  1. Kamilla stood over Kalonice, pouring Mana into her wounds. They were in an empty room in the castle that Kamilla had previously used to fix up Archer and False Rider.
  2. Their wounds had been nothing compared to Kalonice's, or those of her Berserk Caster.
  3. Rider, the real Rider, stood in the corner. Kamilla may not have had Magic Circuits on the level of her sister's, but they were more than enough to allow her Servant to stay physically manifested most of the time without interfering with Kamilla's magecraft. "Caster" on the other had remained immaterial, waiting for Kamilla to finish with his master. Both Master and Servant would need at least a days rest to be back up to full strength in terms of magic, so there was no need to use more than necessary by manifesting when not needed.
  4. "So are you going to explain yourself?" Kamilla asked.
  5. "I already did." Kalonice replied.
  6. "Yes, but the look you had on you face when you tried to sneak out without anyone knowing and the one you had on when you came back were very different. Also, a word of advice, this place is the ancestral home of a family of Magi, and has recently had it's security upgraded even further. Sneaking out undetected is no easier than sneaking in would be." Kamilla paused. "Speaking of, it is a good thing that your Caster took the time to make this place his territory. I shudder to think how long recovery from this level of Mana Exhaustion would take otherwise."
  7. The two stopped talking for awhile as Kamilla continued her work. It was Kalonice who broke the silence.
  8. "I hated her for so long."
  9. "Who?"
  10. "Beserker of Black's Master. We knew each other before the war. Knew each other since we were kids. Those are her scrolls over there in the corner, Ancient Treasures of her family like this Gauntlet is of mine."
  11. "Those scrolls are Noble Phantasms, your Gauntlet lacks such storied history. Even if the level of strength is similar, the Gauntlet is from a more modern era." Rider said, reminding everyone of her presence.
  12. "Yeah, I guess. In the end, my Gauntlet came out on top though." Kalonice responded.
  13. "You seem less happy about that than the look on you face as you were leaving would have implied."
  14. "I hated her for so long. Wanted her dead for so long. But when the time came, when I had to do the deed..."
  15. "The times where what you think you want, what you actually want, and what you get, all end up being the same are few an far between." Rider said.
  16. "Yeah." Kalonice sighed.
  17. Kamilla's hands stoped glowing and she released a deep sigh.
  18. "Are we done? It doesn't feel like we're done." Kalonice asked.
  19. "No, but I need a break, I'm starting to lose focus and that is not something you want to do with healing magecraft. I'll handle the rest later. Caster's Territory should help speed up you recovery and his in the meantime." Kamilla replied.
  20. "Hopefully nothing happens between now and then." Rider said.
  21. "C'mon, we're way up in the sky, the only one that can reach us on the other team is Rider. All the balls are in our court, whats the worst that could happen?"
