[12:52 AM] Bozai has had a very good day...!

He started it off early, slipping out to visit neighbors to get things for his first date (!!!!!) with the cutest, prettiest, most sassy and delightful girl he's ever known, a perfect darling angel that he's so completely in love with... every inch of her, from her unbrushed hair to her boyish shoulders to her skinned knees is perfection, and he left her humming cutely over breakfast, and came back to a hot meal, which he could really get to appreciate. Maybe... someday... she'll be even more than his girlfriend... maybe someday she'll be his wife...

But that's kind of getting ahead of himself! For now, she's just going to be a cute, cute girl in a cute blue overdress and creamy fluffy petticoats-- he got a couple of insinuations from the girls he's buying them from that he doesn't really have a girlfriend and has just picked up a new hobby, but he doesn't take the suggestion too seriously, since both of them have turned him down repeatedly and, also, aren't as cute as Link-- and they're going to go out and stroll around town, and then Bozai is gonna get to lead her off towards the forest, close enough to the village to see smoke from fireplaces rising up over the roofs but just over a rise so that they can recline on the grass under a tree, and share the food Bozai had left out here, a SMALL bottle of wine and bread and cheese and jerked meat (since Link had never had it!).

Bozai thinks it went pretty well, even if a sudden shower chased them back to Bozai's house, and he's humming and smiling to himself as he drapes warm blankets over them, snuggling up to Link on his bed in the loft while rain plinks against the window.
[01:06 AM] Champion-Link has also had a very good day! He got up to make a yummy breakfast, with a truffle and some venison chopped into omelettes he made for himself and Bozai, while the guy went off on some errands, only to come back with a beautiful new dress for Link to wear! Which Link was pretty pleased with, because that meant he didn't have to find one before their date himself! And it fit pretty darn well, too, all fluffy and swishy and breezy, and he maybe spent the first several minutes wearing it with swishing the skirts around and looking pleased as punch.

And then they were off on their date! Bozai showed him around town, introduced him to some townsfolk, and Link got the distinct impression that he may have been paraded in front of some people to make a point, but whatever. Let Bozai have the ego boost, if it makes him happy, honestly. Bozai shows him the sights, the nearby Sheikah tower that had sprung from the ground after Link had Awoken, anything notable about the town, before steering Link off again towards the woods...

... And to a picnic! Wow!!! Now THIS is what Link is here for!! A+ date, 10/10 would date again. Link got to try jerky and some breads and cheese and have some more wine (this time trying not to drink a lot, no more than a buzz, he really doesn't want a hangover again, or to make regretful decisions). But then some surprise drizzles chased them from their picnic, but that was fun, too! Link laughed as he completely didn't bother to shield himself from the rain, holding onto his skirts as he runs through the showers, getting wet in his hair and clothes and face.

He's not too soaked, though, just a little damp, by the time they get back to Bozai's house, droplets clinging to his honey-amber hair and giggles still bubbling in his throat. And then, they're sitting snuggled on the bed, beside the window, Link turned enough to watch the drops slide down the glass, a blanket over his and Bozai's shoulders, and Link dressed in just his creamy underdress, the overdress set aside over some chair downstairs to dry, even if the edges of the underdress he still wears is damp and the neckline is just a little plunging.

"This was really nice." Link says, finally giving his judgement on their date, turning his eyes away from the rain to look at Bozai, before leaning forward to rest his chin on the man's shoulder an smile. "I had fun."
[01:17 AM] Bozai has in fact noticed that the neckline is kinda plunging... but he won't mention it if Link doesn't, turning his head to smile at Link, happily. "Maybe-- maybe we could do it again sometime?" he suggests, hopefully, running his fingers through Link's damp hair, all tender and gentle. "I would like to, if you'd like to..."
[01:21 AM] Champion-Link laughs softly, and says, "Yeah, I'd like to." And then he hums, tipping his head into the attention of Bozai's fingers, lashes fluttering slightly. "But it'll have to wait until next time I visit. I shouldn't stay for too many days."

So disappointing. Link already looks a bit disappointed. He found himself... really oddly comfortable, these last couple days. Like, really, really comfortable. He found himself almost wishing he didn't have a duty, a destiny, something so big and important that needed the lion's share of his time and attention, so that he could instead just faff about, cooking and resting and running in rainy grass and under dripping leaves with laughter in his lungs.

He sighs softly. "I was thinking of staying one more night and leaving tomorrow. I don't know when I can come back, but I'll definitely visit whenever I'm in the area."
[01:24 AM] Bozai says, warmly, "Well-- well, even if it's not for a while, you're always welcome here, my little dove. I'll always be happy to see you, you know?" He presses a little kiss to Link's forehead, and scratches at Link's scalp. "Even if it's just for a place to stay, or to raid my pantry, or dry off from a storm before leaving again, you're welcome in my house." Mwah mwah... He's maybe a little bit in love. Or a lot in love. Or just really obsessed with this really cute girl.
[01:31 AM] Champion-Link smiles warmly, closing his eyes a moment, and says, "I'd like that, thank you. There's not enough safe or comfortable places in Hyrule." He does appreciate it, really. And he's definitely already planning to take up Bozai on probably every single one of those suggestions, especially when, with the main Hyrule Field swarming with guardians, the main road south of town is the fastest, safest connection between Zora's Domain and the snwwy mountains surrounding Rito territory, with Death Mountain in between. He'll probably be through here a lot.

Link accepts the smooches with more of a smile, and maybe with some returned smooches of his own... But as for Bozai being in love or just really obsessed... Link thinks its probably the latter. Bozai still barely knows Link- sure, he could be infatuated, definitely very attracted, and certainly fascinated and eager to know Link more. Maybe it even could lead to love. But right now? Couldn't be.

And speaking of... If this is going to be a Thing, Link using Bozai's home and sometimes going on Dates with him, even if he's definitely not ready to spill the whole truth about who he is and definitely not that he's not even a woman... He should probably at least let Bozai in on some important facts about himself. "Hey... Bozai?" He says quietly, reopening his eyes and looking up at the man with those sky blues, brow furrowing slightly. "There's something I should... probably tell you?"
[01:33 AM] Bozai smiles wide and brightly, and asks, "What is it?" because he wants to know! Link can trust him! Tell him, Link!
[01:40 AM] Champion-Link wriggles slightly, looking a little uncomfortable, and then sits up, biting his lower lip. How do you tell someone you have no memories? "Um..." What an eloquent start. "You might've... I mean, you've probably already noticed that I'm... That I don't... Ugh."

He sighs, and runs a hand through his damp hair. "I want you to know, that I'm not stupid. I'm not simple." He says, in an insistent tone, looking forward instead of at Bozai. "Just..."

Goddess, this isn't even the first time he's told someone, even someone he barely knows, that he's got no memories. Why is it suddenly difficult...? Okay, maybe an example will help him get started. "Remember... When we almost talked a little about where I might be from? And you asked if I don't know? Well, I don't. I don't know... where I'm from, or how old I am, or who my family was, or who my friends were, or hardly anything about Hyrule." Yeah, that helped, and he looks at Bozai now, the words falling from his mouth now, "I don't know anything about who I am, beside my name and how to fight and..."

... Bozai doesn't need to know the 'and'. Link pauses, and takes a breath, "I have no memories."

[01:47 AM] Bozai goes, smile faltering, "... Oh." and considers this, funny-shaped eyebrows drawing down as he does so-- but he does tell Link, "I didn't think you were simple! You don't seem simple at all. It was kind of weird, the things you didn't know, but... I guess it makes sense if you don't have memories, right?" Thinking, he curls his hand around Link's, and asks, "So you-- you don't remember your past? What do you know? Can I ask that?"
[01:51 AM] Champion-Link does know a few things- he curls his hand back around Bozai's, taking a small comfort in the hand-holding. He knows he was a royal knight, the captain of the guard, even, and the Princess' appointed knight, the Champion chosen by the sword that seals the darkness. He knows he failed. He knows it's a hundred years later, and that he now has his chance to defeat the evil once and for all, and bring Hyrule back from the brink of destruction.

But those aren't things he can really tell Bozai, right now. So instead, he just... shakes his head. "I don't know. Like I said- I know my name. I know how to fight. And I know I have things to do." He shrugs, and leans more against Bozai, tipping his head to let his cheek rest on the man's shoulder. "I'm... slowly picking up a couple memories here and there, but... Nothing that tells me about my family or my home or who I really was."
[01:55 AM] Bozai makes a small, distressed noise, and tells Link, softly, "Man, that sucks..." and petting the back of Link's hand with his thumb. "Do you-- are you looking for your parents, maybe? I think I'd remember you if you were from here, or Lurelin, but maybe they live in Hateno Village, that's a pretty big place...?"
[01:57 AM] Champion-Link bites his lip, and shakes his head. He can't tell Bozai that he knows they're not out there because they'd had to have died early on in the last century, if not immediately in the Calamity, or even before. "I've been in Hateno. Bought a house there. No one there knew me." He sighs through his nose. "I'm not really looking for my past, though. I'm not even really sure I want to know, if I'm honest."
[02:01 AM] Bozai hums, and says, "Yeah... if you like your life right now... then maybe it's better than what you had?" He pets Link's hair, gently, and tells him, "I mean... I hope your life right now is pretty okay... and maybe I can make it nice, too? So you don't feel like there's anything you're missing?
[02:01 AM] Bozai: "
[02:04 AM] Champion-Link isn't sure if what he has now is better or worse, really. He couldn't even guess without knowing more about himself, but... Well. He still feels like, being so... close to someone like this, sweet and intimate, is new even to his past self. That might make it a little better. "Maybe." He says, and smiles a little. "I do like having someone to be close with, and who will kiss me."

He lifts his head again, to smile at Bozai, and also present to him a face he should probably be kissing. "I feel like it's unfamiliar enough that I didn't have it before I lost my memory. It's new, unlike knowing the feel of a sword and shield in my hands."
[02:07 AM] Bozai is a little breathless-- wow, his girlfriend is a BADASS, god(dess)damn-- but also breaking out into smiles, and says, "Well! Maybe we should make it familiar together!" and kisses Link, sweetly, right on the lips, then kisses him some more, and then just! keeps on kissing! because wow! Luv this Link!"
[02:09 AM] Champion-Link likes this plan! In fact, between the kisses, he tells Bozai so, a smile on his lips, "I like the sound of that. We should fit as much of it as we can before I have to leave tomorrow." Which means... more kissing! Mwah mwah mwah! And Link kisses pretty eagerly, leaning more and more and more into every smooch, until he's sitting up on his knees, curling his arms around Bozai's shoulders.

"Touch me." He murmurs bossily against Bozai's lips.
[02:12 AM] Bozai is very happy to get bossed around like this, running his hands down Link's back, fingertips brushing the skin on the back of his neck and between the straps of his underdress before they hit cloth, skimming downwards to Link's hips and petting him through the thick fluff of petticoats while Bozai moans softly at just how PERFECT Link feels under his touch, how lovely and good his girlfriend is...
[02:27 AM] Champion-Link moans a little, too, if mostly mixed with a long sigh against Bozai's lips, pleased as punch, eyes fluttered shut. Goddess, does he love to be touched like this.
