↬ PERSONALITY:
	↠ Caring – Jihyun grew up in a household full of love and care, for each other and every guest who stayed in their hotel. He was taught everyone deserves love and care. He takes great care of his fellow trainees/members and helps them out whenever he can, sometimes sacrificing his own practice and self to do so.

    ↠ Hard working- Because Jihyun started working and training at such a young age he developed an incredibly strong work ethic and doesn’t give up easily. Jihyun constantly works to better himself at everything he does.

    ↠ Responsible – Jihyun grew up working at the family hotel and taking care of his siblings. He began training at 16 when he moved away from his family and to Seoul to train at SM. Because he started training and working at such a young age Jihyun has become very responsible and mature. He deals well with stress and stays level-headed in a crisis, this is very valuable as a leader when the members are getting worked up over something.

    ↠ Charismatic - Jihyun is very charismatic on stage and can capture an audience’s attention without even lifting a finger. He also has an incredible presence on camera as well. He knows how to work a crowd and camera, getting their attention and keeping it.

    ↠ Perfectionist – Jihyun has always been a perfectionist, although in recent years it has gotten to be damaging. He always tried to do his best but now he constantly tears himself down when he does anything other than the best. It has gotten to the point that he struggles to feel proud of his work and always feels he should have done better. This can lead to Jihyun being very harsh in judgement of others performance or work – this is never mean-spirited.

    ↠ Harsh – Because Jihyun is the leader he has to make sure all the members are doing the best they can and are getting things right. Often he has to set aside his and their feelings and look at them objectively, pointing out their faults ruthlessly, this paired with his perfectionism make him rather harsh in judgement. He doesn’t mean to be rude or uncaring, but he has to set aside their feelings for the betterment of the group.

    ↠ Stoic – Jihyun doesn’t open-up easily, because he comes from a very busy and reasonably large family he was never one to talk about his feelings, not wanting to take away precious rest time from his parents or brother. This has led to Jihyun bottling things up and never sharing his struggles or worries which, as a leader, he has a lot of. He never shows his struggles in front of the members and always tries to keep a game face on, none of the members have seen him cry. (it would be nice if he could develop a relationship with one of the members - the most responsible one or the father of the group - where Jihyun feels he can share his worries and insecurities with them)

    ↠ Self-Conscious - Jihyun struggles with self-confidence issues and has for his whole life. He grew up in the shadow of his slightly older brother who is very smart and sporty and always achieved everything that he set his mind to. This made Jihyun feel like a failure in most areas of his life, he could never live up to his brother at school or on the sports field but he could when it came to performance. This is what really sparked Jihyun's love of performance, the one thing Jihyun has confidence in.

    ↠ Flirty - Jihyun spent his most formative years with some of the most unashamedly flirty people in the world – NCT and Red Velvet. This has led to him being very flirty and outwardly affectionate. He loves skinship and using bad pickup lines on anybody around him, his members, his boss the variety host, anyone.

	↠ Encouraging - Jihyun has been through 8 and a half long years of training. He has had to work through a lot of rough patches and moments of little to no motivation through those years. This has given him a unique ability to motivate and encourage his members, he knows what they are going through and what helped him. He works hard to keep their spirits high and keep them fully motivated and ready for the challenges ahead.

	↠ Silly - despite his maturity and responsibility Jihyun is very silly. Because he grew up so quickly he never got a proper childhood and so he plays around a lot as an adult. Jihyun joins in the antics of the other members and loves teasing them. When there is nothing required of him as a leader he becomes quite the troublemaker and pesters everyone. Jihyun shows this in front of fans but is very careful to not cause trouble when on variety shows or at fan-signs because he is the leader after all and he takes that responsibility very seriously.

↬ BACKGROUND(you know I had to include it >.<):

	↳ Jihyun grew up the middle child of three. Although he is the middle child he was always the parent of the group, most likely due to his older brothers dedication to school and the family business. Since he was young he helped around the family hotel - cooking, cleaning and tending to the guests. This taught him an immense amount of responsibility and gave him a good work ethic. He also got the job of entertaining the guests in the evenings, this sparked him love of performing. Although he was always very nervous to get on stage the feeling of singing for an audience and being able to capture them made it all worth it.

	↳ Though he worked hard at school he never really succeeded, always remaining in the middle of the class rankings. He was always in the shadow of him older brother, an incredibly smart and sporty young man, this dented young Jihyun’s self-confidence, something he still hasn’t been able to build back up.

	↳ Jihyun always took care of him siblings when their parents were busy with the hotel or at hospitality conferences, this helped him become the mature and caring young man he is today. He was very hesitant to leave Andong, him family and all he had ever known to chase he dream of being a performer, he was scared that he would fail and disappoint him family, but him parents and brothers encouraged him and eventually he went. Their unending love and support still motivates him to this day. He began training at SM in August 2010 and was a rising star among the trainees for his beautiful honey-like voice. He trained with NCT and Red Velvet and watched the people he trained with get the chance at debut something he was never given, again and again he was passed over.

	↳ This led to Jihyun becoming a little depressed and feeling lost about performing, he hadn't been chosen to debut in NCT even though he had been training for longer than most of them. All these negative feelings prompted him to take a break from training and go home, he was given a month. He returned to SM less than a week later ready to continue his training with an energy and excitement he hadn't had in years. At home he had found that he no longer belonged in that small hotel in the little town, he belonged at SM, working towards his dream. Shortly after he got back Red Velvet's brother group was pitched to the trainees.
