Bonnie and Zygarde: The Reunion


	It has been three years since the final battle with Team Flare. Bonnie, now ten years old, is fixing to start her own Pokemon journey. As she heads to Professor Sycamore's Lab, a mysterious boy dressed in a green and black outfit approaches her. He appears to be the same age as Bonnie. The boy doesn't say anything, but follows Bonnie to the lab.

	"Who are you?" Bonnie asks. The boy doesn't answer or say anything. Bonnie enter's Prof. Sycamore's lab and the boy follows her. Prof. Sycamore eyes the boy suspiciously, feeling as if there's something familiar about him. Bonnie gets a Chespin from Sycamore (despite already having the Dedenne Clemont caught for her). He also gives her a pokedex. The mysterious boy seems to be afraid of the pokedex. he follows Bonnie to Santalune City, and watches as she defeats Viola to win a Bug Badge. Viola notices the strange boy walk up to Bonnie as she walks out of the Gym.

	"Are you here for a gym battle?", Viola hollers out. The boy shakes his head, telling her no. Then, he follows Bonnie out the door. Bonnie next heads to Cyllage City. She defeats Grant to win a Cliff Badge. She notices the mysterious boy watching her as she leaves the Gym. He is there in Shalor City when Bonnie wins the Rumble Badge from Korrina, and again when she defeats Ramos to win a Plant Badge. The boy walks up to Bonnie as she heads back to Lumiose City. Her next Gym opponent will be her brother, Clemont. The boy notices Bonnie is sad.

	"What's wrong?" the boy asks, but not out loud. He speaks telepathically, and Bonnie can hear him.

	"I was hoping to find an old friend while on this journey", Bonnie responds, "It's name is Squishy". The boy stops for a second, then catches up to her.

	"I'll help you find this "Squishy" you seek", the boy suggests, against telepathically. Bonnie starts to ask the boy why only speaks telepathically, but realizes he may just be shy or a mute (someone born without the ability to speak aloud). The boy watches Bonnie as  she defeats her own brother and wins a Voltage Badge. The two of them leave Lumiose City together and head north to Laverre City. Bonnie notices the boy gets nervous around the fairy-type Pokemon in the Laverre Gym. After Bonnie wins the Fairy Badge from Valerie, the two of them head to Anistar City. Gym Leader Olympia gets one look at the boy and realizes who he really is, and that he doesn't want Bonnie to know yet. After Bonnie defeats her to win a Psychic Badge, Olympia gives Bonnie a prophetic warning.

	"What you most seek is closer than you realize", Olympia hints. The mysterious boy follows Bonnie out of the gym. He knows the time is coming for all to be revealed to her. The two of them are close to Terminus Cave. As they reach the cave, the boy turns to Bonnie.

	"I am positive you'll find your friend in this cave", He tells her. The two of them enter Terminus Cave together, and make their way to its deepest part.

	"Squishy!", Bonnie calls out, "Squishy!". There is no response. Bonnie takes out her Pokedex and walks around scanning the area with it, in case Squishy has made itself invisible, something she's seen it do before. Again, She gets nothing. Bonnie falls on her knees and begins to cry. As she cries, the boy walks over to her and conforts her.

	"There's no need to cry Bonnie", the boy insists, "Zygarde is here". Bonnie looks around for a second, then realizes something.

	"I never told you Squishy was Zygarde", she wonders, "How did you know that?'. The boy doesn't respond, but instead grabs Bonnie's hand that is holding her pokedex and moves it so she is holding the pokedex directly in front of him.

	"Zygarde: the Order Pokemon", The pokedex chimes in, "When the Kalos region's ecosystem falls into disarray, it appears and reveals its secret power". Bonnie realizes the truth, and the two old friends embrace each other in a hug. as Bonnie tears up again, Zygarde explains everything.

	"Our adventures together three years ago taught me that I still had a lot to learn about humans. I decided I would take the form of a human and live as one for a while in order to experience what it means to be human. I waited until you were ready to begin your journey, and then I approached you to see if you would be able to tell who I was. When you didn't recognize me at the point, I followed you on your journey to see how long you would take to recognize me. When we reached Anistar city, I knew it wouldn't be long until we reached Terminus Cave, So I decided to reveal the truth to you here."

	"I am sorry for not recognizing you sooner", Bonnie apologizes, "Can you forgive me?".

	"Yes. I should have revealed myself to you sooner" Zygarde admits.

	"It's okay", Bonnie insists, "I'm just glad we're together again". Bonnie stands up, wipes away her tears, and the two friends walk out of Terminus cave together, arm in arm.
