  1. >You look around the area you and Daylily are in
  2. >You can see ok, but deeper in the cave where the moonlight does not shine you can’t make out anything
  3. >Guess that’s the bad thing about not being a nocturnal creature unless you have night vision goggles and a steady supply of some caffeinated beverage
  4. >”Nowhere to go here, we need to go deeper into the cave”
  5. >You really do not want to play cave explorer so you quickly look around for anythi-wait a moment, what’s that?
  6. >You get up with your head complaining about it in the form of a slight headache and take a few steps closer to what seems to be a tunnel, blocked by a few large stones
  7. “Could you break these rocks down? Since this tunnel is so near the exit it might lead out”
  8. >Daylily shakes her head
  9. >”I can’t shatter rocks Anonymous”
  10. “Anon’s fine, and I know you can since I saw you do it”
  11. >Daylily looks around and then points at a somewhat large stone near the pile of other stones and dead timber wolves
  12. >”Anon give that rock a poke”
  13. >You stare at the rock and then at the bat pony
  14. “...why?”
  15. >Daylily just nudges her pointing hoof at the rock again so you give it a little kick
  16. >And to your surprise it instantly shatters into small rubble
  17. “wat?”
  18. >”Shatterstone, the most brittle stone you can find in Equestria. I’m not really strong enough to shatter a rock with my bare hoof”
  19. >You turn around to face Daylily again while she mutters the word “yet” out under her breath
  20. “So you fooled those wolves with one of those?”
  21. >Daylily nods
  22. >”U-huh, we were very lucky there was one in that clearing”
  23. “Clever girl...”
  24. >”Thank you. Let’s start hoofing”
  25. >Probably she meant walking instead of fisting but yet the images enter your head for a brief moment
  26. >But you don’t follow Daylily into the darkness and soon enough she walks back into the light
  27. >”Something wrong?”
  28. “Not really, just that I can’t see shit”
  29. >Daylily tilts her head and her ears flick a few times in confusion before she suddenly seems to get it
  30. >”You’re not nocturnal”
  31. “Yeah, if there was some light I might see but that just looks as pitch black as it can be to me, can you really see in there?”
  32. >Daylily nods
  33. >”Yeah I can see. And sorry that you got mixed up in all of this, you must be feeling tired”
  34. >And almost like a spell was cast on you, you suddenly become aware of the fact that you have been awake for a long time today and how you were really looking forward to going to sleep soon after you got home
  35. >And all the walking you’ve done...and now the running...
  36. >You shake your head and try to psyche yourself to being more alert and awake once again
  37. “We’ll be fine if you go first, is there anything I could hold on to?”
  38. >You start looking around again
  39. “Any vines or something we could use?”
  40. >There’s absolutely nothing
  41. >Daylily then clears her throat
  42. >”There’s something...”
  43. >You glance over at Daylily and find her looking oddly uncomfortable
  44. “Great, what is it?”
  45. >Daylily turns around and lifts her tail up, don’t-just look up for now
  46. >”You can hold onto my tail”
  47. >You walk over to Daylily and grab a hold of the tip of her tail
  48. >”But don’t pull on it...please...”
  49. “Ok got it. Well then, lead the way my seeing eye pony”
  50. >Daylily does a little roll with her eyes and then slowly begins to walk into the darkness and you follow behind her, making sure you get a good enough look at something as long as it is illuminated by the light
  51. >And then you slowly walk while seeing pretty much nothing
  52. >This is surprisingly easy, you were expecting to stu-
  53. >And speak of the devil you stumble a little due to some loose rocks
  54. >”C-careful!”
  55. >Well that’s weird, her voice sounded a bit different as you accidentally pulled on her tail
  56. >maybe...maybe it’s a kink or something to her? And she does not want you activating it
  57. >You give her tail a few more gentle tugs
  58. “Whoops sorry hard to walk in total darkness whoops oh dear so sorry whoops”
  59. >Daylily lets out an uncomfortable whimper, it sounds sort of cute but you decide not to push it
  60. “So Daylily huh, that’s a very weird name for a bat pony, shouldn’t it be Nightlily or something like that?”
  61. >You can’t really see what kind of a reaction she has so you’re just left at the mercy of your hearing
  62. >”I could say the same about you, Anonymous”
  63. “Touche”
  64. >”Heh...”
  65. >There’s a brief silence
  66. >”It’s weird isn’t it?”
  67. >You shrug
  68. “Not really, it’s a pretty cute name”
  69. >Daylily snorts, but it does not sound like it’s in annoyance, but does not say anything else in return
  70. “Do you not like it?”
  71. >More silence
  72. >”I...have mixed feelings about it”
  73. “It suits you. I think, I’m no sure what a Daylily is but I am guessing it’s a flower?”
  74. >”Yes it’s a name of some flower...let’s just keep going, I think I can see some light up ahead”
  75. >You look forward again, you’ve been staring downwards at the darkness and towards where you would imagine Daylily’s buttocks would be, and to your surprise you can see a faint glow in the distance
  76. “Let’s check it out”
  77. >Daylily picks up the pace and you manage to match it, somewhat, tugging her tail a few times as you run behind her while struggling to keep holding onto her tail
  78. >Which is surprisingly soft now that you take notice of it, very...touchable
  79. >Soon it’s bright enough for you to actually see something, but should you mention it to Daylily?
  80. “It’s getting brighter, I think I can soon see enough to let go”
  81. >”Ok, just let go and I’ll stop guiding you”
  82. >You hang onto her tail a little bit longer while taking a closer look at this mare you’re with as you do so
  83. >Not bad, you’d hit that
  84. >But soon it’s so bright you have to let go or else she might catch on to what you’ve been up to
  85. >Daylily moves from the front to the side and the two of you arrive into a-
  86. “Wow...”
  87. >”Amazing...”
  88. >A large underground hall with a lake, a small waterfall, stalactites and stalagmites and peculiar bioluminescent flora in the form of lime green and yellow glowing moss and weird purple and blue flowers that look like they’d belong on the bottom of the ocean more than in here
  89. >You follow Daylily deeper into the large area as the two of you look around in amazement
  90. >Daylily stops at one of the smaller pools of water and looks at it curiously
  91. “Did you find something?”
  92. >Daylily signals for you to come over to her
  93. >”Come look there are some kind of weird lizards here”
  94. >She sounds more excited than normally so you decide to go and have a look instead of trying to see any exits
  95. >And you find a few Olms chilling in the water
  96. “Those are Olms, they’re water lizard things with no eyes that live in caves”
  97. >”I’ve never seen anything like them”
  98. >You stare at the Olms and they just kind of are there without really moving or doing anything at all
  99. >You’re about to tell Daylily that you two should get going but as you see her face looking like a curious little filly’s you decide to just let her stare at the things instead
  100. “I’m going to look around a bit more”
  101. >Leaving Daylily with her slimy Olms you look around a little bit
  102. >More moss there, flowers there, more Olms in the water with some weird shrimp like things but no exit
  103. >These sounds of an occasional water drop hitting the pools or small lakes of water sound kind of calming as they echo throughout the cave
  104. >There’s only one place you haven’t seen yet, seems like the hall is divided into two levels
  105. >There’s some vines coming down from a ledge, maybe climb up from here?
  106. >”Did you find something Anon?”
  107. >Seems like Daylily has finished her business with the Olms, she has now joined you in looking at the vines
  108. “Yeah, I think we could climb up from here”
  109. >You let out a yawn, man this day has been so long, what time is it even? Judging by how tired you feel it must be past midnight
  110. >”Do you want to take a break before climbing?”
  111. >You look back at Daylily who’s looking at you now
  112. “Yeah a break would be nice”
  113. >And with that the two of you make your way to a good enough spot and sit/lie down
  114.
  115.
  116. >You’re sitting with what’s left of your backpack next to you (you forgot you still had it on you) and with your back against a dry enough rock
  117. >Daylily is sitting on the ground and handing you a mushroom she picked up just earlier
  118. >”Here Anon, something to eat”
  119. >You accept the mushroom and quickly glance at it, it looks like a poison mushroom no matter how you look at it
  120. “Are you sure it’s safe to eat these?”
  121. >Daylily takes a bite out of hers and chews it down
  122. >”Yeah, I ate these all the time when on the mountains, they’re pretty nutritious and have lots of protein too”
  123. >Protein...do mushrooms work like that? Quite honestly you don’t know
  124. >You take a small bite out of yours and-yeah that tastes like you’d imagine dirt tastes like, you don’t want to eat this
  125. >Suddenly you notice something else as you watch Daylily eat her mushroom and turn it around as she takes bites out of it
  126. >It’s got a face. A freaking face. And it’s staring at you in horror, mouth fixed in a silent scream of terror
  127. >You look back at your mushroom and turn it around
  128. >And now the mushroom is looking back at you almost like it was silently pleading for it’s life
  129. >”Are you going to eat that?”
  130. >You look back at Daylily who’s staring at your mushroom now
  131. >She licks her lips once and you decide to hand her the mushroom back, you are not going to eat that
  132. “Help yourself”
  133. >Daylily takes the mushroom from you as it stares at you like you betrayed it, and keeps staring at you while Daylily bites chunks off of it until it is no more
  134. >And now you’re left with hunger, you were hungry and swallowing even that tiny bit of mushroom you now regret has reminded your stomach just how empty it is
  135. >And a small sense of guilt for the loss of the brave mushroom’s life
  136. >Wait a second your backpack, there might be something left in it!
  137. >You quickly search through the remnants of your backpack and discover 2 cans of pears in juice
  138. >Pulling out your trusty Swiss army knife from your pocket and open up a can and down the sweet glorious juice inside it before fishing out a pear halve with the knife and taking a big bite out of it
  139. >And pear has not tastes this good since...ever!
  140. >Oh, looks like you’ve attracted some attention to yourself, Daylily looks away now that you caught her staring at your pear
  141. >But she seems to be struggling to not glance at it again, her eyes involuntarily twitching towards you and the pear as a frustrated blush starts to form on her face
  142. >You finish eating the pear half and Daylily’s ears flop down
  143. >That is until you fish out the other half, her ears spring right back up and now she definitely glanced your way again
  144. >Only to lock eyes with you briefly and look away again, but this time she turns her whole body to face the other direction as well before sitting back down, her tail swishing about every now and then
  145. “Do you want this pear?”
  146. >*swish swish*
  147. >Daylily turns her head around and tries to regain her composure while looking at you, albeit not very well
  148. >”No, I...already ate those mushrooms...so you should eat it...”
  149. “Are you suuuure?”
  150. >Daylily gulps and then forces the stern look back onto her face and looks away again
  151. >Though the slight pink that you saw left on her cheeks does not go very well with the look
  152. >”Yes, you’ll need to have strength as well if we’re going to get out of this without any problems”
  153. >Another tail swish and an ear twitch
  154. >You shrug and eat the other and last piece of pear in the can
  155. >Daylily’s ears flop down again as she glances at you and finds the pear halve now gone
  156. >Seems like she did not notice you had two cans, so with a grin you pull the other one out while she’s still looking at you
  157. “Good thing I brought extra!”
  158. >She does the hardest she can to not let her excitement show on her face while turning around to face you again as you hand her the can
  159. >But she can’t contain herself once she stares at the can now in her hooves and cracks a little smile
  160. >”Eeeeeeeee~”
  161. >Then she suddenly notices what she’s doing and coughs, blushes and then quickly fixes up her mane a bit with her wing to play it off
  162. >You clean the blade of your Swiss army knife on your pants and fold it back in and the can opener back out
  163. “Here you can open it with-“
  164. >She brings the can to her mouth and pokes a hole on the lid with her fang
  165. >You just stare in confusion as she pokes her wing-claw in through the hole and then uses it like a can opener and opens up the can all by herself
  166. >Wait how strong is this mare exactly again?
  167. >Daylily slurps up the pear juice with her ears flicking about happily before switching from a sitting position to a more lying on the ground-position, and then while holding the can in her hooves she uses her wing-claw like you used your knife blade and starts eating
  168. >...more like wolfing down, she absolutely goes to town on the pear halves, one after another before there’s nothing left
  169. >And then she...slowly licks the juice off of the claw on her wing, enjoying and savoring the taste of fruit she must not have tasted in a while, if her moaning is any sort of an indicator
  170. >But you have to admit, looking at a bat pony mare moaning while licking her claw is not that bad, in fact you need to change the position of your crossed legs a little, just in case
  171. “Was it really that good?”
  172. >Daylily pauses while licking her wing and quickly folds it away while her blush seems to be returning
  173. >”Haven’t eaten anything else than those mushrooms in a long while, sorry that you had to see something like that”
  174. >You keep smiling at Daylily which seems to be making it harder for her to ignore her blush and keep a straight face
  175. “It’s fine, actually it’s more fun to see you enjoy them so much”
  176. >And she now has turned her head away from you so you can’t see her face anymore
  177. >With nothing else to do you ease back and rest against the rock-no wait, you empty out the few items that are left in your backpack leftovers and then use it as a pillow behind your back
  178. >There, much comfier, but now what? Get up and continue? You don’t feel like it yet, got to let the food to digest a little
  179. >And on that bombshell you decide to strike up a conversation with the mare since you want to ask her things and hopefully get to know her better
  180. “You said you were training in the mountains for a while?”
  181. >Daylily does not turn her head around as she answers you
  182. >”Yes, long enough for my landlord to think I wasn’t coming back it seems”
  183. “So why did you want to get stronger anyway?”
  184. >This time around she looks at you again, her expression a bit sad
  185. >”I failed”
  186. >Her ears droop down and she hangs her head a little
  187. >And it only makes you more curious
  188. “At what?”
  189. >Daylily shifts a little so she’s in a more relaxed position while mostly lying on her side and resting her head on one of her hooves
  190. >”I wanted to become a guard pony at Hollow Shades but I failed the test”
  191. >You’re a bit surprised to hear that
  192. “So you decided to train and get stronger so you could try again?”
  193. >”At first yes...I didn’t decide to try again right away, at first I decided to travel around a little bit to...I don’t know, just wanted to get away for a bit...out of Hollow Shades”
  194. “Were you too embarrassed to stay there?”
  195. >Daylily seems to ponder about it for a moment
  196. >”I guess”
  197. “Worried your friends might have given you a hard time?”
  198. >”I didn’t really have any friends, I was so focused on becoming a guard pony that I put all my focus on that so...it was easy to leave and travel around”
  199. >Daylily shifts around again and now she’s fully lying on her side, head against the ground and everything
  200. >”And after traveling around a little I decided to do it no matter what and get stronger so I went up into the mountains to train for some time”
  201. >*tail swish*
  202. >She looks kinda cute lying on the ground like that
  203. “So you were thinking of trying again soon before you got caught up in all of this?”
  204. >Daylily stares at you for a little while before answering you
  205. >”Yeah...”
  206. “I’m sensing a but”
  207. >Her eyes briefly twitch in the direction of her posterior but she seems to then catch on to what you meant before actually glancing at her behind
  208. >”While I was training I started to think about it and now I am no longer sure if I want to be one...it’s been my dream since I was a little filly and I even fantasized of being a part of the royal night guard”
  209. >Daylily lets out a sigh
  210. >”So I took a detour when coming back home and traveled around a bit more while thinking if I wanted to try again or not, and that’s probably when those timber wolves started to follow me”
  211. >Suddenly Daylily sits back up and gives her head a little shake, getting rid of the dirt in her mane
  212. >”Sorry, I’ve just been talking about myself and some dumb problems, tell me more about you”
  213. >Daylily brushes some dirt off of her wings while looking at you
  214. “Me? I’m nobody interesting”
  215. >”I told you about myself, you should return the favor?”
  216. >True, but there’s not much to tell unless you want to spend a long time explaining a lot of human world things and terms, and you’re a bit too tired for that
  217. >In fact you really have to struggle to keep your dry eyes open instead of closing them and just going to sleep while sitting against this rock
  218. “After coming to Equestria I learned a few things about this place and then decided to rent a house near Hollow Shades and start my life in there in the presence of the bat ponies, but the house turned out to be a bit farther from Hollow Shades than I imagined”
  219. >”Yeah, tell me about it...”
  220. “And so far I have been trying to figure out what to do with myself in here”
  221. >You let out a yawn and stretch your arms while closing your eyes
  222. “And then...”
  223. >You’re not really sure what to say, you haven’t really done that much worth mentioning, maybe tell her about the trip to Manehattan? Why is it so hard to open your eyes back up...maybe keeping them closed won’t...hurt...
  224. >You end up dozing off right away
  225.
  226.
  227. >T...take...take that cock! Huh wait what...oh right, cave...means that it was actually a dream you saw just now
  228. >A dream about Daylily coming onto you and outright demanding for you to have rough butt fun with her
  229. >Perfect, meet a mare and already you’re dreaming about violating the sanctity of her anus
  230. >”You ready to move on now?”
  231. >You rub your eyes and look in the direction of Daylily’s voice, finding her returning from one of the pools of water with her face wet, either she splashed some water on her face to refresh herself or she tried to get to know those Olms a bit better
  232. >You’re really not ready, you feel sweaty, groggy and awful just like the days after staying up all night and playing vidya
  233. >You have no idea how long you were out and Daylily seems very eager to move forward so you lie
  234. “Yeah I’m feeling refreshed enough, let’s see about climbing up those vines”
  235. >Forcing yourself to get up you make your way to the vines and inspect them
  236. >Yeah you think you can get up from here, if they hold your weight
  237. >Question is, how will Daylily get up?
  238. “Can you climb?”
  239. >Daylily shakes her head
  240. >”I was thinking you could tie some vines together once you are on the top and then throw them down so I can tie them around myself, and then you could pull me up”
  241. >That could work, but isn’t that a bit to complicated?
  242. “How about you just hang onto me while I climb? It’s much simpler and takes less time”
  243. >”Yeah it would...are you sure you can do it?”
  244. >You suddenly grab the pony and lift her up
  245. “I’m pretty positive, I mean you don’t weight much anything, look”
  246. >You lift Daylily up and down a few times to drive your point
  247. >But then when you stop moving her around you find her cheeks a bit blushed and her mouth in a scrunch so you stop moving her around
  248. “So just grab a hold of me and let’s go”
  249. >Daylily repositions herself so she’s hanging onto your shoulders while resting her front against your back and then you grab onto the biggest vine and start climbing
  250. >It’s pretty easy, but halfway up the vine gives away a little and makes you drop down a few inches
  251. >Daylily lets out a spooked scree and you have to admit your heart skips a beat as well, but the rest of the climb goes without a problem
  252. >At the top you help Daylily down and the two of you look around
  253. >Pretty much the same as the lower level, except there’s a single cave at the back
  254. “Not a whole lot of options, but hopefully it’ll lead out”
  255. >”Yeah, let’s get going”
  256. >Daylily takes the lead again and trots before you as you follow her
  257. >You eye your pony companion once again, but then notice something new
  258. >She’s limping a little
  259. “Did you hurt your hoof in the fall as well?”
  260. >Daylily pauses and looks back at you with mild surprise on her face
  261. >”No, I actually hurt it when I kicked the timber wolf from the window, I’m surprised you could tell”
  262. “All the way from back then? I haven’t noticed you limping at all before this, has it been getting worse?
  263. >Daylily gives her hoof a little shake and cringes
  264. >”A little bit, but I can tough it out”
  265. >she starts walking again
  266. “I could carry you”
  267. >She stop walking again and does not turn her head around
  268. >”...No, that won’t be necessary, let’s keep going”
  269. >And once again she starts moving and this time around you follow her and keep staring at her
  270. >She’s walking a bit slower now and lets out a small, almost inaudible sound every now and then as her hoof hits the ground or she mildly slips on some loose ground
  271. >Yeah screw this you’re carrying her
  272. >You sweep her up into your arms and she goes tense right away, staring at you with wide eyes
  273. >”Anon?”
  274. “I’m carrying you, I owe it to you fro saving my ass”
  275. >”...o-ok”
  276. >Daylily pulls her hooves close to her body and nervously lets you carry her without resisting
  277. “Why did you help me anyway? You could have ran away from the timber wolves much more easier if you just left me behind”
  278. >You glance down at the bat pony in your arms who’s appearing a bit coy all of the sudden
  279. >”I couldn’t have done that, it would not have been right”
  280. >Daylily smiles sheepishly at you
  281. >”And I owed you for kicking you and tying you up”
  282. >Daylily clears her throat and relaxes her body before shifting the stern look back onto her face
  283. >”But if I would not have I would not be stuck here”
  284. “But then you would not have made a new friend”
  285. >The stern look breaks off of her face and gets replaced with surprise
  286. “Unless you don’t want to-“
  287. >Daylily quickly puts her hoof on your mouth to silence you, but then pulls it off as quickly as she placed it
  288. >”It would be nice”
  289. >She gives you a smile and you smile back, and the two of you smile at each other for a little while
  290. >But then it suddenly feels awkward and the two of you start avoiding each other’s eyes until Daylily speaks again
  291. >”You can put me down now, I think I’ll just bear through it”
  292. >You’re about to say something but she keeps talking
  293. >”I want to try bearing it all by myself, if it won’t kill me it’ll only make me stronger. It’s a habit I got into when I was in the mountains”
  294. “Ok then”
  295. >You put Daylily down and the two of you continue onward, with Daylily now holding her head high as if she was full of determination
  296. >And you’re following her again, it feels similar to back how it was when the two of you were dealing with the timber wolves, she was the one in the role of the leader
  297. >Though now she does not appear as stern as she did at first since you’ve gotten to know her a little bit better
  298. >There’s no longer almost any sign of the bioluminescent fauna from the underground hall on the walls of this cave, minus a little moss here and there, and you can see the point of no light approaching in the distance
  299. >”Here Anon”
  300. >She lifts her tail up for you to grab, giving you quite a view from behind her as you grab a hold of the tip once again and follow her into the darkness
  301. >You can hear her let out a yawn
  302. >”It’s probably close to morning now”
  303. >You and Daylily round up a corner and then you see something very welcome
  304. >light in the distance
  305. >”Let’s pick up the pace Anon”
  306. “Roger, lead the way mam”
  307. >It doesn’t take long for the two of you to reach an exit and be greeted by-
  308. “Sunlight?”
  309. >”Aagh, sunlight...”
  310. >Daylily squints her eyes while you look at the sky
  311. >It feels like it’s the morning at most and the sun must have just gotten way up, how long did you two spend in that cave?
  312. “Wow, I must have slept for a long time”
  313. >Daylily walks into your shadow and uses you to block the sunshine
  314. >”I’m not exactly sure, you seemed a bit tired so I allowed you to get some rest while studying those Olms, and I lost track of time myself while at it”
  315. >You suddenly give Daylily a smile which makes her raise an eyebrow at you
  316. >”What?”
  317. “We did it! We got out!”
  318. >You lift your hand up so Daylily can high five you
  319. >But instead Daylily stares at your hand for a brief moment before placing her hoof against it
  320. >”Yeah we did”
  321. >And then you two stare at each other for some time before Daylily pulls her hoof away and looks at it and then at your hand, still appearing a bit confused
  322. >”Let’s look around and see where we are and how far Hollow Shades is”
  323. >Suddenly there’s a loud roar and the sound of twigs and branches breaking as something comes out from the woods and towards the two of you
