  11. Hi there!
  12.
  13. Been trying to get connected on Live chat for a while. Would I be able to speak with the Networking Team please?
  14.
  15. I was advised over the phone that they could help me with the IPV4 Port Forwarding Issues I've had (due to CGNat not being enabled for lower packages like the 150MBit/S one I'm on).
  16.
  17. So I'm trying to set up Port Forwarding for my old game servers (Jedi Academy and XEvil), and it didn't seem to be working over IPV4 as configured in the attached screenshot.
  18.
  19. I took to the web and saw this recent discussion on Reddit about new customers being put on CGNAT. I don't have issues if IPV6 needs to be disabled for Port Forwarding to work on IPV4 with CGNAT disabled if that's how it has to be (though other commenters here seem to say that's not how it works and both should be usable, but again I don't mind if IPV6 isn't available for us).

  23. Any advice? Cheers!

  27. Please kindly clarify how would you like me to assist.
  28. CustomerSent at11:13
  29. If you're able to either put me through to the networking team, or if you can assist yourself then look into the CGNAT issue on our current package to see what's blocking normal IPV4 Port Forwarding that would be great thanks

  31. All the details are above :)
  32. Thobile11:14
  33. Thank you for your patience, Daniel. I would have to escalate for you.

  47. Thank you.

  49. Kindly bear with me on the chat whilst I escalate to support to assist.
  50. CustomerSent at11:21
  51. No worries. In addition I'd also like to keep my main PC (Mars21) with an IP on 192.168.1.100 because I see today it changed to 192.168.1.160
  52.
  53. Is there a simple section on the router portal I can go to set this? I couldn't find it on the Devices list (unable to set a static IP for it). This will help with Port Forwarding if it stays the same, and I had that setup on the Plusnet Router too :)
  54. CustomerSent at11:24
  55. I can test that later just via the Windows settings but I want to make sure the Router doesn't somehow override it
  56. Thobile11:25
  57. No worries .. I have escalated..just bear with me please.
  58. CustomerSent at11:25
  59. Perfect, thank you!
  60. Thobile11:26
  61. You welcome.
  62. Thobile11:35
  63. My apologies for the long wait .. still wait for support to respond.
  64. CustomerSent at11:37
  65. No problem, I'm staying on chat here
  66. Thobile11:37
  67. Thank you.
  68. Thobile11:48
  69. Thank you for your patience, Daniel ... you should be on 3 gig or at least 1 gig package.
  70. Thobile11:49
  71. Feedback from support.
  72. CustomerSent at11:52
  73. Yeah that's what they said on the forum post also, but there's no way to sort it for the lower packages?
  74. CustomerSent at11:52
  75. See discussion on https://forums.thinkbroadband.com/otherisp/4753712-community-fibre-ipv4-port-forwarding-and-ipv6.html?fpart=2#Post4753712
  76. CustomerSent at11:54
  77. Because paying for the higher package just to get port forwarding seems a bit silly as it should be a basic feature that works, it's just with the mixture of IPV6 that issues arise with CGNAT it seems
  78. Thobile11:54
  79. Discussion link sent to support.
  80. CustomerSent at11:55
  81. Thanks :) Hoping something can be done for the lower package, because we don't necessarily need higher than 150 for our needs so might not choose to upgrade for a while
  82. CustomerSent at11:56
  83. But I still would love to run my old game servers and have other ports working through to my machine
  84. Thobile11:57
  85. Noted .. please bear with me.
  86. Thobile12:02
  87. Thank you for your patience, Daniel ... the support team requests the package to be from 1 gig for port forwarding.
  88. CustomerSent at12:04
  89. But why can't it be done for the lower packages?
  90. CustomerSent at12:06
  91. On the forum link, looks like this Paul user was able to have it sorted but only because he requested the terms specifically before signing up (I was unaware it was an issue when signing up)

  97. Still waiting for feedback ... can you please log your query via contact us on the website and they will be able to respond to you directly via email.

  99. Will do, I think I did before also but had no response so went onto Live Chat. Will try again
  100. Thobile12:19
  101. Thank you for understanding ..my apologies that you didn't get a reply, please try again.
  102. Thobile12:19
  103. Still no reply on my end from support.
  104. Thobile12:24
