- § Doesn't allow different views for different folders without manually locking one at a time.
- § Uses a different alphabetical sorting than regular explorer (¬ > ! and #; numbers > []). The latter, the fact that a bracketed title will come after any numerical filenames, is a dealbreaker.
- § Can't display foreign symbols. Chinese / Japanese / Korean filenames are all questionmarks. This is not a big deal at all, very niche, but completely breaking .1% of folders is still really fucking bad. Can change font, but I can't figure out how. It either just doesn't do anything and goes back to segoe, or removes all text from the program until I restore segoe.
- § Typing to quickly go to specific folders in the view automatically starts searching. So if I want to scroll down to the Ds and navigate from there, it won't work.
- There is a setting to change this to select typed item, however this is still different in function than I want. If I type in "Abil" and there's folders named "Ability 1", "Ability 2" and "Ability 3", it finds them all applicable so it will cycle through when typing additional letters. Basically you either need to type enough to narrow it down to only one entry, or stop typing the moment you type enough to get to the right folder. I'm usually typing like half a word before registering what's on screen so being halfway down the list applicable folders is annoying.
- § I don't care about tabs, so I'm not a fan of the ~30 pixels of vertical window space used simply to show different tabs.
- § UI-wise I don't think the address bar stands out enough. This is the main thing I want to click outside the main window.
- § Still uses explorer for folder properties and such, and doesn't integrate into programs, though idk if these are very achievable to change.
- § Not having settings in a separate window is annoying.
- § The left hand window with bookmarks etc. don't allow clicking to see them in full view. I like having Quick Access as my start window, no equivalent here.
- § It's SOOOOOO fast though. Folder sizes makes it slower, and my backup drive took like 10 secs sometimes, not sure why, but all my main stuff with default settings was super snappy instantly.
- § Actually I have gotten some other slow loads. Look like 3-4 seconds to load the Windows folder on C.
