her stamina isn't the greatest and so, at times, she can get exhausted to the point of sleeping wherever she was standing at that moment. being hyper and practice takes a toll on her and she is often seen lazing in her bedroom, sleeping peacefully. whenever she gets lazy, she whines and sleeps more. it does irk the members at times but they were understandable of her situation - knowing that she was always the one who practiced hard the most.

blunt and honest. goddamn the girl can be ruthless just to shut up the members. whenever her laziness comes, she's often shushing the members immediately. getting whiny in front of her? she'll mimic you and give off an honest response on how she doesn't care. or when she's on tv shows, she asks a question and whenever they go off topic, the girl's comments would always be something similar to 'get to the point' which will shock some people. not in a rude way but sometimes she's oblivious to what she says and doesn't realize it until a member explains it to her.

    ah-young was born in daegu, south korea. the girl grew up with a younger brother that was five years younger than her. his name was jinwoo. while growing up, she had found herself making friends with a chinese boy named minghao. while she helped him with korean, he taught her chinese. the two got very close and supported each other. when it was 2004, she saw a poster about an audition for sm entertainment. it perked her interest as she loved singing to her friends and family. as soon as she got home, she told her parents about it. the father was okay with it while the mother had doubts. when she was accepted, she was ecstatic. even minghao was excited for the girl.
     the two supported each other despite ah-young's tough schedule. when minghao had told the girl he was dreaming to be a producer, the girl instantly told him to work hard, saying how she wants to sing one of his songs one day. because of that, the two's bond became stronger. years had passed and the girl was reaching her legal age. her mother had doubted that she would debut, saying she should quit now as it was no use. the girl became stubborn and said no. soon after, she was given the news of debuting. ah-young had told her parents the news and the mother broke down, feeling thankful.
   upon debuting in EXO, she and her group had expanded more and more by the year pass. she was thankful that the fans have supported them throughout every challenge they were given. when she was offered to also work as a solo, she was excited. she accepted the offer with a condition of wanting to choose to work with a certain producer, minghao. the boy agreed on the proposal and the two had finally achieved their dreams. when she was told she was going to debut in another group with SHINEE and NCT, she was hesitant to work with her senior and junior but agreed nonetheless.
