I was born riant and defiant
Singing show-tunes like stranger's scars shout loud
In blackouts and lost and founds

There's ambience in damnation
A warm feeling that wraps around
Like leather jackets and fury
With no consequence

With no consciousness
I would kill every entrepreneur
Without thinking twice
"Be nice", I'm told
Before I'm stabbed in the chest

They tell me there's a God in every machine
But I've spoken with God
She hates your machines
Our machines
All political
All climbing upwards
All fury
With no consequence

Perhaps there's a God in every person
Perhaps, though I'm not certain

As currents carry me South of somewhere

Climbing up and pushed back down

And transience in developed nations
Left to right
Right to left

I would burn it all, if I could
But no one fire can rage that long
All political
All climbing upwards
All fury
So paradoxical
