  1. [13:59] Arriving back at the Dojo with his prodigal daughter Aki, Kirai approaches the training fields where several mutilated straw dummies lay on the ground. Some of them have had their heads punched clean off. Some of them have gaping holes in the bullseye of their chest. And some have simply exploded into a spray of shrapnel.
  2.
  3. Nearby, a jagged, splintered tree stump leans half-way out of the earth. The debris from whatever used to be attached to it seems to have already sunk to the bottom of the lake.
  4.
  5. "You've watched me fight in the Kageken style before, yes Aki? Watched me use my breath control to attain a higher focus, my illusion magic to enhance and distort the path of my blows. You've even faced me when I used it in a spar, yourself. So you understand, it is powerful but also lacking something... The inherent destructive force to dole out singular decisive strikes to a worthwhile opponent or group of opponents."
  6.
  7. So saying, he'd glance at all of the dummies here and the downed tree. He still wasn't fast enough, his blows still not precise enough...
  8.
  9. "Aki, I want you to pick up one of the heads and stand at the other end of the training field. Hold it out in front of you, and whatever you do... Do not move."
  10. (Kirai Kurokaiyo)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [14:03] After sitting around within the city square Aki found her father who asked for some training but she didn't really question it at all she merely followed. Even when she wanted to she couldn't get the words to really ask but she didn't mind nor care enough from what it seemed. Following her father up into the mountains on the way back to the dojo after leaving the square. The two were now present at the little training fields.
  14.
  15. Though she nodded a few times at the fact that there was something lacking in his flow, his style of fighting but she said it himself.A destructive force. Not only that but the a force to wipe out multiple opponents at one which is what he seemed to be looking for.
  16.
  17. "I've been watching really closely through every fight you've been through so I understand."
  18.
  19. She'd walk over and pick up one of the heads from the training dummy and stand across from the other end of the field. She was very still, unmoving. She felt if she did move then she'd probably be caught his attack?
  20.
  21. "Alright ready."
  22. (Aki Kurokaiyo)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [14:10] The repute of the Kurokaiyo family stood head and shoulders above the rest. The technique shown through their Head's efforts gave leeway to Stye's acknowledgement of them. Having witnessed his skill first-hand when facing the nature magi, his pursuit in their style had begun.
  26.
  27. Having faced a student of the dojo and besting them, an invitation was given. 'Come back when you're ready to learn', they said, the lad knowing full well that he would return. Now, here he stood, observing the technique of Kirai himself; he may have been a fan. Even moreso than that, he wanted to exceed the man.
  28.
  29. There, from hind-side, he remained in place, gazing from afar. In his mind, he had hoped he was unnoticed. A man such as the head of the Kurokaiyo himself may have had awareness well above par in that regard. With this being a fact, there was a lingering doubt that alerted Stye he may have already been acknowledged.
  30. (Stye Mandor)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [14:20] Kirai had done his first trial run of the prototype technique he was about to show Aki the day before. Yami had seen some of it. Seen how it allowed him to decimate each and every one of the Dummies in the area. But Kirai felt it was still too slow... Lacking the amount of sheer explosive force needed to be the first true Assassination Technique he'd created himself.
  34.
  35. Then, shortly after that trial run he'd been forced to remember the events involving Caesar and his children. The way it infuriated him, the way he'd harnessed that fury to empower himself with a Drive that was nothing short of bloodthirsty, murderous intent.
  36.
  37. So, as Kirai stands there and curls his knuckles in on eachother, taking a deep breath to focus his mind and fuel his body... He thought back to the day he'd seen Akira lose his leg, the day he'd fought through so many men just to punish Caesar... That was enough to awaken his bloodthirsty aura. Shadows began to swirl around his body, his every movement leaving an ethereal trail of inky black water that was half real and half illusion as he entered his stance: The Kageken.
  38.
  39. Rather than allow his aura to expand and roll off of him like a suffocating wave in all directions though? Kirai drew it in, drew it closer. He focused it around his body like armor, damming it up, directing it... He'd let it build, feeling a sort of mental pressure along with it.
  40.
  41. Exhaling slowly, he'd seem to lean forward into a half crouched position for just a moment before finally allowing the dam to break and letting all of his murderous intent, all of the power it granted him, surge forth!
  42.
  43. Everything went suddenly silent, and Kirai's body disappeared in a blur of swirling black waters. Then the silence was broken by a clearly ringing *plop*. The sound of a single drop of rain breaking the calm waters of a windless lake under the new moon.
  44.
  45. In the next heartbeat Aki wouldfeel a rush of wind as Kirai's form manifested behind her. She hadn't moved at all, and that was good, because even so?
  46.
  47. Kirai had missed.
  48.
  49. The explosive movement leant him incredible speed, but when it came to a small target like the vitals of a human? It was difficult for even Kirai to accurately target them... The straw-stuffed rucksack that served as a dummies head would roll to the ground at Aki's feet, unscathed.
  50.
  51. Kirai would look back at it, after no more than another heartbeat, and sigh. As he did? A trail of illusiory black rain would fall in his wake, a distortion of his light, his murderous intent given form.
  52.
  53. "Let's try again. Even for me, it's difficult to have enough alacrity to be accurate at that speed."
  54. (Kirai Kurokaiyo)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [14:29] Holding her breath staying as still as undisturbed water could be within an unmoving cup. She cleared her mind off all fear. Knowingly she was a very shy girl but when it had to do with training she was an entirely different person. Just like last night with the consistent battles against Id it was an intense catfight but Aki came out on top regardless how close each strike was and after all that Aki felt less nervous, less shy, and much more stronger.
  58.
  59. She felt his intent those inky black waters form from his frame bending like half of himself and use of illusion kept him around watching him enter the Kageken stance. Not only that Aki had front row seats to this but this was extremely dangerous a single mess up, a single movement couldn't potentially meant a harmful injury from the looks of it.
  60.
  61. He was immensely serious.
  62.
  63. Easily it was felt that intent of to kill watching his knuckles curl and taking that deep breath. He'd dash forth feeling the waves of suffocation throughout the entire area, his speed was fast, nimble and his steps were silent.
  64.
  65. A blur of those black waters and a ringing pop through her ears from the sure force that was put into the attack. Feeling her hair sway left to right he'd appear right behind her within a blink of an eye but from what it looked like. He missed. Aki let out a large sigh.
  66.
  67. "I-insane..." Carefully she went over to pick up another dummy holding it in place and again she wouldn't move like she was told. Although after seeing that she couldn't help be a tad bit nervous knowingly if that hit her who knew what state she'd be in.
  68.
  69.
  70.
  71. (Aki Kurokaiyo)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [14:46] Kirai again moved to the other side of the field, and again took up his stance. He needed more focus. He needed more power. He knew he had the physical capabilities to do this, to accelerate his body to this super human level... He just needed to give himself the right motivation. He needed to get into the right mentality.
  75.
  76. So, he closed his eyes, took a deep breath and remembered.
  77.
  78. Thinking back further, he thought to his defeat at Naki's hands. The frustration and humiliation he felt at that moment, being saved by his children...
  79.
  80. The air grew thicker, a faint black mist gathering around Kirai.
  81.
  82. He thought back to Aiyamari who had broken every code and then showed his face only to give Kirai a silent death threat. His own beloved nephew who he'd only hoped to guide down the right path. Who had rebelled against Kirai's control...
  83.
  84. That black mist began to swirl about Kirai's feet, as if small undercurrents, riptides of emotion, were giving it life.
  85.
  86. He thought even further back then... To the most painful memory of all. To the death of his wife, and how he'd been powerless to stop the attackers that tormented her right before his eyes before drowning her in the very same lake he now stood besides...
  87.
  88. All at once, that black mist would begin to shoot out in every direction from him, like a geyser venting it's contents.
  89.
  90. His eyes snapping open, his body leaning forward, and with not so much as a blur the unreal event would occur. He was gone, and the black mist that had gathere around him dissipated as a burst of blow-back was left in his wake.
  91.
  92. The sound of a rain drop on still waters in sudden silence.
  93.
  94. The rush of gale force winds.
  95.
  96. Then? The Dummy's head in Aki's hands woould seem to simply disappear, the force of Kirai's blow having transferred such incredible force that the cloth and it's straw contents were torn apart to pieces smaller than the human eye could normally see.
  97.
  98. And Kirai? Kirai was standing on the other side of Aki again, his fist extended, his knee bent. Slowly, he'd exhale.
  99.
  100. And as his breath left his body, there would be a sudden suction as the air seemed to collapse in on itself, and then a thunderous boom radiating from his fist sending a secondary and even more forceful backdraft from it.
  101.
  102. A sonic boom.
  103. (Kirai Kurokaiyo)
  104. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  105.
  106. [14:53] All she could hear right now was the sound of her heart beat. Hearing each thumb within the moment of silence watching her father prepare for another attack. Thoughts ran through her mind wondering if she would also have to one day unleash a force as great as that. To move so quick and quiet and to hold such force behind a single attack, Aki couldn't believe what she saw.
  107.
  108. Could a little girl really stand still after seeing what could happen if this were to actually hit her. Her breathing was a little shaky, she couldn't get that out of her head the force the power everything that was used in such a fluid like motion into an attack. The motions of an highly adapt assassin is what she was seeing.
  109.
  110. And now that black mist back to swirl under his feet seeing the illusionary currents of the black waters. He was channeling all his intent, his energy, his skill and power into a single forth dash attack that was meant to attack many different foes at once.
  111.
  112. Aki had blinked for only a single second and she missed it he appeared within her face at such a terrifying speed to only see waves of mist around his body those ragging waves like shark swimming through water for its prey.
  113.
  114. The dummy within Aki's hands was suddenly gone in that single instant. That force ripped that dummy into shreds leaving nothing but straws and the linage that was used to make the dummy. A power gust swaying her clothing from side to side as Kirai appeared right behind Aki.
  115.
  116. Fear?
  117.
  118. She was unable to move after seeing those eyes as if he was really trying to kill her but in all he wasn't. Soon that boom that was created from his attack was heard through the mountains of the area. Aki turned ever so slowly to glance at her father without a word.
  119.
  120. "..." Staring in amazement.
  121. (Aki Kurokaiyo)
  122. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  123.
  124. [14:54] Kirai Kurokaiyo says, "That's enough for now Aki.. Thank you."
  125. [14:55] Aki Kurokaiyo says, "Y-yes no problem father."
