I forcefully looked for it.
I found a fanfic (I don't remember what) a couple years ago and forgot about it. I then heard about the show while it was airing and realized "Oh crud, this is that same thing."
I found Okayado's pixiv after playing MonMusuQuest and then searching for Monster Girls on Pixiv. That was back in 2011 and I was hyped when in march 2012 he started publishing his Manga.
I work at a library, and found it in our collection when shelving one day.
