Franklin Jones was a capable combatant and a killer *before* he even became a vampire. Trained by the army in the heart of WW2, he is familiar with most weapons (of the era), and is an expert of hand-to-hand combat.

His transformation into a vampire, along with 70 years spent living like an animal and honing his abilities have only made him more powerful. Like all vampires, he can use ingested blood to accelerate his healing and enhance his body to superhuman levels.

His clan, the Gangrel, specialize in three vampiric disciplines. Animalism, Fortitude, and Protean, though the last of these is the only one unique to their clan and their most closely guarded secret.

Animalism allows for speech and the power to command beasts at lower levels, which is the most Frank has learned of this power thus far. It is known that at higher levels, it allows control over the inner beast within sentient beings, which is a power he does want, though there are others that are more alluring.

Fortitude, as it's name implies, allows a vampire to resist or even ignore injury. While all vampires can laugh at bullets and regrow an arm chopped off by a sword, those vampires with Fortitude can stave off things that other vampires fear, such as the heat of flame and the light of the sun. While Frank certainly isn't about to go wander into a burning building or watch the sunrise, more than once a bullet or blade has bounced off his flesh rather than finding purchase.

Protean, the clan secret of Gangrel, allows for the powers of shapeshifting. At lower levels, eyes which can see through any darkness and indestructible talons can be grown, and the Gangrel gains the most coveted ability, to sink into the earth and sleep inside the ground during the day. Frank has gone beyond even this, as he has a certain preference for the shapeshifting powers, and has now even unlocked the ability to transform into animals, either an owl, or a bear.

His preferred form for travel, a great horned owl of immense size. It appears mostly normal, though he retains his catlike eyes in all forms, which will quickly become obvious in higher light levels, not to mention a small wolflike tail and a fluffy white chest.

In serious battle, he takes on the form of a grizzly bear, though with similar out of place animal parts (catlike eyes, white fur on the chest, and a wolf's tail). Immensely strong and even harder to kill in this form, he bear-hugs or mauls his foes to death quickly.
