The world that Wandering Light landed isn't a sphere world. Neither a flat world. It's a Habitable section of the ruined Ring world orbiting around the star.

 The ring itself used energy from the star. The section rotate to perform day and night simulations. The ring rotate to perform a gravity and years. It's said the chief god built this world. So, the chief god might be a remnant of an advanced civilizations.
