+nationalparksign __ Are you sure you can make the YouTube view count go up by revisiting the video? I know that used to be possible but I did some experiments a couple of months ago and that behaviour didn't seem present. I haven't checked it in a while though.



As for the overall increased views - keep in mind that I mirror all of my public comments to Pastebin which then get indexed by multiple search engines etc.



In recent weeks we have been exchanging a lot of messages and so it could be coming from that.



But at the same time I'd have thought Google - being a popular "search engine" itself - would know how to not count views from bots/search engines.



So - it is possible that those search engines are then crawling the URLs I give at the top and bottom of each comment I mirror.



Although - if that were responsible for the increased view count then my videos should be getting far more views as well because many of my comments are to my own videos.



So - I don't know what it is! It's weird! If people are "watching" they are biting their tongue.
