HOME LIFE:
       hyunjung herself wouldn't call it a 'home life', it's more of a 'house life until we move to another city'. but that's just because she doesn't want to admit the fact that they way she has lived has never changed since the day she was brought into this world, despite the fact she had two incredibly annoying sisters.
         after hyun's mother had studied mammals' lifestyle for the majority of her university years, things instantly changed once there was a bun in the oven. after seeing a brass bed designed for children in a shop window, she had 'found her calling'. yet her father hadn't.
          with the fact that hyunjung's mother's little business wasn't providing enough income and her father soon leaving his job after only a few months because it was supposedly just too much for him to handle, the chu household were constantly on the move. that meant they moved from seoul back to daegu (where both were originally from)  and then from daegu to even more places. it was difficult for them at first, but after hyun was born, they decided not to move as much. despite the fact that they still weren't earning enough to keep a house for over a year.
            that was until hyunjung's beloved sisters came along, which she believed were worshipped and favoured over her. there is nothing much she could do about that due to only being a young age herself, but just continue to act like nothing was wrong, even though she would always be the last one to receive her plate at the dinner table and she didn't get the princess cups anymore.
             around came school. it wasn't bad at first until someone decided to steal her cookie from her lunch box in her first year when she was still practically a baby. she screamed and cried and refused to eat until the teachers offered her a new one from subway the next day. let's say it was a downhill spiral from there. when getting picked up from the school gates that day, her parents could barely hold in their giggles after the teacher had told them what hyun had been up to. some people say that's where she got her determination to annoy from.
               i mean sure, who hasn't stolen a pencil from class before? but who steals a pencil from the class and then purposely breaks it on half and leaves it in another child's cubby? hyunnie of course! doing things like that from a younger age definitely gave her a sense of control that she likes. it's not overpowering, but she was feared by some of the children in case they would get the blame for her actions next. it was perfect.
               her home life was much different however. with their family still financially struggling most of the time, hyun was always encouraged to do some lemonade stands or offer to hand out the papers on a saturday morning to people in their neighbourhood. not like that earned them much more than what they were without it, but every penny counts, as her father would say. their family tried their best to stay in the same area that wasn't far enough to make the school run impossible without a car. but after a while, things had to change.
             buying houses in the area they once lived in became much harder after the raise in prince for them. renting out didn't help either. with the increase in home prices throughout the entire city, the family had no other choice but to move. you could say that it was a beginning of an obsession. not that the change in scenery is bad.
              when moving from daegu to gwangju, the chu family had thought they'd found the perfect city for them; everything just looked so nice in their eyes. shame they were stuck in a stuffy apartment for 6 months while the house they were renting went through an intense redecorating. who knew that in a two-bedroom apartment was where things would pick up? hyun's father had found a promising job (for the time being) and her mother had finally got enough buyers to call her online interest, a business.
                at the age of ten, hyunjung's behaviour was at its worst. talking back to teacher constantly, doing practically the opposite of what she was told and even getting into the odd fight for the short time she was there, you could call it her 'rock bottom'. after a particular fight, hyun had went home that day with a sprained wrist, black eye, and a 3 day suspension. let's just say she was grounded for the rest of the school year and break. let's say it was not pretty. but being stuck inside and not being able to play on her play station really made her think about her life choices.
                  let's just say that she went back to school a different person. people had decided keeping a distance was going to solve all of their many problems with her, but do you know how that makes a ten year old feel? let's just say that they were evicted for putting a hole in the wall with a chair and several fist punches.
                   so maybe gwangju wasn't the perfect place. it was fun for the two years that it lasted. guess it was off to ulsan.
                    she kept quiet there, a little too quiet. it was as if a flip had switched. but maybe the flip was switched by one of the other quiet girls from her old school in gwangju, when she told the entire school what a bad influence she was. it was sad really, the now thirteen year old girl not being able to ask her mum and dad whether she could invite friends over from school; she hardly had any.
                     ulsan was a pest, with a lack of jobs to select from and shipping being incredibly pricey, the chu family had moved again.
                     and again, and again, and again. you know those men who marry so many different women because their marriage falls about due to lack of compatibility? that was like hyun's parents with cities and homes. her father seemed to have commitment issues to everything except for his wife and family. and her mother just tagged along, claiming that her sales were being affected because shipping cost too much in that area.
                     so we skip to today, where hyun is at her, who knows what number school. she's used to the rumours floating around by now, the ones of how she can throw a decent punch despite having practically no muscle. she's more of a misunderstood outcast rather than a delinquent. despite sometimes using a fake id to get some alcohol for those kind of nights, but we don't need to discuss those.

PLANS FOR THE FUTURE:
      hyun wants to become a teacher, of some sort at least. or move to china. she's sick of the same scenery that she sees throughout all of the cities that she moves to, she needs something new. she has the ultimate plan to become a teacher who teaches children chinese, but that's if she can learn to speak it before she graduates.
PERSONALITY:
       CHU HYUNJUNG is an odd character. she is always coming off as a misunderstood teen, or so her parents refer to her as to the neighbours, when in all honesty it's far from it. after rumours spreading from school to school, thanks social media, hyun has always been pushed out of the scene and brought towards the back of school to smoke whatever those people can find worthy enough. sure, there's nothing too bad with a good hit up before class, but it has brought even more rumours around, bringing around ones about her 'multiple piercings' and 'tattoos', despite only being young. the truth is that hyun just doesn't fit into a crowd, and therefore is pointed out by said crowds for the things that made her just inches away from acceptance.
     HYUNNIE over here can be known for her natural stern look and her tendency to 'not give a fuck'. who can blame her? why would someone want to make themselves look even more vulnerable than they already are? despite the constant criticism of how 'she is the opposite of this entire school's morals!' she continues to soldier through and keep the stern face until lunch, where she can let it out with a good talk with people who won't remember it by the time that bell rings for next lesson. sure, it can get her into a pretty good heap of trouble by the teachers because of her resting face acting like she's so disinterested in the work, but her family don't mind. it must be hard for someone like her, considering her sisters are practically joined at the hip and always have each other, making her the sister that is left out.
      BUT that's not all of the story. despite her negative looks and all, hyun is a relatively okay person once you get close enough. the sour face will slowly but surely disappear whenever you're near and will turn into an awkward smile, but nevertheless a genuine one. she isn't necessarily known for being loyal, but she can keep a secret if she deems it worthy enough of it. but it's not like she ever gets to that stage. chances are her family will be moving soon, again.
              SO, despite coming off as rude and violent, and also cold, hyun isn't that bad. she's only the opposite of her sisters, hyperactive and constantly excited. she's a genuine girl, and she doesn't let anyone change that, even though a lot of people judge her for it. she may seem introverted and a lone wolf, but the love and affection from her family is all that she needs to get by, as they're practically never apart (despite school and work, of course). friends are overrated, right? but that's just because she's never really around often enough to make them, and a few bad eggs decide to spread some terrible rumours about her punching even more people in their school and showing up to class stoned many more times than most.

LIKES:
    VIEWING NEW HOUSES;; on a bad school day, her mother always seems to cheer her up with showing her some houses that they are looking for in their next city that they'll travel to.
    HISTORY;; from historical tv shows to just he subject in general, hyunjung loves history. she finds learning about how the world came up to this point in time is calming and also very exciting.
     CATS;; despite not being the best animal lover out there, she does have a soft spot for cats- especially ones that constantly frown and look fluffy and warm.
      BLANKETS;; the one thing hyun refuses to get rid of are blankets. she just loves the warmth of them- they remind her of cats.
       DISNEY MOVIES;; one of her weak spots, especially the little mermaid.

DISLIKES:
        COLD WEATHER; despite also hating he summer, hyun prefers autumn or spring weather.
         SUMMER; it's too humid, and there are too many bugs for hyun's liking.
         SNITCHES; she's had many of those in her lifetime so far, and like they always say: snitches get stitches.
          BEING LONELY; although she is all day alone at school, HYUNJUNG actually relies a lot on being social- it's a way for her to calm down and let her anger out- her father always listens and 'understands', even though he really doesn't.
          KEEPING DIARIES; no matter how many times she's tried to let out her feelings on papers, letting it out with words seems much more secretive- even if it is just to herself while she's in the shower.

TRIVIA:
              STRANGELY, hyunjung likes to watch documentaries about murder cases. maybe that's where people thought she was a serial killer came from.
             HYUN is actually bisexual. she absolutely hates to admit it and would never tell anyone, ever- but it's something that she had to learn the hard way, and she can't escape it no matter how ashamed of it she is. she feels as if people will think she's someone who likes to sleep around, which she definitely isn't. *
             HYUNJUNG likes to colour in her spare time, especially large drawings that take hours to even get the outline done. it's a great way to listen to some new music and procrastinate from homework.
             SHE often imagines herself in a world where she is popular and doesn't have to move house all the time, but she definitely doesn't like it. it's more of a thing to do to pass time instead of actually wishing for it before she goes to bed at night.
            DESPITE wanting to move to china when she is older, hyun is scared of leaving her family.

SCHOOL SCHEDULE: **

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
    despite staying behind in the school library on some days, hyun hasn't really thought about joining any extra curricular activists due to the thought of it being troublesome when she leaves for another school. however, she has been offered by most of her classes to stay behind to do some 'catching up on what the rest of the class has done' but she rarely goes through with them.

BEST SUBJECT:
   LUOESIAN HISTORY ; although many think that the subject is boring, hyunjung finds it interesting at the fact that this was what helped build her life, as cheesy as it does sound. it's one of the things that she puts her best effort into, as she would like to be able to tell her children all of the stories of what it was like back in those times without having to listen to their teachers waffle on about it.
WORST SUBJECT:
     BIOLOGY ; hyun believes that it is practically useless after she leaves school, and felt pressured to take it due to her mother's past of studying animals. it bores her to death and finds it a good place to sleep in.

WHICH SLOT IS SHE CLOSEST TO:
      DEAD GIRL WALKING ; it's hard to think that these two would get along, but hyun probably feels like the lack in speech really helps them connect. as cheesy as it may sound, hyun believes that she somewhat relates to DEAD GIRL WALKING.

WHICH SLOT DOES SHE DISLIKE:
     BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY ; hyun prefers to not be bossed around, and BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY tends to go against that quite a bit. despite the odd dirty look she has been thrown by her, they don't tend to mix.

DATING EXPERIENCE:
         hyun has been on the move too much to consider dating, except for that one boy that she cannot remember the name of for the life of her that she used to share her cookies with at lunch when she very first started school. that's probably the closest she has ever gotten.

HOW DID THEY END UP FALLING ASLEEP IN CLASS:
        after a stressful night of homework and having to face that she may or may not have to stay in this city for longer than the family anticipated, hyun thought she would catch up with some old friends around the back of the school. a joint later and she can't even manage to stay awake during registration, so as expected, she just takes a 'five minute' nap on her desk while she waits for the teacher to come in and begin with the class.

PERSONALITY:
         KIM SEOKJIN is a man of his country, not a man of his people. people tend to jump to conclusions and say that they are the same thing, but in royalty you will realise that those things are much different. the most important thing for him at the moment is to be able to rule luoes without too many problems, but that thought will die down once the nation are in a stable place, and maybe the risk of power being lost will be only simmering at the back of his mind, and he can focus on his people more, rather than his land.
          DON'T jump to conclusions when you first meet him, he is definitely charming when he doesn't have duties that are practically drowning him. maybe you'll realise why he asked for the help.

LIKES:
       SUCCESS ; which monarch wouldn't want it? succession in everyday life and to the throne are both brilliant things, and are a way to a man's heart.
        WINE ; imported from foreign countries all over the world? one of his favourite things to sip on when he finally gets the chance.
         SOLITUDE ; when you're surrounded by people all day, when you get a few minutes to yourself (even when you're just trying to rest) is paradise, especially for an introvert.
          FIRE ; not like that! the kind that you can sit in front of on a cold night in your room and relax. what would make it better would be some wine, and maybe someone to play cards with.
          JOKES ; although coming off as a very professional man, he can't help but burst into fits of laughter whenever someone tells him the right joke.
DISLIKES:
           LOSS ; being a royal is all about loss, you're meant to act sad whenever one of your many uncles passes, despite the fact you actually haven't met him before. he also hates the idea of losing a battle, but it's not like that's going to happen any time soon.
           MUSIC ; the classical music tends to get him annoyed and tense, that might just be because the court musicians can only play a minimal variety of music, when him and his brothers can play much more than him.
           OVER-REACTORS ; he's had plenty of those coming towards him when they claim they have seen intruders in their land. it's a shame really, a lot more than expected have been extremely punished for it.
            TOUCHY-FEELY PEOPLE ; it may be nice when it's your significant other, but it certainly isn't nice when the person you don't love is constantly draping themselves all over you.
             WASPS ; a rather silly thing to dislike, but he was stung when he was just a young boy, making him scarred for life after he got out of the thought that it would kill him.

TRIVIA:
             SEOKJIN often fears that he won't be a good ruler, yet his father still states that he is very capable and eligible for the job.
              HE has a tendency to dislike seafood more than other foods, but he still doesn't mind it.
              HE knows that he overworks himself, but that doesn't stop him from telling himself that 'there's just one more file to go through'.
               DESPITE all of the talk around court, seokjin likes to have a 'companion' around when he gets stressed out. not in a sexual way, but in a more 'helps to calm him down' way. just someone to pat him on the back and to tell him that it's all okay does the trick.
                HIS handwriting is often unreadable by most people, and is more often than not spending his time re-writing letters than actually reviewing them and sending them off.


YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION:
           HYUNJUNG took it as someone that was more or less going to force her to do what she must, and wouldn't go down without a fight (physical or verbal), just like nearly every single teacher that keeps her behind due to lack of work. but the effects of a good joint seemed to had heightened or the room just got a lot brighter and began to smell of roses, no one can really be sure.
HIS FIRST OF HER:
             AS wicked as it may seem, seokjin believed that it was just another peasant dressed in odd clothes that had came to complain to someone in the court that he just so happened to catch eye contact with. not that he was complaining.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS:
       BEGINNING; they hardly see each other, yet when hyun decides to roam around some afternoons or evenings, they'll catch eyes again, and then look away as if nothing happened. until one day 'what are you doing here?'.
        MIDDLE; they still don't talk much, yet have ended into a few conversations about the weather and what a lovely week it has been, and the cuisines.
        END; after maybe a few accidental kisses, things are awkward. it's like they're back to square one, but it's not like hyun can do anything about it.


DOES SHE GO BACK OR STAY:
          HYUNJUNG loves luoesian history as a subject, but the real thing is much darker and much more scary than the light-hearted paintings that are found in some art galleries or in people's textbooks.
       SHE ends up finding that this isn't a place that she wants to stay in. knowing about its dark future before they reached a point of electronics, she doesn't want to even hear about that. she's stayed long enough.
       PLUS, she has the rest of the country to explore, and the world is her oyster after that. why would she when she has an actual life of people without opinions on her?

       after eyeing a girl from court for a little too long, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER gets suspicious. after a while she comes to the conclusion that hyun could possibly be a lesbian. after a long wait, IKWYDLS decides to confront hyun on the subject- and it does not end well. hyun decides to come clean and admit that she is bisexual, after a lot of tears.
        HYUN and DEAD GIRL WALKING have a gossip session - could lead anywhere really, from laughing at the other girls to them secretly realising where they actually are and what they are doing.

LOVE INTEREST SCENE SUGGESTIONS:
    [ I really don't mind smut, however it optional, you can write it for hyun if you want, but I didn't really think of any specific scenarios for her and seokjin to do that kind of thing, yet you can include it if you want! ]
        WHEN hyunjung is on a late night walk around the court (she doesn't really know why, maybe just to clear her head), she is spotted by a familiar face, which turns into a very awkward telling off about how a woman like her shouldn't be out at that time of night, and then it's just a really awkward apology and then they're gone.
