  1. >it's Friday
  2. >you're in Our Town
  3. >specifically you're in it's club
  4. >the champagne there is a bit sweet, but so are most beverages in Equestria
  5. >a lavender pegasus comes up to you
  6. >"Hi there!"
  7. >for such a pretty mare she had a pretty deep voice
  8. "Hey. How's it going?"
  9. >"Pretty good. You having fun?"
  10. "The most you can have by yourself."
  11. >"That's too bad!"
  12. "I'm getting by."
  13. >"You wanna hang out with me and my friends? Maybe we can dance a bit?"
  14. >she pointed her hoof to a green unicorn and a red earth pony at a table in the back
  15. >you only came here for a drink, but it was the weekend
  16. "Why not?"
  17. >she seemed happy with that response
  18. >when you got to the table, you soon realized the other two had deep voices as well
  19. >maybe it was some kind of accent?
  20. >the other two said "Hey there!"
  21. >"This poor guy was all by himself."
  22. >the red one said "Don't worry, we can fix that."
  23. >you are a bit awkward so you don't say much
  24. >"So where are you from?"
  25. "Ponyville. I'm up here to get a shipment of quills. I'm not heading back until Monday, though."
  26. >the lavender one touches you with her wing, it's very soft
  27. >"If you need anymore I got some right here."
  28. >you chuckled
  29. "What's your name by the way?"
  30. >"Lola."
  31. >you've never heard of a pony with a name like Lola before
  32. >it fits her though
  33. >the unicorn said her name was Sweet Pea and the earth pony said she was Spread
  34. >Spread said her name in a sultry way
  35. >you're not sure that's her real name
  36. >Sweet Pea says "You seem shy. You don't talk with girls much do you?"
  37. >she said this sincerely
  38. "Yeah."
  39. >Spread asks "Have you ever kissed a mare?"
  40. >you try to think of a smooth way to say no to that question
  41. >they smile as you stumble over your words
  42. >"It's alright, babe. Some take longer to get out of their shells."
  43. >you were blushing, especially since Lola called you babe
  44. >it is starting to get late and the place was even more packed than before
  45. >the disk jockey started playing more dance-worthy music for the crowd
  46. >it seems the trio is done interrogating you
  47. >Lola drags you into the crowd
  48. >her hoof is like a vice on your arm
  49. >you dance for what seems like hours
  50. >you don't mind though
  51. >you aren't exactly a lovey-dovey kind of guy, but looking into her eyes makes you feel exhilarated
  52. >plus you're buzzed from drinking
  53. >the lights turn on
  54. >it's 12 am and Saturday now
  55. >you're standing outside with Lola
  56. >"It's been really fun."
  57. >she hugs you
  58. >more like chokes you by the stomach
  59. >she looks beautiful
  60. >"Hey, do you want to come to our apartment? You know, hang out a bit?"
  61. "Absolutely!"
  62. >The trio and you talk about the music and the crazy ponies in the club the whole way there
  63. >you're already sobering up
  64. >in the light of the lampposts you start noticing somethings about them
  65. >their faces are somewhat more angular than the average mare
  66. >they're kind of tall, too
  67. >you're having too much fun to say anything on it, though
  68. >the apartment is small for the three of them
  69. >Sweet Pea and Spread leave to go to bed
  70. >Spread says "Don't make too much noise, you two." with a wink
  71. >"Go to bed, Spread."
  72. >it's just Lola and you now
  73. >you decide to learn more about Lola
  74. "So what do you do for a living?"
  75. >"Nothing special, I just work on the weather team here."
  76. "Sounds comfy."
  77. >"Yeah."
  78. "I heard Starlight Glimmer kept you all here captive."
  79. >"Oh, that was before I moved here."
  80. "So where are you originally from?"
  81. >"Vanhoover."
  82. "They make a lot of films over there don't they?"
  83. >"Yeah."
  84. "Why did you move all the way over here?"
  85. >"Eh... it's a long story."
  86. >she seems uncomfortable
  87. "Oh..."
  88. >"Do you want a drink?"
  89. "Sure."
  90. >she walks to the kitchen
  91. >you notice she messes with her tail a lot
  92. >you can't think why
  93. >she gives you a cola
  94. >she sits on the sofa with you
  95. "So what do you want to do now?"
  96. >"Oh, I don't know, what do you want to do?"
  97. >you build some courage and scoot closer to her
  98. "Well, you remember how we were talking in the club."
  99. >"Yes I do, Mr. Kissless."
  100. "Heh, about that."
  101. >"Oh, you want to become Mr. Kissed?"
  102. "If that's how you want to put it."
  103. >"That's alright, I'll be your Mrs. Kissed."
  104. >her lips are soft and warm
  105. >you both hold each other
  106. >this is perfect, even if that joke she made was corny
  107. >but you start to feel something poking you in the stomach
  108. >you think it's just her leg
  109. >but when the kiss ends, first you look at her blushing face
  110. >and then you look down
  111. >you've heard of things happening like this before
  112. >but you never thought in the world it would happen to you
  113. "Lola...?"
  114. >"Yes?"
  115. "Am I just seeing things or do you have a dick?"
  116. >"Oh God."
  117. >she, or he, gets up and is beyond distraught
  118. >"I-I'm sorry... I'm so sorry."
  119. >you don't know what to say
  120. "...why didn't you tell me?"
  121. >"I-I..."
  122. "When were you going to tell me?"
  123. >she/he starts to cry
  124. >you really have no idea what to do
  125. >you feel bad that Lola, if that is her/his name, is crying
  126. >but she/he tricked you
  127. >he tricked you
  128. "I think I should leave."
  129. >"No!"
  130. >you walk to the door
  131. >"Please..."
  132. >you see the other two are looking from their bedroom
  133. >you remember how deep their voices are, their strength, their angled faces, how tall they are, the way they messed with their tails
  134. >they were clearly stallions and you were too gullible to see
  135. >you leave
  136. >Celestia raises the sun
  137. >this whole experience has you all confused
  138. >you did have fun last night
  139. >Lola was wonderful
  140. >but how could she lie to you?
  141. >he lie to you
  142. >they all lied to you
  143. >he even kissed you
  144. >despite all of that, you really wish things didn't turn out this way
  145. >you wish you didn't make him cry
  146. >you wish you didn't have to think of Lola as a he
  147. >you decide to get breakfast
  148. >there's a bakery here
  149. >you get an apple fritter and coffee
  150. >you over hear two ponies talking about Princess Twilight Sparkle
  151. >she's in Our Town
  152. >you haven't talked to her much, even though you live in Ponyville
  153. >she's a busy pony
  154. >you wonder if she can help you with your predicament
  155. >she's no Princess of Love, but Princess of Friendship isn't too far off
  156. >she could be the Princess of Acquaintanceship for all you care, you just need some guidance
  157. >the town itself is just a street so you decide to just stand in the middle of it to wait for her
  158. >you don't see her
  159. >you wonder how Lola's doing
  160. >probably awful
  161. >did Lola deserve this?
  162. >was lying about his sex all that bad?
  163. >you can't shake the feeling of being slightly violated, though
  164. >where is that Alicorn?
  165. >you've been waiting for what seems like hours now
  166. >is she even really here?
  167. >then you see Rarity
  168. >what is she doing here?
  169. >and then you see Twilight behind her
  170. >oh, they must be on one of those missions you hear about
  171. >Rarity says: "Twilight, don't worry. We always find why the maps sends us."
  172. >Twilight says: "We've been looking all morning Rarity!"
  173. >Rarity says: "Oh, it's always the same with you."
  174. >Twilight says: "I just don't want a poor pony suffering because I couldn't find them!"
  175. "Excuse me."
  176. >Twilight says: "Give me one second. And another thing, every second we waste trying to find them, the worse it can get for them. This is really important Rarity!"
  177. "I was just wondering if you could help me."
  178. >Twilight looks embarrassed
  179. >Rarity has a "I told you so" face
  180. >Twilight says: "O-of course. Wait, I know you, don't you live in Ponyville?"
  181. "I do, but my job took me up here."
  182. >Twilight says: "I see. What's the problem?"
  183. "It's... complicated."
  184. >you proceed to tell them your problem
  185. >they have looks of bewilderment on their faces
  186. >Rarity says: "Well... Dear, that is a tough one. Uh... Twilight do you have anything to say?"
  187. >Twilight says: "Oh, uh..."
  188. "I don't know what to do, I don't want Lola to be upset, but he fooled me."
  189. >Twilight says: "First, I have to understand, are you angry at her, eh, him?"
  190. "No, I'm more... I don't know, confused? I suppose I am somewhat mad at him."
  191. >Twilight says: "Well he's clearly in the wrong here. Why do you think he did this?"
  192. "I don't know. If he just wanted someone to love, why wouldn't he tell them first? But it didn't seem like a prank."
  193. >Rarity says: "I think it would be best if you talked with him."
  194. "I'm not sure he would want to talk right now."
  195. >Rarity says: "If anything, you should be the one who doesn't want to talk right now."
  196. "I'm just not sure."
  197. >Rarity says: "It wouldn't hurt to try."
  198. "What should I say?"
  199. >Rarity says: "Oh you know, you don't like he did this and the such."
  200. "Okay."
  201. >Twilight says: "Would you like us to talk with him as well?"
  202. "Not to sound mean Princess, but I don't think that would help."
  203. >Twilight says: "Sorry, we're usually more actively involved in these things."
  204. "Well, I suppose I ought to go now."
  205. >Twilight says: "If you need our help, we'll be here."
  206. "Alright."
  207. >a feeling of dread washes over you the closer you get to their apartment
  208. >what if they flat out refuse to talk?
  209. >what do you do then?
  210. >you're at their place now
  211. >you're scared to find what will happen if you knock on that door
  212. >you walk slowly to the door
  213. >you're not sure if you can do this
  214. >the door opens
  215. >it's Spread
  216. >she's not looking at you though
  217. >Spread says: "Is there anything else you want me to get at the grocers?"
  218. >A mumbled voice from within says: "No."
  219. >Spread turns to walk out and sees you
  220. >Spread says: "Oh, it's you."
  221. "Hello."
  222. >Spread says: "You haven't called the police on Lola, have you?"
  223. "What? No."
  224. >you think about it, should you have?
  225. "I just want to talk to him."
  226. >Spread frowns at you calling Lola him
  227. >Spread says: "SHE's busy."
  228. "I don't want this to become worse than it already is."
  229. >Spread says: "She's already gone through a lot, leave her alone."
  230. "And I haven't?"
  231. >Spread says: "You wouldn't understand."
  232. >she shuts the door behind her and walks away
  233. >well, now what?
  234. >you only have today and tomorrow to fix this before you have to go back with the shipment
  235. >and who knows when you'll have the chance to come back?
  236. >and if you do, the resentment will only have grown in Lola
  237. >you need to do something
  238. >you remember what Twilight said: "Would you like us to talk with him as well?"
  239. >it seems like a stupid idea, but Spread nor Sweet Pea will probably let you talk to Lola
  240. >so you walk back to Twilight and Rarity
  241. >they're in the bakery
  242. >Rarity says: "How did it go?"
  243. "Not good."
  244. >Rarity says: "Oh."
  245. "Spread wouldn't let me talk to him, and I have a feeling Sweet Pea won't either."
  246. >Twilight says: "So what's the new plan?"
  247. "I think you should talk to him, Twilight."
  248. >Twilight says: "I thought you said that wouldn't help."
  249. "I have no other option."
  250. >Twilight says: "Well, what do you want me to say?"
  251. "I just want you to convince him to let me have a talk with him, and that I'm not angry at him."
  252. >Twilight says: "Alright."
  253. >Rarity says: "I think I should come as well."
  254. >Twilight says: "Why?"
  255. >Rarity says: "How do I put this politely. You aren't exactly the best with romantic relationships Twilight."
  256. >Twilight says: "Hey!"
  257. >Rarity says: "And the map sent me with you for a reason."
  258. >Twilight gives her a stern look, and then sighs
  259. >Twilight says: "Okay."
  260. >You walk out of the bakery with them
  261. >you point at Lola's door
  262. "That's their place."
  263. >Twilight says: "We'll be back soon."
  264. >you see them knock on the door
  265. >Sweet Pea greets the door and bows to Twilight
  266. >they close the door behind them
  267. >you just have to sit here for who knows how long
  268. >you start mulling over about what happens after this
  269. >what would you say if she does talk with you?
  270. >what would happen if she doesn't?
  271. >would you gradually forget about this?
  272. >is this much stress even worth it?
  273. >if you do make things up with Lola, what happens next?
  274. >you just start staring at the door, waiting to see what happens
  275. >when it finally does open it startles you
  276. >you see Twilight walk out
  277. >then Rarity
  278. >and finally a sad looking Lola
  279. >"Hello."
  280. "Hi Lola."
  281. >"I'm sorry, I never meant for things to happen like they did. I was going to tell you but everything was just going so fast."
  282. "But you could have told me as soon as we met."
  283. >"I-I...
  284. >he starts tearing up
  285. >"I'm just so tired of being alone. No one wants a stallion who feels like he's a mare."
  286. >you all just stand there, in silence, except for Lola's crying
  287. >"Spread, Sweet Pea, and I left Vanhoover because we thought we could have a new start, where no one knows who we really are. I fucked that up big time."
  288. "Lola, it's okay."
  289. >"No it isn't! I've hurt everyone near me."
  290. "You just made a mistake, I see that now, and everyone here is willing to forgive you."
  291. >"Really?"
  292. "Yes. Just promise me you'll never lie to people like that again."
  293. >"I-I promise."
  294. >you hug him
  295. >"Thank you."
  296. "It's alright."
  297. >you let go
  298. >"There's still one more problem."
  299. "What?"
  300. >"Who's going to date a pony like me? I can't change that I feel like a mare, believe me I've tried."
  301. "Despite what you did Lola, you're still an amazing pony, I had a lot of fun last night, more fun than I've had in a long time, and I'm sure somepony will be able to look past all of the other things."
  302. >"That means a lot. Thank you."
  303. "And you may not be a real mare, but I'd be willing to call you my mare."
  304. >he blushes
  305. >she blushes
  306. >"Are you saying...
  307. >you kiss her
  308.
  309. That's it that is the end.
  310.
  311. BONUS
  312.
  313. >be smol colt
  314. >See this
  315. >What the fuck is happening? Are they going to hurt him?
  316. >And why are these three fillies so happy and excited about this?!
  317. >Dad was right, bucking mares are all the same!
  318. >Go play soccer with the other colts for a couple hours
  319.
  320. >Come back to the main street and see the three fillies from earlier glued to the window of the Renault sisters' home
  321. >They're swinging their rumps left and right, their tails flicking about as if to chase invisible bugs
  322. >You can even see their bits--
  323. >No, you shouldn't
  324. >Then they all turn 180, panting and a blush on their face
  325. >And their eyes find you
  326. >You gulp, fearing that they caught you looking at their flanks
  327. >They give each other knowing looks, throwing a peek at you from time to time
  328. >And you guess it's your cue to gtfo
  329. >But them calling you out makes you freeze mid-step
  330. >"Hi!"
  331. >"What's your name?"
  332. >"Wanna play a game?"
  333. "I-I don't know if--"
  334. >The pegasus jumps to your side, her small wing flaring out and wrapping itself around your barrel, tugging you close and pressing you into her soft coat
  335. >"Come on, we need to try this, this is going to be so much fun!"
  336. >"Ah'm on top!"
  337. >"And I want to kiss him first!"
