  11. It comes down to what I call "colour blindness". This is an important concept (probably THE most important) and it is something I have only had an opportunity to mention from time to time.

  15. A "colour blind" person is simply unable to discern between real and pretend.

  19. That's all it is. The person watching (the "audience member") believes they are watching something REAL (no tricks).

  23. It may well be that the person is not in zero gravity at those moments we "feel/perceive" it but in keeping with the rule "the lie system does not make mistakes" it will be impossible to prove it.

  27. It will ONLY be in situations where it cannot possibly lead to a movie-making error.

  31. But again - because *as you yourself say* - the lie system is made up of PEOPLE and people can make mistakes - I just don't think they would take the risk.

  35. Every time we see an "astronaut" it will always be in "zero gravity". The fact that sometimes it FEELS or SEEMS that they are not in zero gravity - I am going to suggest that is intentional. It is to make us explore the idea that "he's just standing up on Earth bobbing up and down".

  39. I know that when I watch "Tim Peake" quite often it SEEMS that way. He is a new "astronaut" - so maybe his role is to get us accustomed to that "Earth-like" bobbing.

  43. But given what I've learned over the past year - I would think of it as a TRAP - it is "bait". I agree that it does seem that way. I have been unable to shake it from my mind ever since I saw "Tim Peake" do that somersault - where it seemed as though the footage got cut.

  47. Also - sometimes "Scott Kelly" seems as though he is "bobbing" under normal gravity.

  51. But again - all it would take is a single movie-making mistake and it is game over in a FIRM way.

  55. I do not believe that the lie system WANTS to get caught. So I am inclined to think that it is more a case of our mind trying to get an "easy win".

  59. We already have a win! There doesn't exist 3 minutes of somersaults. And if people think that somersaults requires more room then nothing stops them from spinning on the spot. That requires no more room than the space they occupy while standing.

  63. None of that footage exists - not properly - not three minutes of it.

  67. We have our win. To suggest that they are bobbing with gravity is to weaken our position.

  71. At all costs the lie system will want us to chase down dead-ends. If one of us were to believe green-screen is used then the lie system can relax - because we would be WRONG.

  75. Just as with "Peekay" and the "scrolling glitch". It doesn't matter that I pointed out the jumping view count - people will focus on the detail that was wrong (even though it didn't matter!).

  79. And so we cannot suggest that it is the case. We can certainly suggest that it LOOKS like it - but we must follow that up with "but I have no idea how we would verify and confirm it".

  83. My understanding is that the lie system does not make [fatal] mistakes. To bob with anything other than zero-gravity is to RISK a mistake. It is to TEMPT a mistake. It is to INVITE a mistake.

  87. And human error says that if you do something often enough - eventually you'll f_kc it up.

  91. And so there is no way it would be risked.

  95. Anyway! To a "colour blind" person it always looks convincingly real. It can never look fake.

  99. If "Jeff C" is a "genuine person" and "honestly believes the ISS is real and manned" - then he wouldn't notice all of the panning and he wouldn't notice the additional cut near the end of the video etc. It would all look real to him.

  103. But yes - at times - it sure does look as though they are bobbing with gravity. And they COULD be! But I don't really think that they are! (Based on my understanding of the lie system!)
