  11. Reposting from last thread then continuing.
  12.
  13. >The bar was dim, and like the rest of the hotel gothic, with a more homey vibe to it that even the lobby lacked.
  14. >And true to what the "CLOSED" sign read, it was indeed CLOSED
  15. >Chairs sat neatly on the tables upside down
  16. >Barely any lights were on, some showing what was on the menu
  17. >Despite all the signs, a single figure slept soundly at the bar
  18. >You thought that this may have been Husk, the bartender Angel spoke of.
  19. >If you were careful enough, perhaps you could avoid waking him up and find somewhere to hide
  20. >But just then, the door began to shake and rattle
  21. >"Anon, open the door NOW"
  22. >Charlie sounded pissed, and for a good reason.
  23. >You backed away from the door until you bumped into a groggy cat-demon-thing now half awake.
  24. >"Geezus, Angel for Christ sakes if you don't get-wait you ain't Angel, good. Now get out, we're closed."
  25. >More banging sounded from the other side of the door
  26. "I can't do that, I'm not even thirsty, I gotta hide man."
  27. >"Hide?"
  28. >"ANON, I'M LOSING MY PATIENCE HERE!!"
  29. >Husk's eyes went slightly wider
  30. >"Oh I see, looks like you reeeaaalllly fucked up here kid, sad part is I don't think I can help ya, Charlie here knows this place like the back of her hand."
  31. >You began to feel the hope drain from you, as if Charlie herself stole it from you.
  32. >".....well, almost"
  33. "What?"
  34. >"Yeah.........ya see the door back there, it's a closet, not just any ol closet, a special one. Now hop in."
  35. >So you went to the closet behind the bar and hid, peeking out through the lock hole while Husk laid back down.
  36. >Moments later, the bar entrance door was knocked right off its hinges, and in stomped Charlie
  37. >"HUSK, HUSK WAKE UP"
  38. >She shook him awake, which he did, but not in a hurry
  39. >"Where is he Husk? Where's Anon?"
  40. >"Who?"
  41. >"THE HUMAN, where the fuck is he hiding?"
  42. >"Aye........dontknowwhereheis"
  43. >You knew you couldn't hide there forever, even with the door being hidden in the shadows, she was bound to see it sooner or later.
  44. -
  45. >"He just came in here, how could you miss him?"
  46. >"I was sleeping Charlie, sheesh. I just got back from vacation and frankly I thought takin a nap wasn't going to hurt anyone, and next thing I know you're sayin a human is on the loose here?"
  47. >Digging, more digging, more searching
  48. >A broom was knocked over and hit the ground, making a small noise
  49. >Charlie instantly froze and listened in
  50. >"Uhhhhh, boss?"
  51. >Charlie's face went from corner to corner for 5 seconds before stopping right at you
  52. >Slowly, ever so slowly, she began making her way to the door looking smug
  53. >Husk mouthed cusses to himself
  54. >You kept fumbling around the closet looking for anything that could help you.
  55. >A weapon
  56. >A tool
  57. >A passage
  58. >Anything?
  59. -
  60. >Charlie was was getting closer and closer every step she took.
  61. >A maniacal grin grew on her mouth
  62. >"Found you"
  63. >You're arm accidentally hit something, be it a switch, button, lever, you had no clue.
  64. >But 1 second later, the floor opened up beneath you and you plummeted into darkness
  65. >The floor above you closed again just as Charlie opened the door.
  66. >You landed flat on your ass on concrete.
  67. >You almost screamed a line of swear words before remembering your situation and not your lip.
  68.
  69. >Continuing
  70. -
  71. >You didn't need to be a genius to guess where you were now
  72. >The dreaded basement of the hotel
  73. >Somewhere down here all those years ago, a psycho had ended numerous lives down here, which was creepy enough without the occult motive
  74. >You felt something metallic and long brush against your hand
  75. >Picking it up and squinting in the darkness, you soon realized it was a flashlight
  76. >But not just some random flashlight, this was the same flashlight James had packed with him.
  77. >The same one you saw tucked into his bag when he went off to find Peter
  78. >You had a bad feeling about this
  79. >But luckily the flashlight still had batteries in it and flicked on without any trouble.
  80. >And so, you began to navigate the dark, dusty hallways that made up the basement.
  81. -
  82. >The basement seemed like a labyrinth with how big it was
  83. >And what really creeped you out was how quiet and empty it was
  84. >You hand spotted a single cobweb, rat turd, snake skin, or even the slightest bit of evidence that life existed down here
  85. >All you had was the abyssal darkness, concrete, the cold air, and the ever present feeling of evil.
  86. >That was best way you could describe it, just pure evil that followed you around ever turn, watched you around every corner, ready to leap out and strike at a moment's notice.
  87. >By now you assumed that Charlie and the others knew where you were and were also trying to make their way through the shadowy corridors down there.
  88. >Suddenly up ahead, a light flicked on, followed by the buzz and hum of a industrial lightbulb.
  89. >The light showed a single chair, in it a figure was sitting slumped over.
  90. >The figure made not even the slightest movements as you approached.
  91. -
  92. >Once you were close enough, you shunned your light onto it's face and Alonso dropped your light
  93. >Sitting there with a spear shaped hole in his forehead was James
  94. >He looked like he'd been dead for a couple days
  95. >Despite that, it didn't look like any vermin or insects had laid waste to it.
  96. >You figured that Vaggie got him in the woods and dragged the body here for whatever reason, and when she did the flashlight fell off and rolled over to where you fell.
  97. >Atleast it was quick and painless
  98. >You wanted to take the body with you, but knew it was too risky and that James would just be deadweight (badum-tsh)
  99. >And so you went back to walking, giving one last glance towards James before going forward
  100. -
  101. >A few more minutes went by without anything exciting or scary
  102. >Just you and the basement
  103. >Then however, as you exited a hallway and went into a room, lights flickered on again
  104. >That feeling of dread was at its peak now, every nerve in your body urges you to run away
  105. >Even though nothing seems to be wrong, just an empty room.
  106. >Except for what was in front of you
  107. >Unlike the rest of the walls, this one had the faint outline of a door, as if there HAD been a door there once, but was sealed off.
  108. >Cautiously you approached it, and extended a finger to touch it.
  109. >The moment your pointer finger did, the lights flickered off.
  110. >And when they flashed back on, the doorway was now opened, and there was blood splattered on the concrete
  111. >A big bloody trail lead deeper into the doorway, which looked like it went down deeper into the basement
  112. >A loud scream echoed from within, it sounded like a woman.
  113. >Then, another scram joined her, a male's voice
  114. >Then another female
  115. >Another male
  116. >Another female
  117. >By now there was a choir of 40 souls of the damned screaming back at you, with the sounds of stabbing and slashing and hacking.
  118. >You covered your ears and shut your eyes, the smell of blood soon overwhelming your nose.
  119. >Then it all stopped, the screams, the blood, and the smell
  120. >But then it changed to a even darker room
  121. >Placed in the middle of the room was a forgery pentagram with a vortex inside of it
  122. >The room felt hot, too hot
  123. >Whispers made their way up from the portal to you, beckoning you to climb down into the portal and join them
  124. >The whispers grew louder and louder and became a chant, which you believe may have been Latin
  125. >In front of you, a hand gripped the end he and began pulling the rest of it's body out of the portal.
  126. >The figure looked like a man in his early thirties, a little older than you
  127. >A bloody knife materialized into his other hand, and his firefly eyes burned your soul.
  128. >A ringing now filled your ears as he came closer to you.
  129.
  130. >continuing
