My server is doing a redirect from http to https and its causing my site to load slow. I purchased and SSL through MT and since then it loads in like 11 seconds.

A redirect to https when using SSL is a good idea, but certainly isn’t mandatory.
That being said, I’m seeing the site loading quickly.
Let me test a few things.

I’m seeing the site loading in 5.7 seconds via https, which could definitely be improved but isn’t indicative of a problem with the service on our end. You can read that report here:

I’d suggest reviewing the recommendations on that page to help speed up the site load time.

Frankly I don’t understand the question. Having your domain and the ‘www’ subdomain resolve the same place is how pretty much every site functions.

Yes a site using either http or https is fine, though redirecting the site to https isn’t a bad idea, it’s a great idea actually.
I’m not seeing a problem with the site right now Kelly, if you have SEO questions I’d suggest speaking with an SEO expert.

Yes, and that’s something that would have been configured on the site itself, either via the WP home and site URL, or a plugin or .htaccess redirect.
You have full access to the hosting service to configure that.
That being said, there is absolutely nothing wrong, SEO wise, with having a redirect to https.

Google themselves redirect all of their own pages to https. It’s quite normal.
