  1. Title: New moderator, title tags, and more!
  2.
  3.
  4. Hello wonderful people! It's been somewhat of a long time coming, but we have finally managed to roll out some updates for the subreddit!
  5.
  6. First up, we are excited to welcome /u/DarthMewtwo to the team, who will, along with myself, be focusing on spoiler eradication. For the past few weeks we have received much feedback regarding spoilers, so we are dedicating two moderators specifically to prevent spoilers.
  7.
  8. In addition, we will be implementing a number of methods to further prevent spoilers and enhance your /r/SwordArtOnline experience.
  9.
  10. * **About title tags!**
  11.
  12. After observation of submissions for the past few weeks, we have decided to add more tags, namely: [News], [Video], and [Translation]. Hopefully this will not restrict your submissions so much. Also, a reminder that you may add **multiple tags** to your titles, but please, **no more than three!** That should be well enough to describe a post!
  13.
  14. * **AutoModerator/Cardinal Improvements**
  15.
  16. AutoMod has been a little over-enthusiastic about removing posts lately, so we fixed him up a little and he's now /u/Cardinal. Now, he is smarter at recognizing title tags, but you should still format them correctly like the sidebar says. Also, he won't be removing posts if he feels like it anymore (unless your title tag is incorrect). That's *our* job.
  17.
  18. * **Wiki!**
  19.
  20. I have been writing a wiki for the past few weeks and am proud to open it to the public! You can find it in the tabs above, or through [this link.](https://www.reddit.com/r/swordartonline/wiki/) It's not exhaustive nor is it finished, but wikis constantly evolve and we will continually add more content. From now on, **before you submit a question, please read the FAQ and Wiki.** This will help avoid endless question posts.
  21.
  22. ***
  23.
  24. Also, some **reminders**:
  25.
  26. * **Spoiler tags need to be specific.**
  27.
  28. For **spoiler tags in post titles**, don't just put [Spoiler], as AutoMod now knows to look for the word instead of just the specific tag [Spoiler]. Please enclose the **specific part of the series (light novel or anime season and episode) that you are spoiling**: e.g. "[LN Volume 9 Spoiler]", or "[Anime S2E3 Spoiler]".
  29.
  30. For **spoiler tags in text and comments**, please follow the same convention as above. Tag your spoilers with the **specific light novel volume or anime season and episode.**
  31.
  32. We'll give the above a brief period for you guys to adapt. After that, all spoilers not following the above rules **will be removed on sight.**
  33.
  34. * **Report, report, report!**
  35.
  36. I cannot stress this enough: If there is anything that violates the rules, **PLEASE REPORT IT!** We are your moderation team and here to help. We will try to deal with reported content quickly and effectively.
  37.
  38.
  39. * **Regarding spam.**
  40.
  41. There's been an increase in spamming activity on the subreddit, and we'd like to remind those spammers and you guys to read the **submission guidelines** on the sidebar. **Spam will not be tolerated and will likely result in a ban.**
  42.
  43. * **Reach out to us!**
  44.
  45. Under the sidebar, in the "Moderators" box, there a [link to message the moderators.](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2Fswordartonline). If there's anything that you can't answer with the Rules, Wiki, or just have some suggestions that you think would be helpful for the subreddit, please message us!
