  1. Name: St. Magamisburg
  2. Wizard: Grand Poohbah
  3.
  4. >Portals
  5. The realm can be accessed through portals, which mostly spawn at random. The realm itself floats over a sea of voidiness.
  6.
  7. >Protection
  8. The remoteness of the realm and small size of the portals keeps it mostly safe from external threats- however, a cunning commander would most likely be able to find a way to dismantle it from the inside.
  9.
  10. >Attitude Adjustment:
  11. People here tend to overreact to things others may see as mundane, such as spilled milk, but under-react to other situations, like buildings spontaneously bursting into fire. While the people are more likely to suffer from mental illnesses, they're also more likely to be able to adapt to them. Modesty is looked upon as attractive, so most people tend to wear flattering clothes- or at the very least, formal clothes. Those who don't tend to shy away from makeup or nail polish, besides blush. The current fashion is loose ties on white shirts, or 80s-ish space suits.
  12.
  13. >Culture and Customs:
  14. The plane seems to be caught in the oddest mishmash of Earthly cultures. It has a sense of weeaboo-ish Japanese culture, but abandons many customs in favor of a mishmash of elements of US culture from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. It looks the way Japanese people might picture America, an American community in Nippon, a Japanese community in Murrica, a series set in Japan that was heavily localized for American audiences, or some permutation of those. Takoyaki Burgers are the new big thing, baseball and kendo clubs are often in fights, etc.
  15.
  16. Yes, it's unoriginal, and I'm supposed to make my own original world, but weeaboo dess. I'd probably end up making space Romans if I didn't do this.
  17.
  18. The government is technically an elective monarchy, but people don't tend to care much for politics, focusing more on their own exploits. Most officials elected are young women- they . Government presence is low; this means crime is something of an issue. The main forces dealing with them are bounty hunters, private protection organizations, lone heroes, lesbians with guns, and bumbling policemen with an affinity for screaming and shaking a fist at the sky.
  19.
  20. >Population Demographics:
  21. A disproportionately large amount of teenagers and young adults, with large numbers of kids and adults over 70. People between 30 and 70 are less common. In terms of ethnicity, there's a very bizarre mishmash of genes, some groups forming communities of their own. Skin colour mostly ranges from pale-ish to brown, with sizable groups of black, green, and blue-skinned people. People are slightly more likely to have glasses. Women have, on average, smaller breasts than on Earth.
  22.
  23. >Metahuman Population:
  24. It's not out of the ordinary to see robots, tentacle monsters, floating people or talking cats walking down the street. People are often born with biologically impossible hair colours. Robots are officially citizens. Normal people co-exist with fantastic people, though there are tensions. The most common non-human race is Mostly Human Aliens. Others can be fluffy animal thingies, mutated humans, or assorted monstergrills.
  25.
  26. >Technology Upgrade:
  27. There are a slew of great inventors, and people can pull gadgets out of their pockets at any time. This *does* make them rather lazy, mind you- there isn't much change in infrastructure, and most tech or magic is just used to annoy other people or fix minor problems. Most people still use rotary telephones, DOS, and listen to cassettes or CDs, while living in normal houses; they just happen to have robots that can help them with a few chores if they pay them enough.
  28.
  29. >Mystical
  30. There are a good number of mad geniuses amongst the population- not that they comprise all of it. There are also magical guilds; they're entirely un-secret, put on magic shows, act as magical idols, and perform random acts of kindness. Some people prefer to keep their powers a hidden, while others may use water magic for doing the lawn. While most magic works the same, and is limited to minor manipulation of the environment with no godlike powers, there are multiple schools with different philosophies as to their use; they fight a lot.
  31.
  32. >Hobby Affinity
  33. Some people here treat giant robots the way people here would treat cars. They're a symbol of status, and people constantly debate over which make is the best. Some spend hours tinkering with them to look like giant robots from movies. Also- people love fishing.
  34.
  35. >Religious Affinity
  36. Idol worship is the most popular religion; some twisted versions of Earth religions are gaining prominence. By far, the most influential religions are based off the supposed creation of the realm, where a princess cleansed the land of beasts before falling to her death. Cinderellists believe the woman called upon the help of mice and fae folk, and will be reborn as a member of a lower class to guide the land to prosperity. Snowers believe she had dwarves assist her, and that the princess will be brought back to life in the flesh through the kiss of a prince. Dormants believe she was helped by assorted woodland creatures, and that she merely faked her death, falling into a deep sleep; they say she watches over the realm, guiding it subtly. The Church of Mermaid are regarded as a looney cult- how the heck could the woman come from underseas?
  37.
  38. >All Affinities
  39. Not everyone has each of these affinities- but almost every inhabitant is guaranteed to have at least one. While not becoming the center of their character, they all have a mild obsession with something-or-another, and tend to get very defensive if someone criticizes them- and even angrier if someone sharing their affinity disagrees with them. There have been minor civil wars started over food and bad fanfictions. As a result, restaurants, libraries, sports centers, music halls, theaters, etc. tend to be rather huge- sometimes almost cities of their own. Also, a good number of things long gone- such as disco, theater where people are actually killed, and text adventure games- are still all the rage, and are in constant production alongside other works of art. Of note is that many people here are absolutely obsessed with Earth culture, but don't seem to understand it completely- they take snippets from different things they see through transmissions, and try to emulate them. A lot of the residents are former Earthlings, in fact.
  40.
  41. >Landscape
  42. The entire foundation of the land is artificial, built around a single space station with oxygen.
  43.
  44. *BEGIN CREEPY FETISH*
  45.
  46. The realm is actually being used as a suit of armor by a titanic woman, who floats around through space. The shape of her body makes up a lot of the terrain. Most people don't know this; those who discover the secret find her a pretty nice conversationalist, if a little self-deprecatory, scatterbrained, and nervous. Most natural disasters are caused by her fidgeting, so she's learned to remain very, VERY still when moving through the endless void.
  47.
  48. *END CREEPY FETISH*
  49.
  50. Grass and plants can grow on this station as normal. Some areas appear like suburbs, while others appear as a cityscape, or even gigantic, steamy rooms full of maintenance buttons. It often gives off the impression of being a single, continuous city, branching out into gigantic residential areas, industrial areas, public parks and commercial areas, more than being multiple cities- the limits between regions are often murky.
  51.
  52. The sun is non-existent. Some rich areas can afford artificial suns, but others rely on lights to do daily work. Mainly neon. The landscape can become rather surreal, twisting in spirals and shapes and in colours not common on Earth- but people live anywhere.
  53.
  54. Kaiju roam around sometimes. They have varying degrees of humanity and sympathy. People mostly see them as a minor annoyance, and complain to the city council when delays have to be made because of them.
  55.
  56. >Spirits:
  57. Mix of dead people and demigods making subtle shifts on the world. Can be contacted through mediums for a price. Some dead people from other realms may float into here for a visit, but they may find themselves unable to do much.
  58.
  59. >Malice:
  60. Secret cults of dark magicians and mad scientists are just as common as everyday jerks and bullies. Particularly notable are a bunch of idealistic magical girls who are trying to purify the world, evil student councils, rogue mechs, and the Card Game Mafia.
  61.
  62. >Theme:
  63. Action-comedy. Lots of slapstick fights over absolutely nothing. Punching, sawing, all that stuff.
  64.
  65. >Immortality:
  66. People seem to come back to life just as quickly as they die, albeit with wounds remaining. For instance, if killed by flames, they may come back to life with a bad sunburn for a few hours. It ends up like a Looney Tunes cartoon, almost. Almost no fight has fatalities. ALMOST.
  67.
  68. >Shapeshifting
  69. Wizard wishes to be the little girl. Or the girl carrying the station, but that might be a bit *TOO* much responsibility, and would probably require more things to put in.
  70.
  71. >Dominion
  72. In case wizard get bored and want to change the theme to a musical or something.
  73.
  74. So, nothing much for powers. Just a humble, lazy rich-ish guy with some pals, who can shapeshift into a little girl, is sorta-kinda-not-totally-hated, and who has a deathwish upon that stupid next-door neighbor.
