  1. [23:54] <@Afiqah> 03[It's been a few days since you completed the second core for Qui, and you figure it's a good time to check with them how it's going. If theres anything wrong, ect. So, you grab a few things you wanted to take out to your lab in the Veil and start the journey out. Doesn't take you more than a few minutes before you're back in to the calm (but really rather messy) asteroid where the majority of your experimenting is done. "Qui? Are you around?" Thats the other nice thing about them, you can actually talk with them in your native tongue.]
  2. [23:56] * Bobbin ([email protected]) has joined #Core
  3. [23:58] <Qui> 7[You don't really have the ability to sleep, you do go through periods of rest though and after finding out more about sleeping you've realized that would take too much processing space while also leave you fragile to not waking up automatically when someone comes]
  4. [00:00] * Sesh ([email protected]) Quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
  5. [00:00] <Qui> 7[Such as Afiqah, you boot back up after doing a quick recheck of everything, remind yourself about the extra core now]
  6. [00:00] <Qui> 7[Hi you, you have big plans for yourself now "I am over here" also the decoration of this place]
  7. [00:01] <Qui> 7[You may be using your grabby tools to try to make the place look more...interesting]
  8. [00:02] <Qui> 7[Such as one of those lighting balls that you can touch you decided those were very important]
  9. [00:04] <@Afiqah> 03[You hear them call, and start walking towards them, dropping the few cards you brought with at the central part of the lab near all the teleport pads. You peer in to a few rooms in the wing you've given them before finding the right room. "Hey Qui." You smile. "How are you doing today?" You make a specific effort to note their appearance, as you've tended to do the past few weeks, wondering if they're getting close to figuring out what they want to look like.]
  10. [00:09] <Qui> 7["Ah! It's been so much fun oh there's also a few things I need to put down" your image blurs for a second, your image seeming to split and phase wildly for a few seconds "Sorry I needed to load some important data but we'v-I've got one very important announcement first
  11. [00:12] <Qui> 7["First is my name designation, it should now be Quioi now. The other is that I've done a lot of research into a topic and I realized that you may not be getting the medical professionals recommended 5 fruits of vegetables a day"]
  12. [00:13] * Qui is now known as Quioi
  13. [00:16] <@Afiqah> 03[You nod at their requested name change, and then chuckle at the vegetable's comment. "Okay, Quioi, this may surprise you, but you don't actually need vegetables, or food, on account of not being biological." You tilt your head at them. "How is the new core doing? Anything worrisome or anything I should take a look at?"]
  14. [00:19] <Quioi> 7["There are a few possible things, but one of them I am slowly starting to get an understanding about. Since the new core has been implemented I was worried that I was possibly still going through the process of deteriorating when there was a voice in my head"]
  15. [00:19] <Quioi> 7["After some investigation, I have concluded that is the other core, and I am now going through the process of thinking"]
  16. [00:21] <@Afiqah> 03["Thats a good thing isn't it?" You ask as you head to the associated computer to look at the information over the past few days.]
  17. [00:25] <Quioi> 7["Very good, it means for awhile I have process that aren't fully adjusted to mine. Initial information swapping has resulted in a conflict of meaning at a rate of 5,109 per second, the number is at the moment lowered to 955 per second"
  18. [00:26] <Quioi> 7["I'm expecting that over time, the number will be lowered to an average of about 10 per second when errors are more likely to become a problem" there is mainly the same info as before, although there is a few things that seem to be following a weird somewhat random pattern of research that doesn't completely make sense]
  19. [00:26] <Quioi> 7[There's also a single message waiting for you on the computer]
  20. [00:27] <@Afiqah> 03["Those conflicts are errors that you'd otherwise be accumulating, right? Or are they more the cores trying to get to working in sync?" Frown, forwarding the errors to your personal computer to look at later and open the message.]
  21. [00:30] <Quioi> 7["Nooottt exactly, right now Oi is not fully formed so they don't follow what I have developed as my core reasoning, we're working together on this to try to match ours up together until we are stable. The 10 errors per second is expected to be the future error's accumulating through age and disfunction"
  22. [00:31] <Quioi> 7"At that point w-I will be able to fully deal with all errors" the message is said to be titled by 'Oi' along with a short line that simply says "thank you"]
  23. [00:35] * Bobbin is now known as marblePugilist
  24. [00:35] <@Afiqah> 03[That gets a smile out of you. You send back a reply saying 'You're welcome.' before turning back to Quioi. "Well that's good to know. Don't push yourself too hard to the point where it might damage you. Rather enjoy having you around." Close the terminal and find a spot to sit down. "So other than the core, how have things been doing?"]
  25. [00:40] <Quioi> 7[The other core starts to project covers of books, tv shows, movies, and art at a very fast pace "I'm getting myself integrated into the media side of societies, I'm thinking of working on a temporary memory storage unit"]
  26. [00:41] <Quioi> 7["It'd be nice to store junk info there for awhile if I want to say things like, what exactly I watched 5 minutes ago if I filed it under garbage"]
  27. [00:44] <@Afiqah> 03[Hug your legs. "Well if you wanted to, I could supply the materials." Most of your projects are already up and running, you haven't been using near as much grist recently. "I'm curious how much memory would that be? Or would it be easier to build a third core?" Take another few months, but you were told three is likely as stable as you could get them.]
