  11. What follows are the instructions to join the ProjectPM IRC through TOR:

  13. We are using IRC (Internet Relay Chat) for casual communications, and for reasons of privacy and security, proper setup and configuration may be required.

  16. Simple steps for experienced users of TOR and IRC (2-3 minutes setup time):
  17. - Get an IRC client
  18. - Make sure you're running TOR
  19. - Go to: hczmv6hsynfsuv6fl75gwx47pmjgytw7qvbja3sdilksat7u37mbq6yd.onion on port 6667

  21. Windows setup (7-9 minutes setup configure time):
  22. - Get / install Tor Browser (2 minutes)

  25. - Get / install Hexchat (Windows 7 version is free - 2 minutes)

  28. - Configure Hexchat (3-5 minutes)

  58. Configure proxychains correctly, by default it should redirect through the Tor port. If this doesn't work and you're using the Tor Browser Bundle, try port 9150 instead of the default port 9050.
  59. run "proxychains irssi" or "proxychains4 irssi" depending on which version of proxychains you're using.
