  8. Right Click Your "NI Downloads" Folder
  9. Click the "Properties" Selection
  10. Click the "Security" Tab
  11. Click the "Advanced" Button
  12. Click the "Disable Inheritance" Button

  14. It will ask "What would you like to do with the current inherited permissions?"

  16. Click the "Convert inherited permissions into explicit permissions on this object." Option

  20. In the "Permissions" pane:
  21. Select "SYSTEM"
  22. Click the "Edit" Button

  24. In the "Permission Entry" window:
  25. Click the "Show advanced permissions" text.

  27. In the "Advanced permissions" section:
  28. De-Select these options:

  30. [ ] "Delete subfolders and files"
  31. [ ] "Delete"

  33. Click the "OK" Button.

  35. ***Repeat Step 2 for the other selections (i.e "Administrators" and "Username")

  41. Now open Native Access and click install on your product. The ISO should remain in the NI Downloads folder without being deleted. Use the Windows "Copy" function to backup the file to another drive.

  45. Cleaning up your NI Downloads after backup:

  47. Note: To manually delete files, go back to the "SYSTEM" tab in Step 2 and re-enable "Delete subfolders and files" and "Delete".

  52. Then you can manually delete files without getting a permissions error. Don't forget to disable it again afterward, otherwise Native Access will delete your future ISO downloads.
