That don’t have like— cause these tubes, these caps right here they twist off the other ones, you just push down. Uh I do have a bunch of them at home so I have some I have some 12in ones and some 24inch ones of that one as well but I prefer these. That’s just my preference though.
Um I’ve been in the hospital because I was pretty like dehydrated and a little malnourished and um they didn’t feel right sending me home when I had no way to get nutrition. Unlike Penn who sent me home with no plan whatsoever. Um so they decided that they were gonna admit me in we were gonna do our best to get my tube feed rate up to where it was close to where it needs to be. Um so yeah we are gonna increase it today— Hii~

“Hey, how are you doing?” I’m good how are you?

 “I’m ok, wanted to check up on you. Talked to GI the plan is you know we’re gonna keep—”

(video paused for about 10 seconds, last part loops and then nothing for about 5 seconds) well or if or he changes his mind you know whatever

“I think he was saying like a 50ccs an hour”

Oh ok yeah I’m at 30 right now so

“so then if we were able to go to 40 tomorrow and and 50 Sunday you’d be out on Monday”

Yeah I would, that’s fine.

“Yeah ok, that’s the plan and uh, we’re gonna follow by what they wanna do”

ok did the doctor ??? ever talk to Penn about the block thingy I forgot that yesterday. “So yeah ask him today I-I’ve been waiting to see what the deal is for that.”

Mhm

“Um”

Yeah it totally blanked my mind when he came in last night

“I still don’t know if, if they think it’s gonna be beneficial for you or what not, but if it is, it’s something that definitely can be done”

“I’ll look into it again and see, cause I’ve been waiting to see the upper ranks about it”

Yeah

“I did talk to um... a resident before he moved in yesterday and she said that this would be yeah yesterday afternoon she said she would talk to him about that again, and um that wasn’t mentioned. But we did start the fluids for you right?”

Yeah yeah it’s just I’ll get into bed after a shift change.

“You feel better with the fluids?”
Yeah

“Ok good.”

Mhm

“I’m glad we could do that, we just didn’t know if... um we could start that yet without the GI’s blessing.”

Yeah no I understand.

“So as soon as he told me I could I—“

yeah

“Um, ok and your feeling kinda the same or a little bit better or?”

Um... a little bit better, I’m slowly getting used to the tube feeds again so hopefully

“yeah”

over time it’s just you know, my intestines get used to it so we’ll see.

“Yeah, sure, ok.”

And I had a question for you,

“yeah”

um I’m on a liquid diet, is there any way I could try like a regular diet just like pick at some stuff and get what I.... like, gp friendly stuff at least, but

“yeah”

I can like pick at it

“I think that’s totally fine”

“I’ll put you on a regular diet”

ah yeah cause I wanna try eating a little bit before going home too so—

No I paused it you’re good.

“looks good, can you press in and out?”

(More pause, probably doing some sort of exam)

“So looks good just let me press something for you...”

“Still kind of the same pain here?”

Yeah, but it’s slowly getting better so

“ok”

(Dani nodding)

“Alright so yeah, any questions for me?”

Uh no, you’re good.

“So I’ll start the regular diet, you’re doing kinda the same it seems like, or a little bit better?”

For what?

“For just like your nausea...”

Oh I-I always have nausea, it just gets worse every once in awhile, but

um I see all that they, the zofran is scheduled now which actually

wo-works yeah works out better. I don’t have to like wait and ask for it and all that stuff so yeah.

“And the pain is still sort of the same or is that a little bit— are you tolerating pain more...”

Umm it’s still about the same but I’m starting to tolerate it so

“Ok”

Yeah

“right, alright, thank you.”

“I won’t be here um... tomorrow, but I’ll be back on Sunday”

Mm ok, sorry guys that was one of the residents that um, came iiinn uh... where were we at? I know I told all my ??? and I totally lied but that’s ok. It’s not like he said anything like, personal that you guys y’know can’t hear or anything like that.
(Looking at chat)
Umm... Oh I’m sorry to hear that, y’know, the healthcare in Maine isn’t good, I haven’t been there... um so yeah actually y’know like comment on it. Um but I wish you the best and I hope that you can get the help that you need... and you can start feeling better. Um I don’t know exactly what your diagnosis is but um if you wanna share you can share or you can dm me, we can do it in private, um but I really do hope you get the care and everything that you need.
