  1. [08:20:41] No one was coming for Esther.
  2.
  3. At least not amicably. Maxwell had recieved no return to his propositons, as such they could all assume the Outlaws were not willing to trade. Consequently, it was going to be up to the Ookami to pay rent.
  4.
  5. Escorted by two men in white coats, one of which carried two cases while the other pushed a gurney down to the dungeon. With one gesture, they would have access to the inner dungeon. Without any hesitation, the two men would set their items neatly and swiftly go for Esther.
  6.
  7. "Good Morning Miss Esther. Hello Harkon. I will be collecting pay for your stay and damage caused by your faction, Little Miss. I will make sure the procedure will involve the least amount of pain possible."
  8.
  9. Equipment was laid bare on the gurney's little reactable table on its side. Scapels, magic-powered saws, siphoning tubes. Everything one would need for surgery.
  10.
  11. "Please don't struggle as you are stripped and strapped down."
  12. (Nashandra)
  13. [08:23:15] Var'Thuul looks out of his cell when Nashandra showed up. He was still annoyed that Maxwell had went back on his word on what was offered, so it was more of a glare while he watched what was going on. He was also curious as to what they planned on doing with Esther and if they were going to do it here.
  14.
  15. The blue drake only moving a little while he lays in his cell. He had already heard about the trade that he was to be a part of. He looks at the equipment layed on the gurney. Were they going to experiment on her?
  16. (Var' Thuul)
  17. [08:28:22] This conversation with Harkon was the best she had had in a few months now. Kain and her did speak - but it was them just speaking about the outside. About how they wished to leave. There was nothing there that she could talk more. She couldn't talk of the supposed plan to save them. It was simply too dangerous to mention it in here...
  18.
  19. Nashandra's men came in before her and were quick to grab ahold of her. If this was the outside, she'd have no trouble dealing with them. Yet it wasn't. She was trapped inside of this cell - two men easily able to apprehend her. "The fuck do you think you're doing?!" She'd try to kick one of them away. Yet to no avail.
  20.
  21. She couldn't resist. She simply had to let Nashandra do what she wanted to.
  22. (Esther)
  23. [08:32:38] What possible methods to extract information had Loranthis failed to utilize...
  24.
  25. Hovering there with various pebbles suspended around him form, Harkon considers many things. Torture, of course, was at the top of his list. For why shouldn't he consider inflicting pain upon the Ookami? Was it not her brood who wished for his death for simply being? Oh, the things he could imagine. And if they compelled the Ookami to release the knowledge she hordes in the process? Well, no skin off his tongue. Hers on the other hand--
  26.
  27. Down from the steps comes Nashandra and her escourts. Dressed in white for some strange reason. Weren't all citizens of Loranthis supposed to dress in all black? He could swear that's in their constitution somewhere. If they had one anyway.
  28.
  29. "Payment?..." He comments, raising a brow as Esther is promptly dragged out against her will. The fey rather enjoyed the sight, though kept some semblence of placidity upon his features. "Are we giving her surgery? I vote we remove the Ears and Tail while we're at it." He floats closer, resting above Esther. "It's not like she'd do us any better given the chance." He moves back now. Landing on the nearest free flat surface to watch the surgery unfold.
  30. (Harkon)
  31. [08:37:45] (reposting first portion as my keyboard messed up)
  32.
  33. "There is not mistake as to what I'll do, Miss Esther."
  34.
  35. With a calm demeanor, she witnessed the Ookami stripped of her clothes and strapped to the gurney. Her dignity wouldn't suffer too much, however, as a blue sheet made for such operations would be drapped over her being, only leaving a rectangular opening on her chest, between her breasts.
  36.
  37. "I will be permanently confiscating your right lung, Miss Esther. It is more of a fine than actual payment. Please stay still."
  38.
  39. A syringe would be the first tool she'd extract from her array of surgical ustensils. One filled with a pink-ish liquid. A few pokes on her chest, and the lady would no longer feel that area. A local aenesthetic. Efficient in order to keep track of the wellbeing of a patient. Though only reliable on magi. Non-magi tended to be too fragile.
  40.
  41. Harkon would have his own confusion and requests, which would be met with a chuckle.
  42.
  43. "The lung suffices. The less visible the damage, the better. You can assist me, however, Harkon."
  44.
  45. Spoken as she'd draw the lines for the incisions with a blue marker.
  46. (Nashandra)
  47. [08:41:10] Var'Thuul keeps watching as the girl was stripped and strapped to the table. It seems they were going to take part of her since the outlaws didn't respond in time to the trade offer. He simply keeps laying there, with the occasional movement making some noise since he was chained down in multiple spots. He then noticed the pink liquid on the table.
  48.
  49. He keeps quiet as he watches though, not feeling like having the same thing done to him. He was still angry at the fact maxwell went back on the oil deal. He went back to thinking about how he would get back at maxwell for not following through on his deal.
  50. (Var' Thuul)
  51. [08:45:26] "My fucking LUNG?! The hell, take a kidney or something at least!" Yea, to her a kidney was much less important than a lung. She was melee fighter, she had no need for some random kidney. While her lung was a very important part of her anatomy. It was her power system. What she used to move as quickly as she did.
  52.
  53. What was Nashandra's reason for taking a lung? She was strapped down. Stripped and lying on the ground. Needles punctured her skin - but the sharpness of the needles was quick to disappear with the numbness of most of her body. She turned to the side and shut her eyes...
  54.
  55. She had no reason to stare at this - and resistance was futile. She was just glad that Kain was asleep in the cell right now.
  56.
  57. (Esther)
  58. [08:52:16] Nashandra is removing Esther's lung... Well, that's a step beyond Harkon's Idea of torture. But he still approves.
  59.
  60. With quiet interest he watches Esther's reaction to this news. The way she closed her eyes, tilting her head in order to not look at what's about to unfold. To quietly imagine herself elsewhere, failingly; At the mercy of knowing what is to come. To lack a lung, to have her exygen supply cut in half. To one who fights with a blade that is far worse than any form of limb removal. Magi-tech has been perfected as a means of replacing lost apendages.
  61.
  62. But organs have yet to be so widely replaced.
  63.
  64. "I'm unsure how you expect me to help. I hardly know surgery, unless you wish for me to randomly slice open her chest. In that case it's doable." But he might tear an organ or two in half by doing so. Up from his seat he flies, his body once more moving towards Nashandra's subject. "For how long has the dragon been here." He comments quietly beside Nashandra, glancing momentarily towards the chained 'child' of Liara's. This would no doubt cause complications in the future if the woman found out.
  65.
  66. He turns back to the table.
  67. (Harkon)
  68. [08:59:05] "I'm aware. But Alas, an Ookami's power, its essence is channeled best through their lugs. Peak physical fitness, the affinity to the wind, air. It is the propice organ to study, don't you agree?"
  69.
  70. Like a sadistic scholar, she'd share her enthusiasm for the this practice to ther victim. Though, one could not tell if Nashandra'd be smiling or not as the surgery mask had been equipped. Silver eyes always so hollow, devoid of any form of expression.
  71.
  72. "I was thinking more of a nurse. Though I have these gentlemen to assist me. I am novice, after all."
  73.
  74. Novice to the extent where she lacked experience. But muscle memory of her progenitor made this feel nature. This procedure would not be perfect, but it would likely be successful. The scalpel was drawn, and she'd be quick to perform the first cut.
  75.
  76. "It has been here since the war. He had been captured by Mister Mazino."
  77.
  78. Esther didn't feel a thing, other than perhaps a bit of pressure. With a few cuts, skin, fat and muscle would be opened, exposing the rib cage. Everyone could see Nashandra, ducking under the gurney as she'd extract a giant pair of pliers.
  79.
  80. "I'm going to cut open your rib cage. This is going to hurt."
  81. (Nashandra)
  82. [09:08:28] She could feel the cold blade beginning to pierce her skin. Layers and layers of her skin, fat and any other tissue being cut opened and put aside. She was like a doll where Nashandra could do anything she wanted. If she wanted organs. She could have them. If she wanted her life, she could have it.
  83.
  84. The pliers were not seen by her. Only a small nod escaped her... "Just put it back I guess." It was her attempt at humour, to try and make the situation a little less of what it was. That was hardly going to happen but at least she tried...
  85.
  86. There was nothing she could do but embrace what was happening.
  87.
  88. (Esther)
  89. [09:09:20] Esther: <*put bac the ribcage she meant*>
  90. [09:17:52] "A nurse? You've got this well in hand. I'll just watch from here, thanks..." True enough to that statement, Harkon remains in place. Close enough to observe but far enough away that any stray blood splatter would likely be avoidable. As Nashandra reached for the Instrument he can only consider what was to come next. He'd seen the intestines of a creature before, he'd even been inside of Nerebia itself. But never had he been so privy to the intimacy that comes with looking into the chest cavity...
  91.
  92. Oh, that DREADFUL sound.
  93.
  94. Skin is cut into and instruments are retrieves to peel back the chest cavity to reveal the horrible sight of Organs laced with blood. It might have brought some curiosity out of the Fey if he wasn't distracted by that dreadful smell that comes with the job. "Well, at least she's sedated..." Likely not very well, though. The pressure would be a terrible thing to endeur. Especially when the spinal cord itself hasn't recieved an inhibitor. "Well, isn't this lovely..."
  95.
  96.
  97.
  98.
  99. (Harkon)
  100. [09:23:50] "You're just chickening out because you lack the attire. I will have my men tailor one your size, exclusively!"
  101.
  102. Another giggle, as the pliers would now severe the cage from the center, and then proceed to chopping in a circular manner until the ribs could be removed in two pieces. Organs were now exposed, and the lungs too quite the large amount of space. It'd be impossible to miss them.
  103.
  104. "Now, the inevitable. You're going to have a lot of trouble breathing. Do avoid moving too much, otherwise I may cut both off ..."
  105.
  106. Now then, with the correct fillaments, she'd start to wrap the bronchial tube leading to the right lung. It wasn't tight yet, as the homunculus aimed to make an adequate knot before actually binding it. After a good ten minutes, it'd be complete, and there, Esther would feel her breathing cut off. Her right lung could no longer expel air, nor could it take it any. With a syringe, a small hole was made at the bottom in other to let the CO2 escape and prevent any stress.
  107.
  108. Another filament was wrapped arounf the tube, just a few centimeters away from the other. She was trying to stop the blood flow at this point, from both ends. With both wrapped up, she'd aim to cut the small space between the filaments, and eventually retrieve the organ.
  109.
  110. "Be ready, I will be confiscating your lung."
  111. (Nashandra)
  112. [09:32:22] The pressure of the plyers cutting away at her ribs would make her body jolt upwards for a few seconds. This was not painful, yet it still made her body move around in uncomfortable ways. It wasn't on purpose, it was simply her instincts. As her body would return back to it laying on the floor, she'd slowly begin to soak the ground in tears.
  113.
  114. Damn was this a scarring experiance. As the oxygen was cut away from her right lung - her body wouldn't react in the best of ways. She would begin breathing extremely quickly. Wheezing at times as she tried to get oxygen into her system. It wasn't a good experiance and if something wasn't done, she has a small chance of suffocating.
  115.
  116. Yet of course it was up to Nashandra to choose if she did or didn't do anything to help. Some sort of relaxant, maybe just a way to put the girl to sleep would be enough.
  117.
  118. (Esther)
  119. [09:40:54] Careful observations on the Fairy's part.
  120.
  121. While Nashandra cuts away, Harkon instead notes Esther's current mood. The sensations she feels, the trauma being caused by such an experience. It was obvious th is was a scaring experience, at best. But what what not was whether this was exactly a normal thing in a surgery of this degree. How many other's have actually had a lung removed? None to his knowledge. Quietly, the Fairy chirps. "I believe her stress is causing her to go into Anaphylactic shock. Or whatever the correct term for suffocation is."
  122.
  123. Really, this was a dreadfully poor way to conduct surgery. Adequate for torture and punishment, but a terrible means of organ harvesting. Always sedate your victems before removing every organ you possibly could. It's the first rule of organ harvesting. That and conserving your supply of drugs if they can withstand the pain. "And, no. I do not want one of your outfits, thank you very much." Dressed up like some toy, he thinks not.
  124. (Harkon)
  125. [09:47:44] "She'll be fine. Ookami of her caliber are capable of withstanding such things. I am taking her lung for a reason."
  126.
  127. The scalpel descended, and would then sever the shrivelled portion between the filaments. All Nashandra had to do was press, and it would be completely severed. The binding of each end prevented any big blood loss, with only a few drops here and there. One of the assistants would always be on the lookout for blood succion.
  128.
  129. Right lung severed, it would be secured in a cold box covered in all sorts of runes, before being swiftly transferred to another area in the White tower. With that secure, Nashandra could proceed to closing the lass up. A good two hours had passed during this intervention and it seemed to have gone smoothly.
  130.
  131. "That's another organ secured. Just a few more, and I believe we will have the whole set."
  132.
  133. Ribs were stapled back, and the girl's torso would be stiched up. Staff would supervise Esther and her breathing as she'd eventually awaken. They couldn't have this outlaw die now. (20 temp agi nerf, added to 20 permament agi nerf and 10 vit nerf.)
  134. (Nashandra)
  135. [09:57:07] The procedure was done. It seems that Nashandra was correct, the girl was infact strong enough to withstand this sort of torture. A vital organ was stripped from her. One she would undoubtable feel many years down the line. If the girl survives that long that is.
  136.
  137. She would be stitched up and everything seemed to finish in her mind in a matter of seconds. She was awake - alive and could barely move with the constant pain in her chest as well as the lackness of breath. Her face red and wet from past tears...
  138.
  139. She was just there. In her cell. Clothes and back to 'normal' as normal as it could be. Yet the scars were easily seen - considering she had little covering her chest to begin with. As all she had was straps of fabric covering her breast area.
  140.
  141. This was probably going to get infected.
  142.
  143. (Esther)
