  1. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] is putting out all that chairs in the room. He's working on the front row, dangerously close to Paloma. Every now and again he throws a wary glare at her before quickly turning away --
  2. CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] RIGHT NOW responded to memo.
  3. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] herself is rehersing. Even though it's not an actual session, she's still doing her best. --
  4. CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] RIGHT NOW responded to memo.
  5. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] arrived pretty early to fix up some of the more technical parts of the casino. She's just passing by when she hears singing and decides to take a short break (not like she wants to see a mossblood performin' or anything!) --
  6. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] takes a seat and... hey... that redblood looks awfully familiar >;/ --
  7. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] looks up and spots cucali. His eyes widen slightly and he quickly ducks his head and looks at his feet instead --
  8. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude's [CAA'S] face brightens when she sees Cucali. She doesn't stop singing, but she certainly looks happy to see her. --
  9. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] saw that look! She casually moves over to a table closer to him, focusing on Paloma but casting glances at Cirrin too. --
  10. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] spares another quick glance at Cucali and feels like he'd rather be somewhere else right now. He hurries his work with the chairs --
  11. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] too much haste. He fumbles and knocks a pile of stacked chairs over making a loud distracting noise. Told you about chairs dog! --
  12. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude's [CAA'S] song falters as she hears the loud noise and turns towards it. --
  13. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] takes that opportunity to stroll up to him. --
  14. CNM: Well, well, weeeeeell!
  15. CNM: What a mess we have here!
  16. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] sneers at her and scrambles around to bend over and pick up those chairs --
  17. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] smirks and follows him at a distance. --
  18. CNM: What are y☼u d☼in' in here, Ciiirrin? And makin' such n☼ise t☼☼, durin' her rehearsal! That's reeeeeeeally rude!
  19. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] stops what he's doing and turns to her --
  20. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] he gestures to the chairs --
  21. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] plays dumb. --
  22. CNM: Whatcha tryin' t☼ say, Cirrin?
  23. CNM: Speak up!
  24. CAA: <\ It, it's okay, Cucali, he has to set them up... />
  25. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] calls out on Cirrin's behalf. --
  26. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] rolls her eye at her. --
  27. CNM: I wasn't askin' y☼u!
  28. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] takes a quick step closer at that 'speak up' remark --
  29. CNM: S☼☼☼☼☼, Cirrin? Y☼u g☼t s☼methin' t☼ say?
  30. CRO: uhhhh gluhhh
  31. CNM: What was that?
  32. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] balls a fist. instead he takes out the paper ink and quill and puts that all down on a chair --
  33. CRO: stop that you know damn well CIRRIN RUNFAR cant talk and why
  34. CNM: Heeeeey, what's with that attitude? I was just askin' what y☼u were d☼in' here, seeing h☼w y☼u're s☼☼☼☼ cl☼se t☼ m☼ssybl☼☼d here!
  35. CNM: I th☼ught y☼u were sick ☼f her?
  36. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] nods his head to that --
  37. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] leeeans forward. --
  38. CNM: Then whatcha d☼ing here?
  39. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] frowns as she watches the two of them. She doesn't want things to get out of hand... but... on the other hand, it's kind of sweet that Cucali is defending her. --
  40. CRO: "working for little to no pay dont you have bodies to guard somewhere?"
  41. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] waves that note in her face --
  42. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] shoves that note down. --
  43. CNM: Seis's lettin' me run things ☼n her behalf! F☼r a little whiiiile, ☼f c☼urse.
  44. CNM: Why d☼n't y☼u beat it, Ruuuunfar? Live up t☼ y☼ur name!!
  45. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] looks like he's about to do just that, when he turns around and starts writting another note --
  46. CRO: "seiska made CIRRIN RUNFAR equal to you Cucali you cant boss CIRRIN RUNFAR about here"
  47. CNM: ... whaaaaat?
  48. CNM: What musclebeast shit are y☼u sp☼utin' n☼w??
  49. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] steps back --
  50. CRO: "well its true CIRRIN RUNFAR doesnt question it"
  51. CNM: I d☼n't thiiiink s☼!
  52. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] shakes his head --
  53. CRO: "true"
  54. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] says in a sing-songy voice: --
  55. CNM: I d☼n't beliiiiieve y☼u!
  56. CAA: <\ What, what is it you don't believe..? />
  57. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] can't read Cirrin's notes, after all. But she's concerned, and it shows. --
  58. CNM: This ain't y☼ur pr☼blem, m☼ssy!
  59. CNM: Keep y☼ur little n☼se ☼utta it!
  60. CAA: <\ But, it sort of is! />
  61. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] glances at Paloma --
  62. CNM: Y☼u d☼n't even kn☼w what the hell we're talkin' ab☼ut here!
  63. CAA: <\ I, I really think it would best if we didn't talk to him... />
  64. CNM: Are y☼u tryin' t☼ b☼ss me ar☼und, m☼ssy? I said t☼ stay ☼utta this! I'm just having a niiiice chat with a c☼-w☼rker!
  65. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] writes a note and chucks it at Paloma --
  66. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] catches it deftly and reads. --
  67. CRO: "tell her CIRRIN RUNFAR hasnt bothered you at all today"
  68. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] D;< --
  69. CNM: Hey!!
  70. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] quickly turns to Cucali and holds up his hands --
  71. CNM: N☼ c☼mmunicatin'! Wasn't that the terms ☼f ☼ur deal??
  72. CAA: <\ He, he wrote that he hasn't bothered me and he wanted me to tell you that. Which is, it's true... we haven't said a word to each other before now. Er, or written a word. />
  73. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] makes a motion with his hand as if to say 'there, you see?' --
  74. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] looks at them suspiciously, trying to see if they're lying. When she decides that it's the truth she sighs, exasperated and a little disappointed. --
  75. CNM: Fiiiine. Then y☼u w☼uldn't mind if I sit an' watch f☼r a little while then!!
  76. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] shrugs --
  77. CAA: <\ Of course you're welcome to watch! />
  78. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] snaps her fingers at Cirrin. --
  79. CNM: C'm☼n, get me a chair!!
  80. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] pauses for a moment to look at her, before scampering off to pick up a chair and slide it behind her --
  81. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] clears her throat and begins singing again, going through the songs the band would be performing. --
  82. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] gives him the most condescending smile she can. --
  83. CNM: Thank y☼u, Cirrin!!
  84. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] gives a half smile back, and keeps a hand holding onto the back of the chair --
  85. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] sits down and enjoys the show. --
  86. -- CURRENT recreantOctopus [CRO] goes back to picking up the fallen chairs around the place and makes a few grumbling sounds --
  87. -- CURRENT absoluteAltitude [CAA] sings her way through the set. There's nothing wrong with her voice, at least. --
  88. -- CURRENT nitroMerc [CNM] smirks to herself. Annoying Cirrin? Check! Nice music? Check! The day is going by very smoothly! --
