Tsubaki and Anon pt. 10

>About a week goes by without Tsubaki telling me what was in the box.
>Even found it in one of the recycling bins in the lobby without it's contents.
>Ever since that package came I've noticed a change in Tsubaki's behavior.
>Around me she seems on edge for some reason.
>Even when asked she says it's nothing.
>Today is one of my few off.
>On days off I tend to do the cooking so Tsubaki can work uninterrupted.
>She's still acting weird.
>The entire time we're eating lunch I've notice she keeps looking over at me.
>About to get to the bottom of it when the phone rings.
>Realize it's in my room.
>"Why's the phone in my room?"
>"I had to make a call earlier Anon. Can you get it?"
>"ehhh..."
>Manage to get to phone before it stops ringing.
>"Hello is Anon there?"
>"Oh hey Lahlah whudya need?"
>"If you have some time today dearie I need you to install something for me."
>"Sure what is it?"
>"Well I followed your advice and bought that new hard drive you suggested. If you could install it I'd be grateful."
>"Yeah alright just lemme finish lunch and I'll be right up."
>"Thanks dear, tell Tsubaki I said hello."
>Go and hang phone back up before sitting back down.
>Tsubaki's looking at me the entire time.
>"Who was that?"
>"It was Lahlah, she needs me to do something for her."
>"Oh?"
>"Yeah she needs a hard drive installed."
>"Did she say anything else?"
>"No, just to tell you she said hi is all."
>Entire time we're talking Tsubaki's tail seems to be twitching like crazy.
>As soon as I told her Lahlah's message the speed of the twitching increased.
>Finish lunch hand head to Lahlah's.
>Figure I can tackle whats bugging Tsubaki after.
>Head up to Lahlah's suite and give the door a knock.
>Can hear Lahlah on the other side of the door.
>Sounds like she's talking to someone.
>"Hold on Anon, I'll be there in a second."
>Finally get let in after what feels like 10 minutes.
>Before I even get through the door Lahlah hands me the box with the hard drive inside.
>"Here dearie, you know where my office is. I need to go change over some laundry if you don't mind."
>"No problem, I'll just set this up as a secondary drive to save some time."
>"Do what ever you need to get done dearie."
>Get to work disconnecting the tower and everything.
>By the time I'm done Lahlah's standing over me watching.
>"Is it all set Anon?"
>"Yep, lemme just get the cover back on and boot it up."
>Let out a relieved groan as I stand back up.
>"Between you and Tsubaki Anon, I've had a bit less stress in my life. You're really a pair you know."
>Too focused on the boot up all I could do was talk over my shoulder.
>"It's not like that Lahlah, Tsubaki is a friend and again I'd rather not do something to make her feel uneasy around me."
>"Anon I think if anything she feels safe with you around."
>"What makes you say that?"
>"You think poor Tsubaki sits at that computer all day? Sometimes she and I have lunch together you know and talk."
>Feel a lump in my throat
>"L-Like what?"
>"Well the last major thing she talked about was how you stood up for her at the beach that one day."
>"Oh?"
>"It was cute how she said you stood up to someone for her sake."
>"I was just trying to do the right thing..."
>"Dearie, it takes a man to do the right thing. Even my husband believed it didn't matter what you were like, a man was someone who fought for what he believed was the right idea."
>"Guess so..."
>Finally turn around to face lahlah.
>"You wanna have me transfer the files now or wait?"
>"Dearie I think I've kept you long enough, can you tell me though how to move files?"
>"Yeah, just open my computer go to the new drive and drag and drop the folders you want into that. Only do so much at a time to keep it from locking up. Lastly when you're done just delete the files from their original location since the copies will be on the new drive."
>"Thank you again Anon."
>Get shown the door with everything done.
>Before I leave Lahlah decided to get one last word in.
>"Anon I know you don't like making Tsubaki feel uncomfortable, but sometimes it's better to let someone know how you feel then to bottle it up. It could just end up hurting you more later on, and not just you but her as well."
>Drop my gaze a bit.
>Knew Lahlah was right but I didn't want to admit it
>"Anon, trust an old orc's wisdom on this. I have a feeling that if you do it tonight and tell her how you feel you'll both feel better about yourself."
>"I'll try Lahlah...Anyways take care and lemme know if the computer acts up."
>"I will Anon, and good luck."
>Got sent off with a wave by Lahlah as I went back home.
>With one problem down that just left the other one.
>Something seems off when I return.
>The sound of a keyboard being hammered on is missing.
>As soon as I closed the door behind me heard Tsubaki calling from the bedroom.
>"Anon?"
>"Yeah?"
>"C-could you come here?"
