  1. Death Ball. That’s what the test is, and we played it. We probably cheated, teleporting around the arena. But we won either way and they didn’t object to it at all. The game was weird, but leave it to some barbarians to come up with a bloody violent game of goblin head tossing. The arena we played in was obviously magical and Beans has a theory that this village sits on top of some magical Font. I’ll have to ask her more about what that means. It is powerful and ancient, we might be able to use that to our own advantage.
  2. Apparently the victor of Death Ball also becomes Chieftain of the tribe. But there is six of us, so we couldn’t all be chieftain. None of the others seemed to want it, and while the idea of power was enticing, I feel like I would be a bad leader. I don’t know anything about these people or their way of life. Still, Brook took up the mantle, maybe not surprisingly. He does like to talk, or I should say ‘she’ likes to talk. She’s apparently a she now, not a he anymore. The rest of us were named advisors of sorts. I’m called the Skywatcher and have some sacred duty. Sounds pretty nifty!
  3. I have access to a grove of sorts that is sacred, magical, and they have no idea what it does. I get the feeling they expect me to figure that out. Exploring the arcane isn’t exactly my forte, even if it runs in my veins like blood. I’m excited, nervous too. Maybe I’ll learn something amazing, maybe I’ll grow as a mage. What if I can’t figure it out though? I wish I had someone to ask for advice other than Beans, and especially other than Brook. I’ll get some rest and check it out tomorrow.
