Kamen Rider Tetsu

Premise:
Japan is fighting to contain a bizzare new viral outbreak dubbed the "Metal Virus" by the media. Those infected by it spontaneously have their flesh turned into machinery, mutating into monsters called Bodyhammers that rampage through human populaces. The armed forces struggle to contain the Bodyhammer attacks and nobody knows who may be infected. In addition, sightings of "The Metal Fetishist" are causing panic in the populace, and his appearance near scenes where Bodyhammers appear is being treated as suspicious.

Tetsuo Yamada, an ordinary salesman, is returning home from work one day when he accidentally hits somebody with his car. His attempts to help lead to him being injured - the person he hit was a Bodyhammer in the midst of transformation. Not long after, his body begins to painfully mutate, wherupon a mysterious figure appears and hands him a belt-like contraption, claiming that he can save his life... for a price. Unwilling to succumb to the mutation, Tetsuo accepts the bargain and uses the belt to become an armoured, metal warrior capable of fighting the Bodyhammers.

But this is a dark state of affairs. Not only must Tetsuo fight the Bodyhammers to keep his home and wife safe, he has to keep his identity as a secret. The media, convinced he is just another violent Bodyhammer, is determined to slander and out him. His transformation may have been prevented, but the effects may have only been temporary. And the Metal Fetishist is dogging his every move, trying to encourage him to "fulfil his design"... whatever that may mean.

Characters:
Tetsuo Yamada: The protagonist. A salaryman forced to become Kamen Rider Tetsu after being infected with the Metal Virus.
Yuri Yamada: Tetsuo's wife
Yatsu Kinzoku/The Metal Fetishist: A deranged man with severe mechanophilia/metallophilia. He finds beauty in machines and is disgusted by the human form. Seems to have a connection to the Bodyhammers and a vested interest in Tetsuo.

Bodyhammers: MotW. Normal humans transformed into metal monstrosities by the Metal Virus. The transformation is extremely traumatic and painful.
