Ashfur was standing with his tail to him, glancing around as if looking for any sign of Bramblestar. Shadowsight leaped for him again, trying to pierce Ashfur’s thick pelt with his claws. But Ashfur spun around and sank his teeth hard into Shadowsight’s leg, and raked his claws down the top of his head, shredding his ear.
The pain was so intense that Shadowsight collapsed, darkness swirling around him. He struggled to rise to his paws, but the injured leg could not bear his weight.
