Sexual liberation

People will always be suspicious of those who wish to rewrite sexual norms, and society's ideal of sexual behavior with them. And I think for good reason, it is an instinct which likely served us well. While not rational, I wouldn't immediately call it irrational either and I hope to explain why. The trouble with holistic reasoning like this is the fact it is hard to explain without lots of examples to establish a pattern.

On twitter there are "ethical non-contact pedophiles". The most well known being one called Enderphile (named after Ender Wiggin). Despite his proclamations he was arrested for being a perv with children. People assume they are lying and are just trying to make their deviancy easier.

To give a historical example of another severe deviant who railed against backward, retrograde sexual norms there is the infamous Marques De Sade. He didn't like that women and girls were penalized for showing their sexuality, because he enjoyed the fruits of their sexuality. And far beyond casual sex but enjoyed sexual perversion as well. Ultimately, we see sexual deviants as not normal people and think it is bad to indulge them. And I'd like to see a study seeing if sexual behavior and personality traits cluster or covary, this may shed light on why. The sexual behavior could be a red flag for unsavoury traits.
