I wont miss the wedding

Covet: Kelsey waxs sitting in her room just about finished with the conversation she was having with her mom and dad. Her eyes were puffy and she had a handful of tissues held tightly in her hand, half soaked with tears. "Yeah, I know. I understand. I'll talk to you on Sunday then..." She cleared her throat, "Goodnight...I love you guys." // Connor was sitting out in the living room watching TV, Kelsey had set him up with some popcorn while the cartoons played as she needed some privacy.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting out on the couch with Connor, half watching cartoons, half working with his laptop in his lap. He was in the process of trying to book his own flight out to LA for the weekend and was just keeping an eye on Connor while Kelsey talked to her parents.-
Covet: She hit the end call button on her screen and took a moment to take a deep breath. She got up and made her way out of her room and made her way into the living room where Brad and Connor were. She made her way towards the kitchen to get herself a bottle of water. // "Are you all done with your privacy momma?" He asked her, getting up to put his empty bowl of popcorn in the sink.
Alexithymiaa: -When Kelsey came out of her room, he twisted on the couch to look behind him at her in the kitchen, not at all excited to tell her he had a meeting in LA Saturday morning and his flight back would be cutting it dangerously close to wedding time that night. "Everything go okay?"-
Covet: She took her bottle, than ran her fingers through Connor's hair as he came over to give her a hug, "I am kiddo, you need to go get yourself tucked in and ready for bed." She told him, nudging him along the way, following slowly as she walked over to where Brad was. She swallowed hard, taking a drink of the water, then gave a shrug. "The sound of silence was palpable to say the least. But I could feel the disappointment surging through the phone. They said they'll talk to me more on Sunday."
Alexithymiaa: "I think it's probably the initial shock more than anything. They'll get over it pretty quickly." He booked his flight, typing in his email for his itinerary before closing the laptop and looking up at her.-
Covet: "Yeah, I hope so." she said to him, then tilted her head to the side, "What are you working on over there?"
Alexithymiaa: "Uhhhh..." He started, a little hesitant to tell her. "I had to book my flight to LA for tomorrow...."-
Covet: "Wait, what? But what about the wedding?" She said looking at him sternly. "Are you telling me I'm going to be going with just Connor and myself?" She asked with a frown. "What are you going to LA for?"
Alexithymiaa: "I have a meeting Saturday morning for Anna's shoot to get the crew in order for the video, but as soon as the meeting is over I have a flight back. I should be back in time to go to the wedding with no issues. It's just going to be cutting it a little close. Worst case scenario, I can meet you there before the thing starts."-
Covet: Kelsey pursed her lips then nodded. "Make sure you bring your outfit with you then. That way you can change at some point if that's going to be the case." Kelsey said as she sat down. "How's Evan doing?"
Alexithymiaa: "I already have it packed." He said quickly, which was true, but it was also the only thing he had actually packed at this point. "A lot better. He's coming back to work next week, so I can ease up a little. Hopefully he won't hate what I've done with the calendar and my schedule."-
Covet: "Okay good." She told him then nodded her head, "I'm sure he'll be appreciative of what you have done, rather than nothing at all." She told him.
Alexithymiaa: "I mean I'd really be screwing myself over more than anything else if i did nothing at all. Then I'd really be doing nothing on my end because nothing would be set up or in motion."-
Covet: "That makes sense, I'm glad to see you acting so mature about this. You're really coming along, think about trying to do this a couple years ago, all by yourself." She said with a soft smirk.
Alexithymiaa: "I can't even." He said with a laugh, shaking his head. "I was fortunate in that way to not be this successful or busy a couple years ago because I wouldnt have been able to handle it without Evan. I can barely handle it now."-
Covet: "Right? I'm not sure how much you're paying him, but he deserves to know how much he's appreciated." Kelsey said.
Alexithymiaa: "I should probably give him a raise, right?" Brad asked unsurely. He gave him a raise not that long ago, but he felt maybe Evan needed to be shown he was appreciated even more after Kelsey's remark.-
Covet: "I mean, at the very least it would help him with being out of work the last couple of weeks and recoup anything the lost, along witht the medical bills." Kelsey told him.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah that's true." He said, thinking on it for a moment. "Well he's be back officially on Monday, so I'll talk to him about it then. Not that I think he's going to say no or anything."-
Covet: "This is true. Nobody says no to more money."
Covet: *Kelsey said, then rubbed her head a little. "My head is killing me, too much crying the last few days. I just feel utterly exhausted."
Alexithymiaa: "I never really understood that. Why does being emotionally take so much out of you? It's not like your body is doing anything physical to be tired from, really. That never made any sense to me. It's like one of those mysteries of science or something."-
Covet: "I don't know, but I have to agree with it being a mystery. The brain is a complex thing, and it's just as taxing to be thinking about a lot of stuff as it is physically exerting yourself." She said with a yawn.
Alexithymiaa: "Does that mean we should get you into bed so you can get plenty of sleep and be able to pack for me tomorrow before I need to leave?" He asked, giving her a smile and trying to be cute.-
Covet: Kelsey sighed and rolled her eyes, "Yes, I suppose I can help you do that." She went to get up, taking another drink of her water, finishing it off.
Alexithymiaa: -He smiled, leaning in to kiss her cheek. "Thank you. You just pack so much nicer than I do. It's all neat and you never forget anything. If I did it, I'd show up missing half the things I needed."-
Covet: "How would you ever funtion with out all the help you get." She said to him reaching over to mess up his hat.
Alexithymiaa: "HEy!" He said as he moved his hands up to adjust his beanie, sliding away from her. "I functioned okay before. But now I'm extra busy. I don't have time to do all these things anymore. It's different."-
Covet: "Mhhm. If that's what helps you sleep at night." She told him then made her way towards the bedroom, going to check on Connor making sure he was getting into bed and all that good stuff while she went about getting changed for the sleep things.
Alexithymiaa: "I sleep perfectly fine at night without telling myself anything, thank you very much." He said proudly, looking in her direction and listening in to make sure Connor didnt give her a hard time about bed.-
