18:18] <~illcushion> The group (minus one) at the monster stronghold of Noemi all wake up at the same time, for... reasons.
[18:19] <~illcushion> The sun is bright, the birds are chirping, and nothing seems immediately urgent. Well, other than the shoggoth girl they should probably go help out at some point.
[18:20] <~illcushion> The shirohebi innkeeper knocks on everyone's doors on the first floor, and Erwin's on the second, to let them know it's time to bail.
[18:21] <~illcushion> (Action)
[18:21] * Erwin- quickly wakes himself (and Stellla) up and gets ready for adventureeee.
[18:22] * Vanilla__ yawns and gets up while stretching his arms.
[18:22] * Vanilla__ makes his way to the lobby to wait for the rest of the party.
[18:23] * Albin dresses up quickly and walks into the lobby while rummaging around his backpack.
[18:23] <Vanilla__> "Mornin' kiddo."
[18:23] <Albin> "Hello."
[18:23] <~illcushion> Stella jumps up from the bed in excitement, and gets quickly dressed.
[18:23] <~illcushion> "Alright! Is it time to go?" she says while walking into the lobby.
[18:25] <Vanilla__> "Waiting for Mack. Where the hell is he anyway?"
[18:25] <Albin> "I bet he's still asleep."
[18:25] * Erwin- follows into the lobby. "Yep! It's about time we set out on our quest!"
[18:25] <~illcushion> The shirohebi at the front desk greets everyone with a rather fake looking smile on her face. "The lord came by earlier and told me to wake you up at this time. She said she'd be waiting at the front gates, so please make haste. Your friend is... well, rather tired out." The shirohebi grimaces, then quickly goes back to her regular smile.
[18:26] <Erwin-> "Mack can catch up to us! It's not like he would do anything but complain anyways."
[18:26] <~illcushion> "Also, the fairy said she'd pay for your stay, but I believe the debt is taken care of. Or it will, when your friend wakes up."
[18:26] <Vanilla__> "Did he do the horizontal tango with another monster? That why he's so tired?"
[18:27] <Vanilla__> "Whatever, I ain't waiting for that city fruit to wake up."
[18:27] <Albin> "If he did, he's the stupidest person ever."
[18:27] <Vanilla__> "We should just leave him a note or something."
[18:27] <~illcushion> The shirohebi dismissively waves her hand. "Oh no, don't worry about that. I'll let him know myself."
[18:28] * Vanilla__ thinks "Damn, I wanted to play a joke on him and write on his forehead."
[18:28] <Vanilla__> "Alright, whatever then."
[18:28] * Albin closes his backpack with a grimace and puts it on.
[18:29] <~illcushion> Stella taps her foot. "Well! If everything's settled and your friend can catch up, we should really go. Mom doesn't like it when she's kept waiting!"
[18:29] <Albin> "Yeah, i think we should go."
[18:29] * Vanilla__ straps up his pack and pulls it over his shoulder.
[18:29] <Erwin-> "Alright lets go!" Erwin heads out.
[18:29] <Vanilla__> "Might as well."
[18:29] * Vanilla__ follows Erwin.
[18:29] * Albin exits the Inn.
[18:30] <~illcushion> Stella walks alongside Erwin and leads the way to the stronghold's gates.
[18:31] * Vanilla__ makes his way to gate with the rest of the party.
[18:31] <~illcushion> As the group nears the gates, there are six girls waiting for them. Two lizard girls guarding the front of the gate, a wyvern and dragon impatiently running around, and Stefania and Vittoria.
[18:32] * Albin takes his cap off and greets the waiting monsters.
[18:33] <~illcushion> The lord acknowledges the group before her with a nod, then motions over to the wyvern and dragon kids. "These will be your body guards on your mission to help the shoggoth girl. Vittoria will act as the muscle, should you need any. And my daughter's trained in hand-to-hand combat, which should be enough to pacify any offending monster on the way to the mines."
[18:34] <Vanilla__> "Honestly, these kids are our bodyguards? I've got plenty of muscle myself as well."
[18:34] <Albin> "Our confiscated weapons were somewhere in here, right? Can we have them back?"
[18:34] <Erwin-> "Great! It's good to have you all." Erwin beams.
[18:35] <Vanilla__> "Not that it isn't appreciated or anything."
[18:36] <~illcushion> The lord pats Vittoria on the back. "She's more than enough muscle for a rescue mission. I know this from experience, of course."
[18:37] <~illcushion> The dragon pouts at Vanilla and sticks her tongue out. "You're big, but we're really fast! Also, strong! We're the strongest soldiers in-" before she can continue, the wyvern interrupts her. "Yeah, we're really strong!" she says, puffing out her chest.
[18:38] <~illcushion> Stella gives them both a pat on the head and leads the way. "Alright, sure, can we just head out? The morning's not getting any younger!" she says, as the lizard girls blocking the gate move out.
[18:38] <~illcushion> One of the lizard girls motion over to the chest where the confiscated weapons were kept. "Don't take anything that isn't yours" she says.
[18:38] <Vanilla__> "Well I'll trust the bear lass but I'll keep watch of my own hide."
[18:41] * Albin straps on his bow, quiver and daggers.
[18:41] <Albin> "Off to the mine we should go, then."
[18:41] * Vanilla__ goes to retrieve his dad's sword, the sealing sword, and the newer blade he's been keeping to replace with the old blade with on his dad's sword at some point.
[18:41] <Erwin-> "Thanks for all the help Stefania! I'll be sure to bring you something nice back as a gift if I see anything." Erwin quickly gives Stefania a hug before heading out.
[18:42] * Vanilla__ thinks "Damn I never got the chance to leave this somewhere in that town after I picked it up from the armory."
[18:42] * Vanilla__ follows after Erwin.
[18:43] <~illcushion> Stefania waves the group goodbye and tells the dragon girls to behave. They give her a hug and run towards the group, clinging to Vittoria's arms.
[18:45] * Vanilla__ puts his backpack properly over both shoulders and starts on the trail.
[18:45] <~illcushion> AND SO THEY WENT.
[18:46] <~illcushion> After 3 days of camping, fighting off boredom and intimidatingly looking at any monsters, the group reaches the town and enters it to restock on their supplies, having been rather un-rationed on the way there.
[18:47] <~illcushion> At the town square, they notice a familiar looking face. Namely, Roy's, who missed the entire fucking trip.
[18:47] <~illcushion> (Action)
[18:47] <Erwin-> "And we're back again! Oh hey it's the doll guy."
[18:47] * Roy_ runs up to the others "oi! Where the hell have you guys been!?"
[18:48] <Albin> "That's a loooong story."
[18:48] <Vanilla__> "You can tell it to him kiddo."
[18:48] <Erwin-> "Well we've still got a job to do so there's no time to waste! Should we go straight to the mines?"
[18:49] <Roy_> "Uh, so, who are your friends?"
[18:49] <~illcushion> The village appears to enter a panic as some people start shouting MONSTER INVASION! from the windows.
[18:49] <Albin> "Shit."
[18:49] <Vanilla__> "In the good name of Illias..."
[18:50] <Albin> "Here's a thing we didn't think about."
[18:50] <~illcushion> All the monster girls with the group can't help but sigh. Vittoria shrugs and walks back the way she came as the roaring villagers stop chanting.
[18:50] * Vanilla__ makes himself visible and yells "Hey! These monster folk are with us! Stop yellin' just because they ain't farm monster folk like you're used to!"
[18:51] <~illcushion> The village elder comes running out of his house. "Oh! What is all this commotion for?" he says, as he walks towards the group rather non-chalantly.
[18:52] <~illcushion> As he walks closer, he suddenly stops. "... Wait, you! The heroes from before! We believed you had been eaten by the blob monster in the mines!" he says with a shocked expression on his face.
[18:52] * Vanilla__ looks at the party. "Seems we forgot something else too."
[18:52] * Albin steps up.
[18:52] <Erwin-> "What? Why we should eat us? She's nice."
[18:52] <Vanilla__> "The blob monster lass turned out to be alright."
[18:52] <Roy_> What? Blob monster?
[18:53] <Albin> "We're here to help with the monster, actually. The Girls here are helping."
[18:53] <Vanilla__> "A shoggoth girl or something like that."
[18:53] * Albin motions to the way Vittoria went.
[18:53] <~illcushion> The village elder claps his hands. "Oh, but the blob monster business was finished yesterday! We sent some other heroes with a couple of our mighty guards to rescue you!"
[18:54] <Erwin-> "What."
[18:54] <Albin> "Finished? What do you mean?"
[18:54] <Erwin-> "What."
[18:55] <Vanilla__> "You mind explaining what in the good name of Illias you mean by finished?"
[18:55] <~illcushion> Stella and the dragon girls walk the way Vittoria went.
[18:56] <~illcushion> The elder shakes his head. "We thought you had fallen prey to the monster, so we sent news with a pigeon to a nearby kingdom! They replied in a day with news of knights coming our way, and then they did, a day ago!"
[18:57] <Albin> "And then what happened? Where are the knights?"
[18:57] <Roy_> Hey, Elder, I've been here the whole time. How come I never heard of this?
[18:58] <~illcushion> The elder flashes a smile at Albin. "The knights are gone, they already finished the business with the soulless creature!" He then looks to Roy. "And... who are you?" he says, scratching his head.
[18:59] * Albin mutters "That does not sound comforting at all."
[18:59] <Roy_> "I guess I'm no body"
[18:59] * Erwin- rushes off to the mines.
[18:59] <Vanilla__> "Illias fuckin' damn it. I didn't mind that lass"
[18:59] * Vanilla__ rushes after Erwin.
[19:00] * Albin turns around and speeds after the party.
[19:00] * MackSwain ([email protected]) has joined #monmusuRPG
[19:01] <~illcushion> As the group rushes off, a twinkle in the sky appears! It's... uh, Mack. Falling off the sky.
[19:01] <~illcushion> Mack crashes on a nearby tree, screaming on the way down.
[19:02] <MackSwain> "son of a BITCH"
[19:02] <Roy_>  Oh, I guess the gang's all here now
[19:02] * Albin collects his jaw from the floor.
[19:02] <Erwin-> go speed racer gooo
[19:03] <MackSwain> Don't worry, guys, the catapults in the monster city work
[19:03] <MackSwain> So uh, what were you all up to
[19:03] <Vanilla__> "We've got urgent business. I'll ask about your entry later."
[19:04] <Albin> "We're in a rush. Something bad happened at the mines. Let's go!"
[19:04] * Vanilla__ starts rushing towards the mines again.
[19:04] * Erwin- never stopped running
[19:04] <MackSwain> "Good thing I swiped my crossbow from the guardhouse"
[19:04] * MackSwain starts running who the fuck knows where
[19:04] * Roy_ just follows the others
[19:04] <~illcushion> The group make their way to the mines. Vittoria and the dragon kids seem to be waiting at the entrance.
[19:05] <MackSwain> "Oi, how did they get there?"
[19:05] <Albin> "Hi guys, no time, we have to get in!"
[19:05] * Albin speeds right through.
[19:05] * Erwin- speedy speeds
[19:05] * Vanilla__ nods to the monster girls and sidesteps them into the mine.
[19:05] <~illcushion> Stella rushes into the mine behind everyone. Vittoria and the dragon kids watch the rear.
[19:06] <~illcushion> At the middle room with the fork in the road, the group notice a faint yellow light that flutters around.
[19:06] * Vanilla__ stops to investigate the light (+2)
[19:07] * MackSwain catches his breath
[19:07] <~illcushion> The light appears to be a tiny fairy, who looks kind of scared.
[19:07] <Albin> "H-hello?"
[19:07] <Vanilla__> "Hey, er, fairy lass you look pale."
[19:08] <~illcushion> The fairy flies at breakneck speed at Albin. "Bro Albin, you're here!" she says as she flies under his hat.
[19:08] <~illcushion> She appears to be shaking.
[19:08] <MackSwain> "Is this the same fairy or am I missing something?"
[19:08] <Vanilla__> "That Erica?"
[19:08] <Albin> "Oh, it's you Erica! What happened?"
[19:09] <~illcushion> Stella pushes past everyone. "No time! Which way... do we go?" she says, winded.
[19:09] <Erwin-> "Tch!" Erwin continues when it turns out to just be Erica.
[19:09] <Vanilla__> "Follow me and Erwin!"
[19:09] <~illcushion> The dragon girls cling to Vittoria's arms. "D-does anyone have a l-l-light?" they say.
[19:09] <MackSwain> "Hold on I've got one
[19:09] * Vanilla__ goes down into the passage that leads to the Shoggoth's chamber.
[19:09] * MackSwain takes out a small cloth torch and lights it
[19:09] * Vanilla__ draws his sword just in case
[19:10] <~illcushion> As Vanilla walks forward, he notices a distinct lack of flesh on the walls.
[19:10] * Albin takes off his cap with Erica still inside and tries to talk to her: "Hey, what happened? Why are you shaking?"
[19:11] <~illcushion> Erica mutters from Albin's cap. "I was scared! And I didn't know which way to go... it was scary!" she says, holding onto his hair.
[19:11] <MackSwain> "Hey, where's the shogurt or whatever she was?"
[19:11] * Vanilla__ mutters "I've got a feeling whatever happened here is gonna leave me real pissed."
[19:11] <Albin> "But what happened? Please tell us."
[19:12] <~illcushion> Erica clams up. It appears she's way too scared for this shit.
[19:12] <Albin> "Ugh...."
[19:12] * Albin puts his cap on, covering the fairy.
[19:12] <Albin> "I'm sure that we're not going to like this, guys."
[19:12] <MackSwain> "I'd bet my morning bacon some demon came up here and had it's way with her"
[19:12] <Roy_> Just what the hell is going on, guys?
[19:12] <~illcushion> The group continues walking deeper into the mine. The walls are all rock-solid, and previously hidden support beams are now visible.
[19:13] <Albin> "Shut up, Mack. We've got bigger problems, it seems."
[19:13] <MackSwain> "There are problems bigger than a demon?"
[19:13] <Albin> "More like lack of one."
[19:14] <MackSwain> "not the shoggit girl you moron, the demon that probably wasted her"
[19:14] <Roy_> Wait, we're looking for a demon now?
[19:14] <Vanilla__> "It was some knights from another kingdom, not a demon you double moron."
[19:15] <~illcushion> Vanilla, leading the way, is the first one to run into the shoggoth's chamber. The air feels rather heavy, almost seeming to push him down. The room lacks proper lighting.
[19:15] <MackSwain> "Well excuse me, nobody decided to bring me up to speed"
[19:16] <Roy_> Jeeze. Did anybody bring a torch?
[19:16] <MackSwain> "are you blind? I'm holding one right here"
[19:16] * Vanilla__ brandishes his sword "Oi! There anybody in here? Shoggoth girl?"
[19:16] * MackSwain hands roy the torch
[19:17] * Albin walks in the chamber after Vanilla and after initial shock, tries to look for anything telling what happened. (+3 Investigation)
[19:17] <~illcushion> A creaky voice rings out from the middle of the room. "H-eeerooo..."
[19:17] <Roy_> Well, ANOTHER torch, then. It's still dark
[19:17] * Erwin- skids into the room. "Shoggoth? You alright?!" He hurries further forwards when he hears the voice.
[19:17] * Vanilla__ goes up to the source of the voice.
[19:18] * MackSwain follows
[19:18] * Roy_ lights the torch with some matches or something
[19:18] <~illcushion> Albin notices 5 bodies lying face down. One of them belongs to the shoggoth, who appears to have lost most of her flesh-hair.
[19:18] <MackSwain> "This doesn't look good"
[19:19] <Roy_> Woah, looks like someone got wasted
[19:19] <~illcushion> Stella takes a step back as she notices the grim scene, and covers the eyes of the dragon kids.
[19:19] <MackSwain> "Yeah, this guy sure didn't make it"
[19:19] * MackSwain prods one of the other bodies
[19:19] * Vanilla__ kneels down near the body of the shoggoth.
[19:19] * Albin kneels next to the Shoggoth girl.
[19:19] <Vanilla__> "You alright?"
[19:20] <~illcushion> The shoggoth appears to squirm for a second, trying to stand back up. She fails.
[19:20] <MackSwain> "she needs to get some of her mass back"
[19:20] <MackSwain> "anybody have a spare...er... cow or something?"
[19:20] <Vanilla__> "You offering to help Mack?"
[19:20] * Erwin- heads to the Shoggoths body. "Ah! Don't struggle..." Erwin helps her stand up with no fear of dying horribly.
[19:21] <MackSwain> "Just tell me what I need to do"
[19:21] <~illcushion> Erwin's hand sinks into the shoulder of the shoggoth. He yanks his hand out on instinct.
[19:22] <~illcushion> Vittoria steps up from the back. "Perhaps you should check if those humans on the floor are still breathing."
[19:22] * MackSwain checks
[19:22] * Roy_ checks one of the other bodies for anything, really (+2)
[19:22] * Vanilla__ more carefully tries to help the shoggoth up.
[19:23] <~illcushion> Three of the men appear to be breathing. The other one appears to have a hole in his stomach.
[19:23] <MackSwain> "This guy's gone, the rest are still breathing"
[19:23] <Albin> "This is going to shit real fast."
[19:24] <~illcushion> Vanilla's hand is almost magnetized to the shoggoth. His head begins to hurt from touching her, and he accidentally drops her, face up. Her only eye is still open, and shakily stares at him.
[19:24] * Albin rushes over to the wounded men, unpacking his herbs and trying to evaluate the damage. (+1 investigation.)
[19:25] <~illcushion> Albin notices that the men seem to have passed out.
[19:25] <~illcushion> A couple of slaps would do the trick.
[19:25] <Vanilla__> "The hell happened here? You alright?"
[19:25] <~illcushion> The shoggoth slowly shakes her head.
[19:26] <Erwin-> "Gah...what has that elder done? This is just evil!" Erwin gives the Shoggoth a worried look. "Don't worry! I never let a cute girl down."
[19:26] <Vanilla__> "Albin, don't wake those men up just yet. Those might be the knights."
[19:26] * Albin searches around his backpack and pulls out small, dried up branches. Horrible smell fills the air.
[19:26] * Roy_ shakes one of the men "Hey, you alright?"
[19:26] <Albin> "But they might die!"
[19:27] <MackSwain> "Roy knock it off, these people are the bad guys..... apparently"
[19:27] * Albin throws his backpack to Vanilla and says: Here, there's still some meat there, you can give it to her or whatever!"
[19:27] * Roy_ puts his hands in the air "Okay, okay"
[19:28] <Vanilla__> "Fine, treat them if you want, but I'll knock them out again if they're a nuisance."
[19:28] * Vanilla__ presents the meat and his waterskin the shoggoth.
[19:28] * Albin crushes the branches in his hands and nears the dust towards one of the wounded man's nose.
[19:29] <~illcushion> The shoggoth slooooowly raises her arm and grabs the meat. It sinks into her palm, and she begins to cough.
[19:29] <MackSwain> "Vanilla, I think now would be an excellent time to explain exactly what the hell is going on here"
[19:30] <~illcushion> Albin's shitty-smelling branch powder wake the man up. He groans, gets up and runs over to the shoggoth. "Miss Alka, are you okay!?" he says.
[19:30] <Vanilla__> "I've go no idea what's going on here myself except some knights are responsible for this."
[19:31] <Albin> "Woah, hey!"
[19:31] * Albin almost falls from astonishment, it never worked so well.
[19:32] <MackSwain> "Okay. What."
[19:34] <Roy_> Wait, I thought you said those were the "bad guys"
[19:34] <MackSwain> "I don't really know what
[19:34] <MackSwain> the hell is going on
[19:35] <Vanilla__> "I said they might be."
[19:35] * Vanilla__ pulls the man towards himself.
[19:35] <Vanilla__> "You got any idea what's going on here?"
[19:36] <~illcushion> The man nods while tears stream down his face. "Yes! Yes, these no-good son of a bitch heroes came here and struck down Miss Alka before my eyes!" he says.
[19:36] <~illcushion> He looks down at the floor. "We all tried to stop them! She even let us go to show them how good she is! Then... then they knocked us out and started attacking Miss Alka!"
[19:37] <MackSwain> "Where are they now?"
[19:37] <~illcushion> The shoggoth coughs some more and tries to stand up. She fails.
[19:37] <Vanilla__> "They're riding back to their kingdom far as the elder said."
[19:38] <MackSwain> "And what was their standard?"
[19:38] <Erwin-> "Hey Alka...is there anything you can do to help yourself get better? You must have some kind of crazy magic or something..." Erwin clenches a fist. "If it comes to it I'll gladly give an arm to help you get better!"
[19:38] <~illcushion> Her voice, still rather creaky, sounds out. "They... didn't knock you out. I did. I'm sorry..." she says from the floor.
[19:39] * Albin attends to the other unconscious men, using the same medicine.
[19:41] * Roy_ goes back to shaking one of the guys awake "Hey. Hey, buddy, wake up"
[19:42] <Albin> "That's not how you do it, idiot!"
[19:42] <Vanilla__> "You'll hafta ask the elder what their standard was." Vanilla mutters, "Damn knights who think they can just ride into the kingdom of Umbra's territory and cause trouble because our current ruler is a joke."
[19:42] <~illcushion> Both of the men raise up from the floor in an instant and join the shoggoth. "Aaaaah! Miss Alka, why!?" they say, taking her hand into theirs. The hand seems to turn pink for a second before regaining its usual skin color.
[19:44] <MackSwain> "Did any of you men see what standard the knights wore"
[19:46] <~illcushion> The shoggoth coughs one more time and turns to Erwin. "Hero... you are too nice..." she says, before bursting into a cough again.
[19:47] <~illcushion> The men ignore Mack and cry onto the shoggoth.
[19:47] <Erwin-> "If I don't be then who will?" Erwin forces a smile. "Someone has to keep cute girls like you safe."
[19:48] * Vanilla__ pulls out what remains of his rations from his pack to give to the shoggoth.
[19:49] <~illcushion> Stella comes back without the dragon kids. "Hey... Vittoria, carry these men out of the mines. The girls and you can take them to the village. If they shout at you again, roar a bit or something." She then sidesteps Erwin and stands in front of the shoggoth's body.
[19:50] <~illcushion> The bear girl grabs two of them and looks at the man Vanilla was interrogating. The man follows behind her as she carries the other two, who are kicking and screaming the shoggoth's name.
[19:52] <MackSwain> "Stella I need to know, from what kingdom did these knights come from."
[19:52] * Albin steps over to Vanilla and whispers: "Unless we do something, she looks like she's not going to make it."
[19:53] <~illcushion> The shoggoth looks at the rations and scoops them into her hand. She absorbs them, then they burst back out of her hand in the same shape they entered.
[19:53] * Vanilla__ whispers back, "I don't know anything about first aid, 'specially not in a case like this."
[19:54] * Albin whispers to Vanilla: "I think the herbs are no good for a demon. Do you think i should try anyway?"
[19:56] * Vanilla__ whispers to Albin, "I feel like that might do more harm than good if she reacts in an unexpected way, but I'm not expert."
[19:56] <Albin> "It's the best we can do, it seems. Do you have any whiskey left?"
[19:57] <~illcushion> Stella raises an eyebrow. "Are you going to get drunk at a time like this?" she says, sitting down in front of the shoggoth girl.
[19:57] <Vanilla__> "'Course I do."
[19:57] * Vanilla__ hands Albin his flask of whiskey.
[19:57] <Albin> "No, but a remedy that might work is based on alcohol."
[19:58] * Albin takes the flask and mixes some roots and leaves in it.
[19:58] <Albin> "If only you didn't eat all my Steelleaf."
[19:58] * Albin looks at Mack.
[19:59] <MackSwain> "Well excuse me."
[19:59] <~illcushion> Stella looks at the body of the demon. "Somehow, I doubt human first aid would work on her." She bites her lip. "And I doubt anyone would let her... eat them. Much."
[19:59] <MackSwain> "My suggestion to find a cow still stands"
[20:00] * Albin turns to Stella: "You're free to try whatever you want if you find something better."
[20:00] <Vanilla__> "Why don't you get on that if you're just going the stand there then?"
[20:00] <MackSwain> "Your asking the city slicker to go find a cow and bring it back here?"
[20:01] * Albin squats near the Shoggoth Girl.
[20:01] <Albin> "Hello? Can you open your mouth? I think this might help you."
[20:01] <Erwin-> "There has to be something..." Erwin mumbles to himself.
[20:01] * Vanilla__ rolls his eyes, "Thanks for the effort Mack."
[20:02] <~illcushion> The shoggoth girl nods and raises her hand. The skin of her palm tears and reveals a five-fanged mouth.
[20:03] * Albin pours contents of the flask in her hand-mouth.
[20:03] <Albin> "As much as i want to help others, i kind of wish i didn't see it."
[20:04] <~illcushion> The hand-mouth closes up. After a few seconds, the shoggoth grimaces and manages to stand up. With her back to the wall.

[20:05] <~illcushion> "Gh... it tastes bad." says the shoggoth as she sticks her tongue out. Yes, there's definitely a horn on that tongue.
[20:06] <Vanilla__> "Whatever, that ain't the point."
[20:06] <Albin> "Just wash it, unless you want to gain some more muscle."
[20:07] <~illcushion> The shoggoth then goes back to a rather forced smile. "Sorry about that... it seems I took more damage than I expected. I did not mean to burden you." She seems to have some trouble standing up.
[20:07] * Albin says to the Shoggoth: "Do you feel any better now?"
[20:07] <Vanilla__> "You made a muscle growth potion in my flask?"
[20:07] <Albin> "Yes."
[20:08] <Albin> "It worked much better than expected, too."
[20:08] <Erwin-> "Well it looks like you're getting better! And that's all that counts." Erwin smiles. "Man that was scary..."
[20:08] <~illcushion> She slowly nods. "Yes... better than before. So... still terrible." She frowns. "Those people tore apart a lot of me... even after I was laying down, they continued cutting all of me." She motions over to the walls.
[20:09] * MackSwain cringes
[20:09] <Erwin-> "Wait...so if there's less of you now does that mean you can leave?"
[20:10] <MackSwain> "I think your missing the point
[20:10] <~illcushion> The shoggoth shakes her head. "I could've always left... but I would've been killed. They seek me out still. I feel them. Everywhere." She grimaces.
[20:11] <Vanilla__> "Who exactly seeks you out?"
[20:11] <Albin> "You mean your... how did you name them... cousins?"
[20:12] <~illcushion> She bites her lip, some flesh falling off then scurrying back up to her feet. "They... the Elders."
[20:14] <Albin> "Who are they?"
[20:14] <Vanilla__> "And these elders or whatever you call them will find you if you get out of here?"
[20:15] <Roy_> Boy, if you need help avoiding elders, you should just stick with me. The one back in the village didn't even know who I was!
[20:16] * Roy_ gives a nervous laugh
[20:17] <~illcushion> The shoggoth looks to Roy. "Oh... perhaps I should take you up on that offer." she says.
[20:18] <~illcushion> Stella stands up. "Well, I don't care about any Elders, sorry. I just want to get out of this creepy cave now, if that's fine with everyone."
[20:19] * Roy_ puts his hands up "O-oh, well, first maybe you should tell us what kind'a guys these elders are."
[20:20] <Erwin-> "Yeah I think things have calmed down enough." Erwin stands. "I'm gonna go have a look outside real quick." He departs.
[20:21] <~illcushion> The shoggoth pouts. "Well... they're a race above mine. They exist in every plane... any lower class shoggoth is raised by them, for the most part." She shakes her head. "Declining an Elder's request leads to being exiled, then executed."
[20:21] * Vanilla__ mutters "What's up with Roy and putting his hands up so much?"
[20:21] <MackSwain> "What request did you decline?"
[20:21] <Albin> "I'm sorry to ask that, but does that mean we angered them by helping you?"
[20:21] <~illcushion> "Elimination of existance in this plane."
[20:22] <MackSwain> "You could have pulled that off?"
[20:23] <Roy_> Wait, what? You mean, all of existence? Like, everybody here?
[20:23] <Vanilla__> "Elimination of existence? What in the good name of Illias..."
[20:24] <~illcushion> She shakes her head. "They took out all my eyes... except for one. They told me it was so that I could see everyone I care about be killed. Before they could end me, I escaped... and wound up here."
[20:25] <Albin> "Did we seriously just got into a fight between demons from another dimension?"
[20:25] <Albin> "That's it. I'm out."
[20:25] * Albin steps away.
[20:25] <Vanilla__> "Er, just how many eyes did you have before they were so ruthless as to gouge them all out?"
[20:26] <~illcushion> "... You're a pervert, aren't you?" she blushes then covers her face with her hands.
[20:26] <MackSwain> "Vanilla you pervert"
[20:27] <~illcushion> Stella raises an eyebrow. "I... huh." she flatly declares.
[20:27] <Roy_> Wait, wait. So does that mean they're sending someone else to finish wiping out... existence?
[20:28] <Vanilla__> "I was just asking because Stefania mentioned something about demons with multiple eyes damn it!"
[20:28] <~illcushion> The shoggoth puts a hand behind her back. "Elimination is but a single step. One burst of energy. Then, a gust of wind... and desolation."
[20:29] <Roy_> If it's that simple, why haven't they already done it?
[20:29] <~illcushion> She shrugs. "They probably already have."
[20:30] <~illcushion> Stella facepalms. "Agh, this is pointless... Erwin, wait up, I'm coming with you!" she says as she runs from the room.
[20:30] * Roy_ feels around his body "But... I'm still here."
[20:30] <Vanilla__> "I'm frankly sure I still exist so I can't quite understand what you mean by that."
[20:31] <~illcushion> The shoggoth sticks her tongue out. "Don't worry, you wouldn't understand... but, still." She stands up straight, her back still to the wall and no emotions visible on her face. "You promised to help me leave... didn't you?"
[20:33] <Vanilla__> "Well, uh yeah suppose I did."
[20:33] <Vanilla__> "I'm not quite sure how to go about doing that without you getting killed though."
[20:34] <~illcushion> Her face shows a smile. "I do" she says, then begins slowly walking towards Vanilla.
[20:35] * Vanilla__ is unsure what to make of this. "You mind sharing how?"
[20:35] <~illcushion> She stops walking and turns to look to Roy. "Leave", she says.
[20:36] <Roy_> Oh, uh, okay...
[20:36] * Roy_ hustles out of there
[20:37] <~illcushion> She resumes her slow walk. "I'll... mind sharing..." she says. She giggles ominously.
[20:38] <~illcushion> Vanilla is assaulted with a sudden RESOLVE ROLL.

[20:39] <~illcushion> Vanilla's head starts to hurt and he falls over backwards. The shoggoth looks at him with a wide smile on her face, still walking towards him.

[21:00] <~illcushion> The dragon girls yawn. "Me and Lucia are kinda getting tired... can we go sleep at the village or something?" says the wyvern.

[21:01] <Vanilla__> "Guessh I could use a good night's rest as well."
[21:02] <~illcushion> The bear girl stands up and flexes he arms. "Aw-RIIGHT!" she roars before carrying the dragon girls, who are shouting yay all the while.

[21:02] * Vanilla__ tries to follow briskly but stumbles a bit from time to time.

[21:04] <~illcushion> At the village, the elder waits for them near the town square. He appears concerned.

[21:05] * Vanilla__ focuses on collecting his thoughts and chugs the water in his waterskin.
[21:06] <~illcushion> "Ah... heroes." He clears his throat. "The grizzly lady from before came by and told me what happened..." he casts a glance at Vittoria before looking back at Erwin. "I must apologize for what happened. I take full responsability for what the knights of Umbra did!" he says, before groveling at Erwin's feet.
[21:07] * Vanilla__ grumbles "'Course they were the knights of that damn retard king..."
[21:08] <MackSwain> "Umbra..."
[21:09] <MackSwain> "I believe my home kingdom is still officially at war with them"
[21:09] <Erwin-> "I'll forgive you for this." Erwin crosses his arms. "If you mark on a map where the knights are from."
[21:10] <Vanilla__> "It's a kingdom 'round theshe parts. It's the kingdom of "Raze" technically now."
[21:10] * Vanilla__ thinks "Damn words."

[21:11] <~illcushion> The elder brings his head up. "Yes, yes... the kingdom of Umbra, which was changed to Raze at some point... um, it's down to the south of here. Around a week-long trip there for you youthful things..." he says.
[21:11] <Vanilla__> "Basically the king's a bigger idiot than Erwin and it got renamed."
[21:12] <MackSwain> "Rulers of kingdoms are generally idiots."
[21:13] <~illcushion> Erica flies in front of the group. "We can go there AND we can pass by Noemi! This is GREAT!"
[21:13] <Vanilla__> "You anxious to get back?"
[21:13] <Vanilla__> "Rulers can be mighty respectable sometimes."
[21:13] <Erwin-> "Then that's out next target! I'm ready to go but you light weights probably need rest."

[21:14] <Albin> "Yes, Erica, that's a great idea! We can get into more trouble by going into the place from where people who almost killed the thing that's inside Vanilla now came from!"
[21:14] <~illcushion> Stella raises an eyebrow. "Um, who's inside Vanilla?" she says, raising her hand.
[21:14] <Vanilla__> "Any of you all mine explainin' what the hell is inside me?"
[21:14] * Erwin- whispers back Stella. "She's inside Vanilla's brain or something! It's like they got married or whatever."

[21:15] * Albin pulls Vanilla aside, towards a barrel full of water.
[21:15] <~illcushion> She pouts. "Wow... Marriage is scary..."
[21:15] <Albin> "Here, look."
[21:15] <Albin> "Your left eye. Recognise it?"
[21:16] * Vanilla__ thinks "I feel like he mentioned this before too, damn I'm still groggy."
[21:16] * Roy_ places his goblin puppet aside Vanilla's shoulder. It looks him in the eye and says in a squeaky voice "The fleshy girl is inside you!"
[21:16] <Vanilla__> "What in Illias's good green earth?"
[21:16] <Erwin-> "I think it's a little different for Shoggoths."
[21:16] <~illcushion> Vanilla's reflection changes to the Shoggoth's before changing back to his regular reflection.
[21:16] <MackSwain> "Okay  I definitly didn't need to see that
[21:17] <Vanilla__> "I need a stiff drink."
[21:17] <~illcushion> Vittoria lets out a mighty fucking yawn. "Alright, sorry, I'm taking the little kids to bed. Geezer, which way to the inn?" she asks the Elder who is just kinda staring at the fairy flying around.
[21:19] <~illcushion> The elder points to a rather cozy-looking building while staring at the fairy, and Vittoria waves goodbye to the group while carrying the dragon girls.
[21:19] <MackSwain> "Time ta go to bed"
[21:19] * MackSwain walks to the inn
[21:19] * Albin enters the inn.
[21:19] <Vanilla__> "I already know which way the tavern is, I'm going to go drink one tall glass of stout and then go to inn to sleep."
[21:20] <~illcushion> Stella yawns and rests her head on Erwin's shoulder. "We should go too... right?"
[21:20] <Erwin-> "I suppose! It's no fun if I go by myself." Erwin heads to the Inn.
[21:21] * Vanilla__ does as he said.
[21:21] * Roy_ follows vanilla "Hey, hey. Need some company?"
[21:22] <Vanilla__> "That reminds me kid, I picked something up for you a while back."
[21:22] * Vanilla__ takes the two dolls he grabbed from the armory from his pack and presents them to Roy.

[21:22] <Roy_> Oh! Cool!
[21:22] <Vanilla__> "Figured I'd take 'em for you."
[21:23] * Roy_ takes the two and inspects them (+0)
[21:23] <~illcushion> Most of the group check in with the human innkeeper, who lets them have two rooms for free. One of the rooms has a double bed while the other one has a single bed.
[21:23] * Erwin- calls dibs on the double bed. Hero dibs.
[21:23] <MackSwain> "dibs on the single bed thank you"
[21:24] * MackSwain collapses in the single bed
[21:25] * Roy_ places the two dolls in his pack "They're pretty nice. Well made. Thanks a bunch."
[21:25] <~illcushion> The bear girl and dragon girls pout. "What the hell is this...?" says Vittoria, looking at the two rather small rooms. She turns to the innkeeper, who is now hiding behind the front desk.
[21:26] <~illcushion> "Hey! We're... one, two, like one million people here. We need more rooms!" she says, slamming her huge paw on the desk.
[21:26] * Vanilla__ goes to tavern and drinks and then heads to the inn.
[21:26] <MackSwain> "Hey, one of you all can bunk with erwin, he has a double"
[21:26] <Erwin-> "Heeey calm down Vittoria! All the girls can come and share with Stella and I." Erwin beams. "No harm in that right?"
[21:27] * Roy_ goes to the tavern, tries to order milk and gets laughed at back to the inn
[21:27] <~illcushion> Stella frowns. "Hey, w-" she says before being interrupted by a stampede of girls running into Erwin's room.

[21:28] <~illcushion> Erica follows Albin outside, clinging to his hat. Vittoria is still trying to terrorize the innkeeper for more rooms.

[21:28] * Albin heads outside and after finding a suitable place, uses his sheepgirl cloth to make a tent.

[21:29] <Vanilla__> "Just sayin' hi, by Illias did that shoggoth business spook you that much?"
[21:29] * Albin stops working on the tent.
[21:29] <Albin> "Look, i don't know how you see this."
[21:30] <Albin> "But seriously, she said she's being hunted down by incredibly powerful beings."
[21:30] <Albin> "AND, her quest was to destroy our plane of existence."
[21:30] <Vanilla__> "I plan to sleep on it."
[21:30] <Vanilla__> "Well she refused hadn't she?"
[21:30] <Vanilla__> "And anyways I thought the moment she was out she'd get killed."
[21:30] <Albin> "Well she is out, now."
[21:31] <Vanilla__> "It's all fine for now anyways, if something happens you bill me the damages alright?"
[21:31] <Albin> "I... i just can't take it anymore. I'm too young for all this."
[21:31] * Albin looks down and sniffs.

[21:34] <Albin> "Probably the same reasone i keep this dagger."

[21:34] * Vanilla__ nods his head and enters the inn.
[21:34] * Albin stutters.

[21:35] * Albin runs towards Vanilla and hugs him.

[21:36] * Albin steps back, all teared up.
[21:36] <Albin> "Goodnight."
[21:36] * Albin goes back to setting up his tent.
[21:36] * Vanilla__ says "Night" and goes into the inn.
[21:37] * Vanilla__ goes to look for a bed in the rooms given to the party.
[21:37] <~illcushion> Vanilla notices two dragon girls cuddling up to the bear girl, who is sleeping outside the two rooms.
[21:38] * Vanilla__ temporarily thinks the brats are a bit cute and heads into the left room.
[21:38] * Roy_ stumbles out some bushes after going to take a piss or something and heads into the inn
[21:38] <~illcushion> Vanilla and Roy head into a room with Mack sleeping on the single bed. There's a lot of room to sleep on the floor, at least.
[21:39] * Vanilla__ thinks "Fuck sleeping on the floor."
[21:39] * Erwin- is trying to remove girls from his room. "Heeey heeey heey! I meant the monster girls that are with us not every girl in the village! Gosh!"
[21:39] * Vanilla__ attempts to sneak up on Mack and push him off the bed. (+3)
[21:39] * Albin lies down in the tent.
[21:40] <~illcushion> A sudden change of atmosphere happens in the next room over as an explosion appears to happen. A bunch of human girls fly out of the room while a lizard girl screams "MIIIIIIINE!"
[21:40] <~illcushion> Vanilla successfully pushes Mack off the bed without waking him up.
[21:40] * Vanilla__ crashes on the bed and falls asleep.
[21:40] <Erwin-> "Yes that thing she just said!"
[21:41] <~illcushion> Erica rests on Albin's chest. "Big bro Albin? Are you okay? You look sad..." says the little fairy, obviously concerned.
[21:41] <Albin> "Kind of, but i guess it's good now."
[21:42] * Albin pets her hair with one finger.
[21:42] <Albin> "Are you allright? You've been pretty shaken up in the mine."
[21:42] * Roy_ shrugs and sets his cot on the floor and sleeps or whatever
[21:43] <~illcushion> The fairy rests on Albin's chest. "Yeah... I'm more worried about you though. You looked like you were really sad there!" she says.
[21:44] <Albin> "I'm not a happy guy, you know."
[21:45] * Vanilla__ 's dreams are a bit different today
[21:46] * Mack_Swain is uncomfortable for some reason
[21:46] <~illcushion> Erica gives Albin a kiss on the cheek. "Hey, don't say that... you're gonna make ME sad. I'll think of some way to cheer you up, okay?" she says, flying out of the tent.
[21:47] * Albin rubs his cheek and smiles. He then turns on the side and closes his eyes.
[21:47] <~illcushion> THE NEXT DAY..........................................
[21:48] <Mack_Swain> "Ugh"
[21:48] <Mack_Swain> "Why am I on the floor?"
[21:48] <~illcushion> The party awakens to some sort of ruckus going on outside the inn. It seems to be still pretty early.
[21:48] * Albin pops his head out of the tent.
[21:49] <Albin> "Wha-what's happening?"
[21:49] * Erwin- swiftly awakens when his ruckus senses are alerted. "I sense a ruckus!" He goes to investigate.
[21:49] <~illcushion> Albin notices a bunch of goblin girls and a rather tall human in a swanky suit speaking to the village elder.
[21:49] <Vanilla__> "You got up and told me I deserved the bed in your sleep Mack."
[21:50] * Vanilla__ gets up with a yawn, clearly refreshed from the comfortable mattress.
[21:50] * Roy_ peeks out the inn window to see what's going on
[21:50] <Roy_> Hey, guys... we got goblins
[21:50] * Albin listens in the best he can (fated, +6 stealth)
[21:51] <Vanilla__> "More weird stuff keeps on happening I suppose."
[21:51] * Vanilla__ gets up and goes to exit the inn.
[21:51] * Erwin- grins in excitement as he approaches the talkers. "Ohhh wow! Goblins! Hey there guys I'm Erwin the hero! Do you wanna be friends?"
[21:51] <~illcushion> Albin closes in on the meeting and hears the words "railroad", "train" and "steam" coming up often.
[21:52] <Mack_Swain> "I swear to god I'm going to knock that shoggoth right out of you vanilla"
[21:52] <~illcushion> Everyone turns their heads towards Erwin. The man in the suit looks at him then turns right back to the elder. "So we can count on you, correct?"

[21:55] <~illcushion> The elder looks a bit confused at the man in the suit. The man then pulls a bag and hands it to him. "This should cover the expenses for paving the way. We'd appreciate it, really." The goblin girls all look at the elder with puppy eyes.
[21:55] <Mack_Swain> "Who is this guy?"
[21:55] <Vanilla__> "No idea, why not go up and ask?"
[21:56] <Mack_Swain> "Excuse me but who are you?"
[21:56] <~illcushion> The elder suddenly notices Mack, Erwin and even Albin staring straight at him. "Ah! Heroes, hello. This nice man was telling me about some technological advancement he and his... company... invented."
[21:56] * Albin streches, he just woke up, after all.
[21:56] <Albin> "What is it?"
[21:57] <Albin> "Good morning, by the way."
[21:57] <~illcushion> The man in the suit turns his head to the group. "Heroes, huh? Hello, my name is Bates. I was showing the nice man about a technological wonder. A steam-powered method of transportation that's all the rage in the capital."
[21:58] <Vanilla__> "How in the name of Illias does steam transport anything but boiled water?"
[21:58] * Erwin- shrugs. "I like walking."
[21:58] * Roy_ sneaks up behind one of the goblins and talks to it with the puppet "Hey, what's going on, fellow goblin?"
[21:58] <~illcushion> The man raises an eyebrow. "Steam-powered. It uses steam as power. Jeez..." says the man, shrugging.
[21:59] <Vanilla__> "What I mean is how in heck does it accomplish that? You should know yes?"
[21:59] <~illcushion> The goblin is absolutely fucking enchanted by this magical ventriloquist sorcery of Roy's.
[22:00] <Erwin-> "It's safe for the environment right? It would be bad if you destroyed the homes of any monster girls with it."
[22:00] <Erwin-> "Bad for you specifically."
[22:00] <~illcushion> The man looks to his left. "My associates were the ones who invented it, really. I am simply the one in charge of getting it to places that matter, like this nice village of... uh, what's its name again...?"
[22:01] * Vanilla__ mutters "This guy is just lame."
[22:02] <~illcushion> Bates adjusts his suit's collar and looks at Erwin. "Of course it's safe! It's completely natural! I mean, it's made out of things that came out of the earth, so... yeah, natural."
[22:03] <Albin> "We've had problems with things that can be found in mines, actually."
[22:03] <Albin> "But steam sounds natural enough."
[22:03] <Vanilla__> "So what exactly are you at a backwater town, no offense mr. elder, like this for anyways gates?"
[22:03] <Vanilla__> "Or, er, bates."
[22:03] * Erwin- raises an eyebrow. "You sure?" +1 empathy for lie detection.
[22:04] <~illcushion> The man shrugs. "We believe the town would benefit much from it, and we've heard of its magnificent quantity of sheep girl wool it trades with a nearby... city."
[22:04] <Vanilla__> "You mean the monster folk city?"
[22:05] * Roy_ asks the goblin with the puppet "Hey, what you guys here for? You guys make steam thing?"
[22:05] <~illcushion> Erwin can absolutely tell that the man is 100% telling the truth; steam is like water but less liquid, and also metal is made out of metal.
[22:06] <Erwin-> "Well this seems totally legit! Good luck with the business Bates!" Erwin takes a look around the village. "Now we have a journey to start!"
[22:06] <~illcushion> The goblin touches the puppet. "Wow... yes, we made the steam thing once! But we didn't need it, so we gave it to the humans and..." she trails off.
[22:07] * Albin looks at the scene and decides that there's nothing of interest for him. He packs up his tent and goes to the general store to resupply.
[22:07] <~illcushion> Albin stops at the door when he realizes that the store owner is a lady who wanted to polish his arrow.
[22:08] * Roy_ 's puppet asks the goblin "and what, friend?"
[22:09] * Albin enters anyway, herbs aren't going to buy themselves.
[22:09] * Mack_Swain follows albin in
[22:09] <Erwin-> "Oh wait I needed to do that thing I said I would do!" Erwin heads off to the village gurls house he promised he would visit.
[22:09] <Albin> "Oh, hello."
[22:09] <~illcushion> The elder nods to Erwin. "Yes, sir baits... er, we have a lot of wool cloth from way back, but we don't particularly need that whole stuff with the... um, steamy things. We're happy to keep to ourselves, but thank you for the offer." The elder gives back the bag full of gold coins to Bates, then goes into his house.
[22:10] * Vanilla__ watches Erwin go off to the girls house.
[22:10] <~illcushion> Bates shrugs then mutters something about wasting time, then leaves with his group of goblins. The goblin Roy was talking to looks sad.
[22:10] * Vanilla__ mutters "Doesn't that idiot know that's wrong when he has a girlfriend?"
[22:10] <Mack_Swain> "Steam powered transport huh..."
[22:11] <~illcushion> The general store clerk seems to not be present.
[22:11] * Roy_ has the puppet wave bye "see you later!"
[22:11] <Albin> "I've heard him saying something about a... Train? And Railroads."
[22:11] <Albin> "Whatever that means.
[22:11] <Mack_Swain> "I've heard of such a proposal"
[22:11] <Vanilla__> "Well Roy, I'm heading to general store as well. Come if you want."
[22:11] * Vanilla__ heads to general store.
[22:11] <~illcushion> The goblin waves goodbye to Roy('s puppet).
[22:11] <Mack_Swain> "But the iron parts and precision required, and the fuel, make it extremely impractical"
[22:11] <Roy_> sure
[22:12] <~illcushion> Erwin doesn't quite remember where the house of the girl he met earlier is, so he just kinda wanders around town for a while.
[22:12] <Albin> "Well, i guess he's doing this."
[22:12] <Albin> "Anyway, we came here to shop, didn't we?"
[22:12] * Roy_ heads to the store as well, after packing his goblin away
[22:12] * Vanilla__ enters the general store and notices the clerk is not present.
[22:12] <Vanilla__> "The clerk go to get you guys something?"
[22:12] * Albin tries to alert the shopkeeper by knocking on the desk.
[22:13] <Albin> "She's not there from the beginning. Good morning, by the way."
[22:13] <~illcushion> Erica flies out of Albin's hat. "I don't think she's here, bro Albin! You could just shop and leave the payment on the table. That's how they do it at Noemi... sometimes..."
[22:13] <Vanilla__> "Mornin'"
[22:13] * Erwin- stops wandering. "I think I might be lost." He announces to himself.
[22:13] <Mack_Swain> "Hey vanilla, what do you think about this steam transport thing?"
[22:13] <Albin> "Ughh... i guess that might be the thing to do."
[22:13] * Albin wanders off to the shelves where herbs are kept.
[22:14] <Vanilla__> "I think it's some fancy gizmo those goblins made and that gates or baits guy or whatever is just using them to sell the idea."
[22:14] <Albin> "How was your night anyway, Erica? I didn't notice you coming back."
[22:14] * Albin picks up a vial of red dust.
[22:14] <Albin> "This'll do nicely."
[22:15] <~illcushion> The fairy flies in front of Albin. "Oh... well, I went to say hi to an old friend at the big tree, then I came back and slept with you! You're really cute when you sleep, bro Albin!"
[22:15] <Roy_> Yeah. The goblins made it. Said they didn't need it and gave it to that bates guy.
[22:15] <Mack_Swain> "It's a pointless invention"
[22:15] <Mack_Swain> "Sailing ships or even horses are way more efficiant"
[22:15] <Vanilla__> "You mind explaining just what powering something with boiled water is anyways?"
[22:15] * Albin becomes slightly red on his face, but then smiles.
[22:16] <~illcushion> Erwin runs into Stella, who seems to be scratching her head and looking for something.
[22:16] <Mack_Swain> "Boiling water expands and pushes levers, its' complicated"
[22:16] <Mack_Swain> "Basically you burn fuel to make a wheel move"
[22:16] <Albin> "Hey, mind getting that root over there? It's too high for me."
[22:16] <Erwin-> "Did you uh...get lost? I did." Erwin chuckles.
[22:17] * Mack_Swain grabs the root
[22:17] <Vanilla__> "And water's that fuel?"
[22:17] <Vanilla__> "Huh, I've got no idea what to make of that."
[22:17] * Albin grabs an assortment of several vials and dried leaves."
[22:17] <Mack_Swain> "Nah, fuel boils the water"
[22:17] <~illcushion> "Oh... yeah, a little bit. I thought I felt like you were about to do something wrong, but then when I woke up, I didn't feel it anymore!" says the lizard girl.
[22:17] <Mack_Swain> "It's really impractical though."
[22:17] <Vanilla__> "The hell is the point of that then?"
[22:17] <Vanilla__> "Guess there isn't much point I'm guessing?"
[22:17] <Albin> "U-um thanks, Mack, i was asking Erica, but nevermind."
[22:18] * Vanilla__ goes to pick up dried meats which he has a weird craving for
[22:18] <Roy_> Guess that's why the goblins didn't want it
[22:18] <Erwin-> "Well that's good! I really want to get going on our journey already!" Erwin frowns. "Those other guys are always so slow."
[22:18] <~illcushion> Stella shrugs and rests her head on Erwin's shoulder as they walk. "I don't mind... I just wanna be with you, Erwin! But I think mother has some other plans, to be honest..."
[22:19] * Albin packs up the herbs and leaves carefully counted amount of coins on the desk.
[22:19] * Vanilla__ notices his arms are full of dried meat and puts some back. He mutters "The hell was I wanting that much dried meat for?"
[22:19] <Erwin-> "Eh? What kind of plans? Is she going to kill me or something?" Erwin frowns even harder. "I kinda like being alive."
[22:19] * Vanilla__ goes and grabs the regular supplies.
[22:20] * Albin says: "Oh yes, the food!" He proceedes to take some dried meat and fruit, leaving even more coins on the table.
[22:20] <~illcushion> Stella shakes her head and punches Erwin's shoulder. "No, of course not! But she wants me to look over the stronghold, and I might not be able to travel with you for much longer..." She sighs. "It sucks!"
[22:21] <Albin> "Well, that better last. I'm all out of money now."
[22:21] * Vanilla__ leaves an appropriate amount of money on the table with grumbling a bit about his level of wealth.
[22:21] <Vanilla__> "Well shit, I forgot that I had business with the blacksmith. We brought him back right?"
[22:22] * Vanilla__ rushes out the store after packing his stuff over to the blacksmith's house.
[22:22] <Erwin-> "That does suck! You're old enough to make your own decisions Stella!" Erwin clenches a fist. "If you don't want to do something you can just say so! Life is about doing what YOU think is best."
[22:22] * Albin shrugs and exits the store.
[22:23] <Vanilla__> "Hey! Mr. blacksmith, I've got some work for you!"
[22:23] * Roy_ grabs some matches and some lamp oil, and I guess some food or something, leaves some money, exits the store
[22:23] <~illcushion> Stella and Erwin run into Vanilla, Albin and Erica, which is an insane coincidence.
[22:23] <Albin> "Hello!"
[22:24] <~illcushion> A man with a huge beard opens the door, groggily rubbing his eyes. "Ah, what is it, so early in the m... m-miss Alka?"
[22:24] <Vanilla__> "Mornin', I was hoping you could help me replace the blade on an old sword with a newer blade."
[22:24] <Vanilla__> "What's this about Alka or whatever?"
[22:25] <~illcushion> The man blinks a couple of times. "Oh... sorry, son, I thought... nevermind. Yes, I can help you out, but it'll take time."
[22:25] <Mack_Swain> "Uh vanilla"
[22:25] <Mack_Swain> "I think your half shoggoth now"
[22:25] <Vanilla__> "That's ridiculous, she's just living in my eyeball or something."
[22:26] * Vanilla__ takes out his dad's old sword and the new blade.
[22:26] <Vanilla__> "This here old blade handle is the important part."
[22:26] <Vanilla__> "Be careful with it."
[22:27] <~illcushion> The blacksmith takes both swords. He holds them, as to appraise them. "Don'tcha worry, boy, it's been fifteen years since I've broken a blade handle."
[22:27] <Vanilla__> "Alright, I've got trust in your skill. Much obliged."
[22:28] <~illcushion> "Now, if you don't mind, I'll ask you to wait out here. I can't work when people are watching me." The man goes back into his house, locking the door.
[22:28] * Vanilla__ munches on some dried meat outside the house.
[22:28] <~illcushion> About an hour passes while literally nothing of interest transpires (which sounds vaguely like this session but whatever).
[22:29] * Mack_Swain approaches the chief
[22:29] <Mack_Swain> "Say, have you gotten any new dynamite shipments wihle we were away?"
[22:29] <~illcushion> The door to the blacksmith's house opens and the man hands the swords to Vanilla, their blades exchanged without a hitch.
[22:30] <~illcushion> The elder raises an eyebrow at Mack. "Er, no, and I don't think we will be... after that little event, it's fair to say we won't be using that mine anymore." He shakes his head. "Don't know what's gonna happen to the town, but... eh, it'll survive."
[22:30] * Erwin- is tired of waiting and starts to just fuck off into the wilds at a reasonable pace so the others can catch up.
[22:30] * Vanilla__ 's cheeks loosen a bit when he sees the new condition of the sword.
[22:31] <Vanilla__> "Thanks much. What do I owe ya'?"
[22:31] <~illcushion> The blacksmith flashes a smile at Vanilla. "It's nothing, really. You remind me of someone, and for some reason, I feel almost proud to help you out. It's my pleasure, really."
[22:31] <~illcushion> The man extends a hand towards Vanilla.
[22:32] * Vanilla__ grasps his hand and shakes. "Well, who knows just why that might be."
[22:32] <~illcushion> "Alright then, see you later, boy." The man bows and turns back to his house.
[22:33] <Albin> "It looks really nice, Vanilla. I guess we're all done now, right guys?"
[22:33] <Vanilla__> "Yup, lets get the hell outta here."
[22:34] * Albin departs from this place.
[22:34] * Vanilla__ follows Albin.
[22:34] <~illcushion> Vittoria and the dragon girls catch up to the group. "Hey, the old geezer said I'd find you here. Stella, the kids and I will be heading back to Noemi... also, where's Stella?"

[22:35] <~illcushion> Erica flies in front of Albin. "Hey! Hey, bro Albin! Listen, if it's okay, there's a little detour I'd like to make before we head to that kingdom of Embrace... or whatever it's called."

[23:37] <~illcushion> Stella takes a close look at the statues. "I don't know where you're getting golems from, these look like people who got turned to stone."

[23:38] * Albin looks at the statues.

[23:38] * Roy_ inspects the statues "people turned to stone?"
[23:38] <Erwin-> "Like with magic? That sounds pretty impressive." Erwin looks around. "Yo! If someone turned these people to stone they better come out and apologise right this second! I'm Erwin the hero and I do not approve!"

[23:40] <~illcushion> "Oh... hello there." says a lady hiding behind a tree. Due to the fog, you can barely make out her figure, but it's definitely a lady. Yes.

[23:41] <Erwin-> "Did you turn these people to stone? Be honest."
[23:41] <~illcushion> "Maybe I did. Would you like to do something about that?" she says.

[23:42] <Erwin-> "Yeah I would." Erwin steps forwards. "And do you know what I'm gonna do?"

[23:45] <~illcushion> "... Wow, so many men have gathered up here... are my eggs really this valuable?" she says.
[23:45] * Erwin- points a finger at the figure dramatically. "I'm gonna become friends with yo-wait what? I don't want any eggs."

[23:46] <~illcushion> "Yeah, they wanted to steal my eggs! It wasn't very nice of them." She sighs. "I don't get it, really..."

[23:47] <Vanilla__> "Is this harpy from the village? The village is in a foggy swamp?"

[23:47] <~illcushion> Stella approaches the harpy and pats her on the head. "I didn't know harpies could turn people to stone! I thought that was just for the gorgons or... whatever they're called."

[23:49] <~illcushion> "My village... wait, you're going to attack the big tree, aren't you! I won't allow that! Sylphy put a lot of trust in me!" says the harpy, raising her wings up in the air and puffing out.

[23:49] <Albin> "Hey, hey, nobody says nothing about attacking anything."
[23:49] <Vanilla__> "Nah, there's just a fairy who likes to hide under that kid's hat who wanted to come here."

[02:25] <~illcushion> The Sylph straightens her back and takes a closer look at the feather. She then blows on it, and the feather glows a green color. It changes from green to silver, then to a much lighter shade of green.

[02:25] <Mack_Swain> "I'm starting to see the synergy between sylph and erwin making sense"
[02:25] * Albin is fucking mesmerized.
[02:26] <~illcushion> It consistently stays that same shade as she passes it back to Albin (who fumbles with the feather).
[02:26] <vanilla_> "If Slyph being in Erwin can do things like that gust of wind I wonder what the demon girl in me can do."
[02:26] * Albin puts the thing back in his pocket.

[02:29] <~illcushion> The Sylph's hand and Albin's wing meet, and the wing begins to glow green. It then shifts back to a regular human arm, although with no sleeve.

[02:30] <~illcushion> Erica then kicks his other ear. "DRUGS ARE BAD!"
[02:30] <Albin> "O-of course. Thank you!"

[03:10] * Albin scratches his head and gets up, to take the Steelfeather in his hands and look at it.
