Kiran and Allyah technically have a second date

[5:34 PM] SwaDM: Oh gods. What's this? What is going on? Why was everything so loud? Kiran has been in a social gathering for hours. Now. He should be working! Why isn't he working? Oh, right. Commemorating the fact that the world was saved and whatnot. Also Allyah. Allyah is probably fairly important.

Commemorations have most certainly gone on through the night - albeit as said night grows deeper, some have finally left them for some much needed rest. Mostly the really young - or the really old. Albeit Zander and quite a few of his goblins are still active, they have by now left the stage - with whatever music being performed now being more easy of listening.
[5:36 PM] SwaDM: This has also caused the party to gradually move on to their own things. Blake's probably either sleeping, or doing more investigations. Maybe. Lous and Linda are nowher to be immediately seen. Sandra - maybe with the goblins? Unsurprisingly, Arden hasn't showed up, either.

Kiran will find himself just returning with another bottle of wine, by Allyah's behest - as she sits upon a circular seating next to a table that still hosts a few bits of finger food, and wine glasses.
[5:37 PM] SwaDM: By now, Kiran also probably has managed to patch up the small holes atop his boots due to the rather fumbled dancing of his partner, coupled with the wickedly sharp talons she has.
[5:39 PM] Kiran: sits down, forehead shining slightly still from the exertion of dancing.
[5:39 PM] Kiran: "There is an unbelievable amount of wine. I have no idea where they got all of it."
[5:40 PM] SwaDM: Allyah seems to refocus her attention back upon Kiran, seemingly having been looking at a small dot next to the table. "Ah. Well."
[5:40 PM] SwaDM: "Had I to guess, they likely had it shipped transdimensionally."
[5:40 PM] SwaDM: "A fair ammount of them appear to boast the Fagian language - which would not exist here, I would imagine."
[5:41 PM] Kiran: nods.
[5:41 PM] Kiran: "It took me a while to start picking up. But thankfully it shares some commonalities with- well, common."
[5:41 PM] SwaDM: "Mm. It is possible to trace a fair few languages to other sources."
[5:42 PM] SwaDM: "It is likely that it, Common, and a fair few others originate from a "source" language, so to speak."
[5:43 PM] Kiran: "I wonder which it was. If so many of the contemporary races came from Taran influence, I wonder if the language is similarly rooted. What's the language shared among them again? Aklo? Aboleth?"
[5:44 PM] SwaDM: "You'd call it Aklo. But I'm not sure, Aklo certainly does not sound like either of those."
[5:44 PM] Kiran: looks a little contemplative, before opening the wine and pouring.
[5:44 PM] Kiran: "So, you knew about this?"
[5:44 PM] Kiran: "The party, I mean."
[5:45 PM] SwaDM: "Oh - yes."
[5:45 PM] SwaDM: "I suppose I must admit that I asked to come with you for that exact reason."
[5:45 PM] SwaDM: "To keep everyone informed via magical messaging so that they could set the party at the right time."
[5:45 PM] Kiran: holds a hand to his heart.
[5:45 PM] Kiran: "And to think, you told my friends it was to spend time with me."
[5:45 PM] SwaDM: "Well, it was a convenient excuse, and not an untrue one..."
[5:46 PM] Kiran: laughs - "Well, I'm glad you did - for both reasons."
[5:46 PM] SwaDM: "It was a pleasant trip, yes."
[5:47 PM] SwaDM: "One that will hopefully grant some further answers overtime..."
[5:47 PM] Kiran: nods.
[5:47 PM] Kiran: "I'm curious what will be learned."
[5:47 PM] SwaDM: "The Psychopomps..."
[5:48 PM] SwaDM: "They are both the simplest and most complicated of outsiders, to understand."
[5:48 PM] SwaDM: "I cannot say I am able to predict anything."
[5:49 PM] Kiran: "Simplest because of their responsibility, I assume - but why complicated?"
[5:49 PM] SwaDM: "They do not see life as you do."
[5:49 PM] SwaDM: "What that one spoke of - the Psychopomp that "saved" the children, so to speak?"
[5:49 PM] Kiran: "Yes."
[5:50 PM] SwaDM: "A Morbai."
[5:50 PM] SwaDM: "They are near on embodiments of plague and sickness."
[5:50 PM] SwaDM: "Their purpose is to manage plagues."
[5:50 PM] SwaDM: "Key word - manage."
[5:50 PM] SwaDM: "This means that they either create or control them."
[5:51 PM] SwaDM: "They will extinguish the life of many mortals, should that be deemed necessary, while on the same hand, they may save them, instead."
[5:51 PM] Kiran: considers this.
[5:51 PM] Kiran: "Perhaps they felt that the plague had done enough. No more, no less."
[5:52 PM] SwaDM: "Of course."
[5:52 PM] SwaDM: "But what I mean is - their sole intent is to manage those things through their perception."
[5:52 PM] SwaDM: "Simple. Yet complicated - for it is impossible to discern how they reach these conclusions due to the radically different methods of approach they may have."
[5:53 PM] Kiran: "I wonder if that much will be explained, or whether all we'll learn is what happened."
[5:53 PM] SwaDM: "I don't know."
[5:54 PM] SwaDM: "And lest you not forget, I am a byproduct of said plague, aswell. In a way, I am a loose end."
[5:54 PM] Kiran: frowns.
[5:55 PM] SwaDM: They take a sip from their glass, tilting their head slightly towards Kiran. "Oh, do not give me that look."
[5:55 PM] Kiran: "Forgive me. I was mentally swearing protection and/or vengeance."
[5:56 PM] SwaDM: "...Tsk, tsk."
[5:56 PM] SwaDM: "I suppose Linda was right."
[5:56 PM] Kiran: "Oh god."
[5:56 PM] SwaDM: "Men do tend to forget that their partners are not precisely defenseless..."
[5:57 PM] Kiran: laughs.
[5:57 PM] Kiran: "My feet will never let me forget it."
[5:57 PM] SwaDM: "Good."
[5:58 PM] SwaDM: Kiran will notice a subtle change upon Allyah's avian face - he's slowly being able to pick on them - but the faint raise of feathers close towards her beak - a smile.
[5:58 PM] SwaDM: "I am a goddess, Kiran."
[5:58 PM] SwaDM: "Don't worry too much about it."
[5:58 PM] Kiran: "I know. But I also would prefer to be at your side to face whatever you did."
[5:59 PM] SwaDM: "Mmm. Worry not, I will not exactly be seeking out trouble."
[5:59 PM] Kiran: "Having fought against a being with the abilities of Tara, I pity whoever comes to you seeking it."
[6:00 PM] SwaDM: "...  I do have a question."
[6:00 PM] Kiran: "Go ahead."
[6:00 PM] SwaDM: "Moving off of the whole fighting discussion, so to speak. But regarding who I am..."
[6:00 PM] SwaDM: "Are you truly comfortable with it?"
[6:01 PM] Kiran: "Yes. Why wouldn't I be?"
[6:01 PM] SwaDM: "It's...just a little bit difficult for me to put myself on your shoes, so to speak."
[6:02 PM] SwaDM: They briefly look off to the side, taking a sip from their wine again, speaking in a playful tone. "Plus, if this whole relationship business really does work out, I'd imagine demigod children would be quite a handful."
[6:03 PM] Kiran: looks momentarily off into the middle-distance, visions of unstoppable tiny beings with the knowledge of how to disassemble any childlock running through his mind.
[6:03 PM] Kiran: laughs quietly, then turns back to Allyah.
[6:04 PM] Kiran: "I- this is how I'm thinking of things."
[6:04 PM] SwaDM: "Go on."
[6:06 PM] Kiran: "You keep talking about who you are. But the things you're talking about aren't who you are. You're a goddess, yes. You're a Kriendyh, you're Tara, you're all these things, yes. But none of those things is who you are."
[6:07 PM] Kiran: "I'm good at building stuff. I'm short, I'm half-Helyrothian. I could've been a builder, or an architect, but I'm here trying to help people, even though I don't have to be. That's who I am."
[6:07 PM] Kiran: "I know who you are."
[6:07 PM] SwaDM: "A foot taller then you?"
[6:07 PM] Kiran: grins.
[6:07 PM] Kiran: "Exactly."
[6:07 PM] SwaDM: "...Stupid man. But that is fair logic, nonetheless."
[6:07 PM] SwaDM: "I apologize for the reflective identity musings, so to speak. I only do them to truly make sure this-..."
[6:07 PM] SwaDM: "No, I am who you truly want."
[6:08 PM] SwaDM: "I care about you, Kiran. And I do not want to hurt you. But if I won't..."
[6:08 PM] SwaDM: They reach their free hand over across the table, seeking to tap two of their taloned fingers upon the top of Kiran's hand.
[6:08 PM] SwaDM: "Then I want you."
[6:08 PM] Kiran: turns his hand over to take hers.
[6:09 PM] Kiran: "Glad to hear it. I've just been hoping."
[6:09 PM] Kiran: chuckles, smiling half to himself.
[6:09 PM] SwaDM: "Hoping for?"
[6:10 PM] Kiran: "That you felt the same."
[6:10 PM] SwaDM: They give a slight nod.
[6:10 PM] SwaDM: "...Of course, we still need to know eachother a lot more. Jokes aside, I am in no rush. I'd like to take things slowly. Discover ourselves bit by bit."
[6:10 PM] SwaDM: "But thusfar, I am happy with what i've seen."
[6:11 PM] Kiran: "I agree. This has been kind of a... deep discussion."
[6:11 PM] SwaDM: "That's the only kind of discussion worth having."
[6:12 PM] Kiran: "True. Though sometimes you need to take a little break and do something less serious."
[6:13 PM] SwaDM: "Oh, certainly."
[6:13 PM] SwaDM: "Which does bring me to my next point..."

[6:13 PM] SwaDM: "Yes. Truth be told, it is rather impressive."

[6:13 PM] Kiran: sits up a little straighter.

[6:14 PM] SwaDM: "See - you're not flushing beet red. You're certainly not stuttering. You've being far more to the point. It's rather interesting."
[6:14 PM] SwaDM: "You've become a stronger person, I would say."
[6:15 PM] SwaDM: "...Worry not, however. I will still not ask you to carry me. You're not that kind of strong, after all..."
[6:15 PM] Kiran: I wonder how strong the armour's tentacles are.
[6:15 PM] SwaDM: Spoilers : Probably a bit stronger then Kiran.

[6:19 PM] SwaDM: She stands herself upright, holding the wine glass in one hand, while grasping at Kiran's hand with the other.
[6:20 PM] Kiran: is, given her height, very likely pulled inexorably to his feet.
[6:20 PM] SwaDM: Quite literally. Why does she have to be so tall?
[6:20 PM] SwaDM: "...By the way. I know I tend to talk a bit too much."
[6:20 PM] SwaDM: "Has anything being going on through your head, while I've been talking it off with my worries?"
[6:20 PM] Kiran: "Oh it's okay. I talk a lot too."

[6:22 PM] SwaDM: Kiran will find himself gradually led out towards the edges of the command center itself - if he had to guess, towards one of the rooms inside it - no, maybe one of the tents erected across the corners?
[6:22 PM] Kiran: "Honestly though, I've just been a little concerned that I won't be able to be in touch while I'm deployed. And I'm worried about how this world will fare - though I've given everyone all of the tools that I can think of to help them succeed."
[6:22 PM] Kiran: "So there's nothing I can do about that latter point anyway."
[6:23 PM] Kiran: "Except trust in everyone."
[6:23 PM] SwaDM: "Mmm. You do have to trust the others - and myself - on that regard."
[6:23 PM] SwaDM: "As for the lack of contact...yes. That is regrettable, I will admit."
[6:23 PM] SwaDM: "But I trust in you to not do anything stupid."
[6:23 PM] SwaDM: And - no. Not the rooms, actually. She's leading him towards one of the towers instead?

[6:25 PM] Kiran: "I have learned to be only selectively stupid, in situations where being a little reckless is important to succeed."
[6:26 PM] SwaDM: "...That's probably the most I'll get, yes."
[6:26 PM] Kiran: "I'm afraid so. My most stupid ideas have all worked out great so far."
[6:26 PM] SwaDM: "Namely?"
[6:26 PM] Kiran: "I'm going to have to give the gold to getting shot out of a railgun."
[6:27 PM] SwaDM: Allyah ducks under the doorframe leading towards the tower, moving up along towards it's steps with little issue - likely having to actually slow herself down a little to compensate their difference in leg length.

[6:27 PM] SwaDM: "Yes, that's quite stupid."
[6:27 PM] Kiran: raises his arms up in a flourish.
[6:27 PM] Kiran: "And yet here I am!"
[6:27 PM] SwaDM: "With probably just a few dozen micro-fractures across your skeleton!"
[6:28 PM] Kiran: "Could be. But Lous is with us, too."
[6:28 PM] SwaDM: "I do hear he is a life saver, yes..."
[6:28 PM] SwaDM: "...Literally, in my case- but regardless."
[6:28 PM] SwaDM: "There was another reason I accompanied you towards that city, I must adimt."
[6:29 PM] SwaDM: "And similarly, I must admit that I did sneak out for a few moments, while you were all sleeping."

[6:29 PM] SwaDM: As they reach towards the top of the guardhouse tower - the...same one Kiran brought them over for Dinner, actually, they reach towards a small bag at their hip.
[6:30 PM] SwaDM: After a few moments of looking, they begin to pull out some form of long cloth - composed a fair few many squares - a colorful piece, with symbols and pictograms either painted or sewn onto each of them.
[6:31 PM] Kiran: looks curiously at it as she does so.
[6:31 PM] SwaDM: As they finish retrieving it, setting it carefully upon the edge of the tower itself, Kiran will notice that in spite of this ,a fair few of the squares are blank still.
[6:31 PM] SwaDM: "I believe you know what this is?"
[6:32 PM] Kiran: "Yes. It's a keto, right?"
[6:32 PM] SwaDM: "Good guess! Yes, that would be the case."
[6:32 PM] SwaDM: "It was still in my quarters, inside that tower. Thankfully well-preserved, too. You know what they are, yes?"
[6:33 PM] Kiran: "I'm trying to remember the translation. Life fabric? It's reflective of your life, and you add to it throughout."
[6:33 PM] SwaDM: "Very good, Kiran. Exactly. We record our lives and some particular thoughts on it."
[6:33 PM] SwaDM: "And if you plan to become a part of my life..."
[6:34 PM] SwaDM: They extend out their talon, seamlessly detaching one of the corner squares from the fabric itself, afore holding it out towards Kiran.
[6:34 PM] SwaDM: "Then you'd best add something to it."
[6:34 PM] SwaDM: "Hopefully, that won't be too much of a challenge, hm?"
[6:35 PM] Kiran: looks down at it, expression changing from happiness to something closer to awe.
[6:35 PM] Kiran: "That's- wow. That is a very big deal. Thank you, I'd- I'd love to."
6:36 PM] SwaDM: "Our society had no space for what you would call...romance. But this is still something we did."
[6:36 PM] SwaDM: "I'd like to keep that tradition alive. Go on, take it."
[6:36 PM] Kiran: takes the square.
[6:36 PM] SwaDM: It's made of plain, beige cloth. Sligtly rough across each sides - likely treated in some way for preservation?
[6:36 PM] SwaDM: It's a litle bigger then his fully extended palm.
[6:37 PM] Kiran: "I think that even if it wouldn't be considered romance, this is still... intimate? Sharing the metaphorical fabric of your life with someone."
[6:37 PM] SwaDM: She nods.
[6:37 PM] SwaDM: "Yes."
[6:37 PM] SwaDM: "You need not add to it right away. If you wish, think on it."
[6:37 PM] SwaDM: "Just give it to me at some point, yes?"
[6:38 PM] Kiran: "I will. Should it be reflective of me, or... us? I'm not sure what the traditional thing is here."
[6:38 PM] SwaDM: "That kind of expression is entirely up to the creator."
[6:39 PM] SwaDM: She nods towards the fabric itself. Kiran can spot that there doesn't actually seem to be a pattern to them. Some are loose depictions of a place - or a space. Others are Kriendyh ideograms. Approximations of a face - or a weapon.
[6:39 PM] SwaDM: "Life - nay - the soul cannot be constrained in it's ability to express."
[6:40 PM] SwaDM: "Ergo, the only thing worth adding to one's Keto is not one of rationality - but instead, one of fundamental feeling and instinct."
[6:41 PM] Kiran: laughs.
[6:41 PM] Kiran: "I think I can manage that."
[6:41 PM] SwaDM: "I figure you can."
[6:42 PM] SwaDM: They tilt their head again - followed by the slight raising of feathers that Kiran thinks is a smile. At the same time, both their talons move to carefully be placed onto either side of his head.
[6:44 PM] Kiran: Oh god.
[6:45 PM] SwaDM: Think, Kiran .What would Linda do!?
[6:45 PM] SwaDM: Wait, Linda's a woman.
[6:45 PM] SwaDM: What would...Blake do?
[6:45 PM] Kiran: looks up from the square of cloth, and smiles back at her.
[6:46 PM] SwaDM: Kiran's panic may then subside, over the fact that what happens is instead Allyah leaning their head forward, gently knocking her forehead up against his - followed by a faint nuzzle. Ah. Right. No lips...
[6:46 PM] SwaDM: "Be well for me. Okay?"
[6:47 PM] Kiran: will take his cue from her and embrace her head, holding his against hers.
[6:48 PM] Kiran: "I will. And I'd really, really love it if you could do the same."
[6:48 PM] SwaDM: "I promise."
