  1. I'll start by saying that the moshing was basically nonexistent, or at least I didn't see any. I was towards the back of the pit again since I left my house after doors opened, though this was fine since the back area is a bit more spacious. The only downside of being at the back was that I couldn't see her band clearly all the time. The sound was *definitely* louder and more overblown than her last show to the point where it sounded like a wall of sound on some songs, but I obviously kind of expected this (not only because she's playing heavier songs, but tiny venues aren't always great sound-wise). Thankfully, my hearing wasn't damaged too bad and it was back to normal after just an hour or two. I did feel like the loudness was a disservice to the overall sound, though. Some friends told me I should wear earplugs to the concert (which I guess is a common thing that's done to prevent hearing loss), though I realized that I've never worn earplugs to a concert *once* - maybe you have (?). I did end up bringing a pair, but was kind of stubborn and didn't want to wear them, lol. It felt weird to have something blocking my ears in order to enjoy the show, but I'll definitely consider wearing them if I go to another heavy show. Honestly, though, considering that I've never gone to more than 5 concerts in a given year, I'm not really exposed to the loud sound as much as avid concertgoers. Also, I think her heavier songs translated a bit better in a live setting compared to some of the lighter/slower songs on the new album - the crowd was noticeably more neutral during the ones that were totally pop.
