- General issues:
- You lose HP when you run on the field. If any of your party are below 33% HP, you can't run any more.
- To open chests out in the game areas, you have to kill every enemy on the map in exp mode (no items) quickly
- The number of kills you need for chests is random for some reason, rolled by leaving the whole area. It's -always- way too high (5-7)
- The game seems to scale but stat gain is terrible; meaning leveling up is a mistake and only gear matters.
- The items menu is divided into 9 pages, and one of those divided into 6 more. A real mess.
- Icons on the touchscreen are pulsating non-stop, for the whole game.
- New chars keep joining at level 1 with no gear, regardless of how bad that is. They come in to replace better characters taken.
- The plot is a drunken mess, with a bunch of racism and religious zealotry. It's also copied from another lunar game, I hear.
- Quest issues:
- Have to choose between getting exp or items on every battle (the items are quest trash with no other function)
- Some of the items for delivery quests are incredibly rare, off of uncommon enemies. Or actually not available at all to gather.
- deliveries are the only way to make money. They come in randomly generated lists asking for a ton of the trash items.
- The deliveries ask for talking to some random person in various towns. The name is often wrong/mispelled. Bad directions.
- Some of the delivery quests are literally impossible.
- The deliveries have a steep fee to quit them. You can only have one at a time.
- For a chunk of the game, they took away my main man's combo attack for nonsense reasons. During this, my whole party was worthless.
- Battle-specific issues:
- You cannot target enemies in battle; they're randomly targeted.
- Blowing into the mic instead of choosing actions attempts to run away. It usually fails, and the whole enemy team gets 1 turn on you.
- All the enemies in this game [except for bosses] only do one thing over and over again. Bosses do 2 or 3 things.
- Some enemies have magic attacks which ignore all defense, never miss, and never run out.
- The 2nd DS screen holds enemies that are 'back row' and generally can't be hit by anyone.
- Battles tend to be huge fights every time. 6 or 7 enemies is common, with no fast solution to deal with them.
- For at least 15 hours of the game, the main character has no abilities. Maybe never??
- --UPDATE-- He finally got a skill but it requires he surrender his important accessory slot, and also takes a huge chunk of mana.
- --UPDATE-- He gets the same skill 4 times as a different element, which means nothing good, and needs a different ring for each one.
- Certain common enemies can permanently break a piece of your very expensive gear
- The same enemies who break gear can break weapons, which devastates your damage immediately.
- Some enemies can steal items out of your stack of deliverables. Anything that's stolen is gone forever.
- Enemies who do status effects like poison, or attacks that break gear, are -very likely- to do them every time.
- Healing is extremely expensive; It costs something like 20% of the healer's mana to heal anyone/cure status
- Only the main character does any damage. He hits for 300 when everyone else hits for 30.
- Can't afford to use any skills because of the lack of mana recovery. They don't sell it and all the skills cost a ton.
