  1. >You are Anon
  2. >After ending up in Equestria over twenty-two years ago you settled down and had yourself a family.
  3. >Married to the love of your life Twilight Sparkle, the two of you somehow had a child shortly after you were wed.
  4. >Twilight called it a fertility potion. Something about both of you had to drink it then magic would happen.
  5. >Never understood how that warp stuff worked anyway.
  6. >It didn't matter though because a little over a year after drinking it out popped your daughter Glimmer.
  7. >With the upper half of her body being human and the lower half that of a pony, she was the cutest little abomination you've ever seen.
  8. >Twilight thought so too.
  9. >And so began your life as a family man.
  10. >That was seventeen years ago and your cute little girl has grown up to be a fine young lady.
  11. >A smile creeps on your face as you sit at the kitchen table eating your lunch.
  12. >A weird vegetarian, meat flavored sandwich.
  13. >You think it's tofu.
  14. >Not bad.
  15. >A sudden crash from down the hall brings you back to reality as well as the stomping of hooves on a hard floor.
  16. >”You just aren't trying hard enough!”
  17. >”Mom, I'm trying my best every single time!”
  18. >”Well maybe you need to practice the basics more.”
  19. >”For bucks sake mom I do them every day!”
  20. >”Watch your mouth young lady!”
  21. >Here we go again.
  22. >Into the kitchen comes your little girl though not so little anymore as well as your wife chasing after her.
  23. >”I'm not done talking to you yet.”
  24. >”Well I'm done talking to you!” shouts Glimmer as she opens the fridge and sticks her head inside.
  25. >Needless to say your daughter turned seventeen a few months ago and is now at 'that age'.
  26. >Ever since the both of you found out that Glimmer has some magical abilities, mostly able to move things, Twilight was hell bent on teaching her.
  27. >You never seen your wife so proud of her daughter but in reality Twilight can be pushy when it comes to Glimmer's studies.
  28. >”Glimmer please, you have magical talent but you just need more practice. Why when I was a foal I would practice all day to get better. I would spend days studying and...”
  29. “Well we can't all be like you Twi.”
  30. >Twilight shoots you a glare.
  31. >”You're not helping Anon. Now as I was saying just to get a grasp on magic you have to put in a lot of work.”
  32. >Glimmer pulls out a carton of chocolate milk and grabs a glass from the cabinet.
  33. >”Mom I know! I do this day in and day out but I never get any better! All I can do is just grab a few things but that's it! I'm not a pony like you! I can't do magic!” Glimmer says as she pours her milk.
  34. >”Yes you can! You can do basic telekinesis. You just need to apply how you do that to other spells.”
  35. >”BUT I CAN'T!” Glimmer yells at the top of her voice.
  36. “Calm down Glimmer. It's alright.”
  37. >”No it's not dad! No matter what I do I fail! I can't take it anymore!”
  38. Glimmer slams down the carton onto the kitchen counter.
  39. >”Buck this I'm gonna go see my friends!” Glimmer says as she stomps out of kitchen.
  40. >”Wait Glimmer!”
  41. >”No! Buck off!”
  42. >You can hear the door slamming in the distance.
  43. >Kids these days.
  44. >Getting up from the table to kneel down next to Twilight.
  45. “It's alright Twi, she's just at that age where she just wants to do what she wants. She'll be back.”
  46. >To your surprise though instead of the saddened Twilight you were expecting you are kneeling next to a very angry purple pony.
  47. >”Buck off? Telling ME to buck OFF!”
  48. >You can practically see steam coming from her nose.
  49. “It OK Twi, I'm sure she just...”
  50. >”NO! IT IS NOT OK! Our daughter is growing up to be a waste of great potential! Ugh! Why couldn't she be like every other foal and just be a loving daughter but no! She has to be a rebel! She wants to put off her studies to play!”
  51. “To be fair you do make her study a lot.”
  52. >”Because she needs it!”
  53. >She is glaring daggers at you now.
  54. >”You!”
  55. “Me?”
  56. >”Go talk to your daughter!”
  57. “But I don't know anything about magic.”
  58. >”This isn't about magic! Go talk to her and make her return to her studies!”
  59. >Twilight stomps over to the table, grabs your sandwich and then proceeds to storm out of the kitchen.
  60. >While passing by the counter the top of her tail seemed to naturally swing up and knock over the chocolate milk that Glimmer poured.
  61. >What a waste.
  62. >Guess it's time to go have a talk with your daughter and see why she's acting up.
  63.
  64. >Still be Anon
  65. >Looking for your daughter after she stormed out from the castle.
  66. >This isn't the first time your daughter suddenly left home after arguing with her mother.
  67. >Twilight can be strict at times but it's only because she want's Glimmer to be strong and successful.
  68. >Walking through Ponyville you see many of your old friends walking about.
  69. >You spot Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle walking out of Sugar Cube Corner.
  70. >They are full grown mares now.
  71. >Goes to show how old you're getting.
  72. >You see Roseluck attending to her flowers outside her shop.
  73. >She has three foals helping her that you know are hers.
  74. >You spot Lyra reading a book on her bench.
  75. >Looking up from her book she notices you and waves.
  76. >Well it is only polite to say hi.
  77. >Walking over the the minty green unicorn you greet her.
  78. “Hi Lyra, how goes it?”
  79. >”Hi Anon and the same as usual. Still being a lazy Dad?”
  80. “Hey I get out and work too.”
  81. >”Yeah, sure you do Mr. I'm married to a princess. You're nothing but a big stay at home dad while living off those sweet royal bits.”
  82. “That hurts Lyra, besides my kid is getting along in years too. Soon she'll be out on her own that is unless my wife kills her first.”
  83. >”Twilight and Glimmer at it again? Why do they keep arguing. It's mom and daughter, they should be getting along.”
  84. “That's what I keep telling them but with Twilight constantly trying to teach her magic and Glimmer being a teenager, not to mention she isn't the best at magic, they keep stressing each other out to no end.”
  85. >”Well Twilight will be Twilight.”
  86. “Speaking of them you haven't seen Glimmer around at all have you?”
  87. >Lyra shrugs.
  88. >”Sorry Anon, been reading.”
  89. “Oh well I'm sure she'll turn up.”
  90. >”I'm sure she will.”
  91. “I'll see you around Lyra.”
  92. >Walking away you hear Lyra shout at you “Make sure you scold her for arguing.”
  93. >Good old mint horse.
  94.
  95. >Be Twilight Sparkle, mother of an undisciplined daughter.
  96. >Be pacing back and forth in your study still in a bad mood.
  97. >The thoughts of this afternoons argument with Glimmer still fills your head.
  98. >'Who does she think she is! She's my daughter and should be wanting nothing more then to accept my lessons. After all you are Princess Twilight Sparkle and she is Lady Glimmer Sparkle. How dare she be that rude to her mother of all ponies. She even yelled at her father! How disrespectful. Thank Celestia she didn't do it in public.'
  99. >Stepping out of your study you make your way down to the kitchen.
  100. >Your thoughts still running wild.
  101. >'I mean honestly I thought I raised her better then that. I did everything my mother did for me. Besides studying hard is what got me where I am today. It's for her own good.'
  102. >'I even got my paperwork done early today just so I could help her with theories on basic magical formulas and signs, and how does she show her appreciation by just going off.'
  103. >Passing just before the kitchen you spot the wine cabinet and pause.
  104. >Remembering the events from today a glass of wine doesn't sound like a bad idea.
  105. >After all Glimmer wont be back until after dark, as usual.
  106. >You only hope Anon is giving her a strict talking to or he's gonna be sleeping on the couch for a week.
  107.
  108. >Back to the green monkey man Anon.
  109. >Trying to think of all the areas where your daughter hangs out.
  110. >Already checked Sugar Cube Corner and Pinkie didn't see her.
  111. >But Pinkie sees everyone.
  112. >So she was never seen.
  113. >You have an idea where.
  114. ….......................................
  115. >After walking outside of town just to the edge of the Everfree Forest.
  116. >You spot the hill you were looking for.
  117. >A hill outside the forest with a single tree on top of it.
  118. >It is dusk now and Celestia's sun is low in the sky and casts a golden light on the area.
  119. >At the top of the hill you can see a log bench and on top of that log was a Satyr.
  120. >Approaching the bench you see her holding one of the yellow flowers from the field in her hand.
  121. >As you sat down next to her she glanced at you and returned to staring at the flower.
  122. ”It's a nice flower isn't it.”
  123. >”Yeah I like these ones.”
  124. “Not surprising. We used to bring you here when you were little all the time.”
  125. >Glimmer looks up at you but back at the flower again in silence.
  126. “Back home I think that was called a Daylily.” you said as you pointed to the flower.
  127. >”Why are they called that?”
  128. >You stop to think for a moment.
  129. “Honestly I'm not sure. A man probably named it after a woman.”
  130. >Glimmer looks back up to you.
  131. >”Did you ever name anything after mom?”
  132. >Well that was unexpected but greet your daughter with a smile.
  133. “Yeah I did actually.”
  134. >With a look of interest on her face now she asks “What?”
  135. >Leaning down closer to Glimmers face you bring your hand up and flick her on the nose.
  136. >Glimmer reels back quickly covering her nose.
  137. >”Ah Dad! What was that for?”
  138. “It's the answer to your question.”
  139. >Glimmer looks up at you in confusion.
  140. “You ya knucklehead. You were given your mothers name so you're named after her. Sparkle.”
  141. >Glimmer now looks at you with a pout.
  142. >”That's not what I meant.”
  143. “Well in that case, no.”
  144. >Now it's a look of disappointment.
  145. >Glimmer turn back to the flower and tosses it to the ground.
  146. >Cupping her face in her hands and elbows on her knees she says ”Well why does mom have to always be so mean.”
  147. >You offer her another smile.
  148. “Glimmer, your mom does it because she just wants whats best for you.”
  149. >”Well it doesn't seem like that. Twelve hour study sessions on the weekends! Who does that to their daughter?”
  150. “Your mother.”
  151. >”Exactly! Ever since my magic appeared it's been nothing but lessons. Hell even when grandma shows up it's like a review.”
  152. Glimmer sighs.
  153. >”I just want my old mom back. Before I got this stupid magic.”
  154. >You see Glimmer pick up the flower she tossed down with her magic, enveloping it with a light purple hue.
  155. >That makes sense though.
  156. >Glimmer's magic didn't appear till she was fourteen.
  157. >Twilight and I thought she was just like me and couldn't do magic up until that point.
  158. >A late bloomer you suppose.
  159. >Looking at your daughter you see a sad look in her eyes.
  160. >Wrapping your arm around her you bring her in for a hug.
  161. “Listen Glimmer. Your mother and I love you very much. I know it seems tough but in the long run I guarantee you'll be thanking her for all this. Just because you got magic doesn't mean your mom stopped loving you. In fact, she couldn't be more proud of you.”
  162. >Glimmer looks up to you.
  163. >”Really?”
  164. “Yeah, she thinks you can be as good at magic as she is one day.”
  165. >”But I can't do anything other then pick up objects. No matter what I try I can't seem to do it.”
  166. “So you're just gonna quit? The little Satyr girl that wanted to be just like her mom?”
  167. >A blush comes over Glimmers face.
  168. >”I did not want to be like her!”
  169. >You can't help but laugh at your daughters embarrassment.”
  170. “I remember you saying things like that back when you were nine. 'I wanna be just like mommy.'”
  171. >A quick shove from her follows breaking your hug.
  172. >Glimmer puts her face back into her hands with her elbows on her knees as she looks at you.
  173. >”Well doesn't mean mom can't be a little nicer. I really try.”
  174. >You still can't help but smile.
  175. ”Well how about we both talk to Twilight and see if we can cut you some slack.”
  176. >”How so dad?”
  177. ”I'll talk to her tonight once I head back and when you get home well get this all sorted out.”
  178. >Glimmer stairs at you for a moment.
  179. >”Promise dad?”
  180. “I promise. You keep thinking your mom is mean but she still loves you and almost everything she does she does for you.”
  181. >Finally you get a smile from your daughter.
  182. >Glimmer leans back into you with a hug.
  183. >”Thanks dad.”
  184. “It's what I do.”
  185. >As Glimmers feet shift you can hear a slight clink sound that comes to your attention.
  186. >Breaking from your hug with Glimmer you look over the side of the log.
  187. >Five empty hard cider bottles.
  188. >Was she...
  189. >Glimmer has a terrible poker face.
  190. “Care to explain to me what these are doing here?”
  191.
  192. >So she was drinking.
  193. >You suddenly tighten your hug on her and bring your face just in front of hers.
  194. “Glimmer” You say with the most deadpan look.
  195. >She really can't hide much from you. Her eyes are darting back and forth.
  196. >You've seen her do this every time she got into trouble with you.
  197. >”Yeah dad?”
  198. “I smell cider on your breath.”
  199. >She quickly tightens her mouth into what looks like a scrunch.
  200. >All you can manage to do is sigh.
  201. >You loosen your grip on her.
  202. >Standing up from the log you look down at her.
  203. “Glimmer, you now you're not supposed to be drinking.”
  204. >Glimmer looks down at her hooves.
  205. >”Yeah dad.”
  206. “Then why are you drinking. In fact how did you get the cider?”
  207. >She is again darting her eyes back and forth while looking at the ground.
  208. >”Uh...”
  209. “Uh? What?”
  210. >”Uh...it was a friend of mine.”
  211. >She looks up at you.
  212. >You just keep your neutral look.
  213. “Keep going.”
  214. >She looks like she's really conflicted now.
  215. >If some fucking stallion is messing around with your little girl, you still have your knife from the when you served and a few other things that popped out here with you.
  216. >”Uh...it was...”
  217. >You could just ditch him in the forest. No one would suspect a thing.
  218. >”Was...”
  219. >Yeah this kiddo is dead.
  220. >”Applebloom.”
  221. >Well looks like nobody is going missing tonight.
  222. >You still raise your eyebrow at Glimmer.
  223. “Applebloom gave you the cider?”
  224. >”Yeah! I ran into her after I left the castle and she saw how mad I was. She asked me if I wanted to calm down a little so I said yes.”
  225. >Doesn't seem like she's lying.
  226. >Applebloom used to baby sit her a lot when she was young.
  227. >Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle used to help watch her too.
  228. “Well where is Applebloom now?”
  229. >”She left a little while ago. She went back to Sweet Apple Acres. Took one of the ciders with her.”
  230. >You glance again to the bottles.
  231. “And how many did you have?”
  232. >Glimmer starts to fidget again.
  233. >”..wo...”
  234. ”What's that?”
  235. >”I had two.”
  236. >She doesn't really seem tipsy so Twilight probably wont find out about this.
  237. >Still though...
  238. “And how many times have you drank with Applebloom?”
  239. >She puts her hands up a little.
  240. >”No! This was the first time I've actually drank with her?”
  241. “Yeah? Well how many other times have you drank?”
  242. >She pauses for a second.
  243. >”Just once before dad. I took one of the bottles of wine.”
  244. >So that's where that thing went, Twilight was looking everywhere for it.
  245. >She really is just like a human child.
  246. >No wonder Twilight is losing her mind with her.
  247. >She's never seen how humans grow up and we do our fair share of getting into trouble.
  248. >All you can do is sit back down with a sigh.
  249. “Glimmer. I'm not gonna lie but you are doing some stupid things and now I'm upset with you.”
  250. >Glimmer looks back down to her hooves with a defeated look.
  251. “But, you know I did some stupid things when I was your age too.”
  252. >This gets her attention.
  253. “I remember my first beer. I remember when I got arrested for the first time back home. I remember doing a lot more then just those. However it doesn't make them right. Theft is still theft and if your mother ever found out about this she would loose her mind.”
  254. >”You're not gonna tell her?”
  255. “Of course not. She'd kill both of us.”
  256. >A surprised expression appears on her face.
  257. “However now I know, and if I catch you doing anything like this again not only will your mother find out but I will be the one to punish you. So this is your one freebie that you get Glimmer. Don't break my trust in you or you'll have hell to pay.”
  258. >Glimmer jumps back into you with a hug.
  259. >”Sorry dad. I wont do it again.”
  260. “That's my girl.”
  261. >Though you'll give Appleboom a chewing once you see her next.
  262. >You break the hug and realize that Luna's moon is about to rise.
  263. “It's getting late Glimmer. I hope your feeling better and got something from this conversation.”
  264. >Glimmer gives you a smile.
  265. >”Yeah, thanks dad.”
  266. “Good. Just don't take too long getting home. I'm gonna head back and talk with your mom. I expect you back under two hours.”
  267. >”I will dad. I was just gonna go see Applebloom one more time.”
  268. “Better not be fucking drinking.”
  269. >”No! I just wanted to pick up a book I was gonna borrow from here.”
  270. “Yeah sounds like a excuse.”
  271. >Glimmer pouts again.
  272. >”I'm not gonna do anything. I'll be home soon.”
  273. >With that Glimmer spins around and take off towards the apple trees you can see in the distance.
  274. “Kids will be kids.”
  275. >With a smile you start heading back home to your loving wife.
  276. ….......................................................
  277. >Be Glimmer
  278. >Heading to Sweet Apple Acres.
  279. >Can't believe you got caught by your dad.
  280. >At least it wasn't mom.
  281. >Approaching the wooden fence you easily jump over it.
  282. >Pays to have long pony legs sometimes.
  283. >Running up to the farmhouse you spot Applejack inside.
  284. >You walk up the steps and knock on the door.
  285. >”Just a minute.” you hear called out from the house.
  286. >After a few moments Applejack opens the door.
  287. >”Well if it isn't lil' Glimmer. What can I do for ya?”
  288. “Hi Applejack just looking for Applebloom.”
  289. >”She's upstairs. Watch out for the youngins.”
  290. >Applejack steps aside letting you in.
  291. “Thanks Applejack. I wont be here long.”
  292. >”Take yer time.”
  293. >Walking past her you head up to Applebloom's room.
  294. >This should take no time at all then you just hope dad is done talking to mom by the time you get there.
  295. ….......................................................
  296. >Back to Anon
  297. >Finally walking into your home.
  298. >Sure it's a castle but who cares.
  299. >Never cared for the fact your technically a prince.
  300. >Married for love not money, making Papa Anon proud.
  301. >Walking into the main hall, no sign of Twilight.
  302. >Kitchen, checked.
  303. >Bedroom, checked.
  304. >Study, bingo.
  305. >The study itself was always pleasant.
  306. >A fireplace, lots of different books to read, and the furniture itself you could say was fit for royalty.
  307. >Noticing one of the chairs had books on the side table as well as on the floor you could only guess who was in it.
  308. >Walking up to the chair Twilight is sitting in and as always she's reading a book.
  309. >Doesn't seem like she knows your here.
  310. >Sneaking up to the her you suddenly grab her and pull her in for a hug.
  311. >”WHA! ANON! What are you doing!?”
  312. “Nice to see you too hun.”
  313. >Bringing your face to hers to place a gentle kiss on her lips.
  314. >After a few seconds you break it as she lets a content sigh.
  315. >”Why do I put up with you?” she says with a smile.
  316. “You want the real answer or something else and is that wine?”
  317. >Twlight eases out of your grip as you set her back down in her chair.
  318. >”Yeah, I just needed ssomething after today. Glimmer made me so angry I jusst...I don't know.”
  319. “Drinking alone and angry isn't good for you.”
  320. >You leaned against the hardwood table that stood in the middle of the room.
  321. “Neither is drinking that much to the point of slurring.” pointing to the two wine bottles on the side table.
  322. >”I know, I know. Just today seemed...different then our past arguments. I don't know why she refusses to stick to her lessons. Did you talk to her?”
  323. “Yes I talked to her. I'm also here to talk to you too.”
  324. >Twilight gives you a confused look or as about as a confused look a drunk pony could give.
  325. >”About what?”
  326. “Twilight, Glimmer is stressed out. So I want to ask you can you cut back on her lessons a little?”
  327. >This gets her attention as she suddenly bursts up from her seat.
  328. >”Anon! You can't be serious. Glimmer has a high magical potential. She could go on to make history if she learns to control it! How can you even ask to cut back on her lessons, if anything I should be doubling them!”
  329. “Twilight she's still just a kid though. She can only handle so much. Why not just let her be herself, magic or not I know she's gonna be successful in whatever she does.”
  330. >”And let all that raw power go to waste? No daughter of mine is going be some lazy sslacker. I had to go through way more tutoring, studying, and practices then she ever had to.”
  331. ”But she's not you.”
  332. >Twilight begins to magic over one of the wine bottles she had on her table, pouring a small amount into a glass.
  333. >”Anon pleasse, she has to do this. It's for her own good. She started so late in her life that she has to make up for what she missed.”
  334. >You notice Twilight is swaying a little.
  335. “You may be right. She did start magic late in her life but that I'm afraid Twilight I'll have to disagree with you.”
  336. >Twilight stares at you in disbelief, as she blinks the magic surronding her glass fades and it fell to the floor.
  337. >”Anon, this is our daughter! You can't be throwing away her future like this.”
  338. “I don't disagree with you that she should gain control over her magic, I disagree that all the lessons will do her good. You're going to cause more bad then good if you keep stressing her out like this, this goes for you as well.”
  339. >”No! Our daughter is not going to be some third rate magic user!”
  340. “Twilight, Glimmer is going to get pushed too far by this and if I know anything about human kids it's that forcing them is going to do no good.”
  341. >”She is not a human!”
  342. “But she's part one!”
  343. >”Argh! I can't believe my own husband is doing this!”
  344. “I may not understand magic Twi, but I understand our daughter.”
  345. >”And you're ssaying I don't!?”
  346. “I think were getting a little off topic.”
  347. >Twilight still holding the wine bottle with her magic brings it to her mouth and takes a swig.
  348. >”No, I think were right on topic! This is what you wanted to talk about right? How our little girl is gonna be a failure!”
  349. “Twilight you've had enough.”
  350. >”I know when I have had enough!”
  351. >As Twilight swings the wine bottle in the air her magic fades again.
  352. >However the wine bottle in motion flys in the direction it was pulled and just so happened to be pulled towards you quite quickly.
  353. >Yup that's a wine bottle to the face.
  354. >All you remember is a searing pain on the back of your head, your eye hurts, and a panicked Twilight over you.
  355. >Before the dark consumes you, you could hear “Mom? Dad? Dad!”
  356.
  357. >Be Glimmer and heading upstairs to see your 'Older sister' Applebloom.
  358. >Not really your sister but she was always there for you growing up.
  359. >Cutting a left at the top you round the corner and walk up to her door.
  360. >Remembers the knock your dad always does you knock five times while humming.
  361. >*Shave and a haircut*
  362. >After a few seconds it's returned with the following two knocks, as the door opens an older Applebloom is revealed.
  363. >”Hiya Glimmer. How ya feelin?”
  364. “Heh heh, uh better now. I came by for that book you got last week.”
  365. >”Well sure, cmon in.”
  366. >Applebloom steps aside as you walk through the door.
  367. >Looking around her room, you see it hasn't changed much over the years.
  368. >The four post bed, her dresser, closet, even her old toy chest is still here.
  369. >The only thing that is different are the bookshelves with all sorts of books and items that have been collected over time.
  370. >You're sure you've read every one of her books.
  371. >Dad always say you got your love of books from mom.
  372. >Your love of comics came from dad.
  373. >”Now lets see here.” Applebloom says as she walks to the nearest bookshelf.
  374. >”Ah nope, not that one. Not this one either. Ah found it. 'Star Ponies:Book V'.”
  375. >Taking the book from her hooves you hold it tight against your chest.
  376. “Thank you Applebloom! I've been waiting for this one to come out. I loved the first book.”
  377. >”Ain't no problem Glimmer. What else you doin tonight?”
  378. “Not much. I gotta get home after this. Gotta talk with mom and dad.”
  379. >”Well if y'all are free after that, there's this get together happening out past the farm tonight. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle are gonna be there, was wonderin if you wanted to come along too.”
  380. “As tempting as that is Applebloom, I can't. Besides I'd rather start reading this book. I'm so excited!”
  381. >”Y'all really are just like your mom. Would rather read then hang out with friends.”
  382. “I'm not that much like my mom. I like to hang out too.”
  383. >Applebloom rustles your hair with her hoof.
  384. >”Yeah sure ya do. Well if you wanna come later just pop by. Just past the south field.”
  385. >Straightening your hair back you reply “Don't count on it Applebloom.”
  386. >”Alrighty then but don't say I didn't offer.”
  387. “Thanks, I gotta get going though.”
  388. >”Alright, just try and take it easy. Don't need you blowing up again like today.”
  389. “Thanks for what you did earlier. I'm actually about to go talk to my mom about that. Dad's gonna try and get me some free time in my schedule.”
  390. >”Well good luck with that Glimmer. Hope it works out.”
  391. “Mhm, thanks again Applebloom.”
  392. >”Anytime.”
  393. >After exchanging your goodbyes with a hug you start heading back home.
  394. >Out the door, down the stairs, and with a wave to Applejack who was in the kitchen you take your leave from the Apple family.
  395. >With a new book begging to be read, you head back to the castle.
  396. >Maybe this day isn't so bad.
  397. …................................................
  398. >Still Glimmer and you finally made it back home.
  399. >Walking through the main doors you greet the guard with a nod.
  400. >He just stands at attention.
  401. >That seems to be all they do.
  402. >Now to look for mom and dad.
  403. >If you were to guess, they would be in the study.
  404. >Mom is always in there.
  405. >You love reading but mom takes it to a whole different level.
  406. >Walking down the hallway to the door you can hear your parents voices.
  407. >”I may not understand magic Twi, but I understand our daughter.”
  408. >”And you're ssaying I don't!?”
  409. >Uh oh, seems like they're arguing.
  410. >And about you.
  411. >You never liked it when they argue.
  412. >Might as well get in there, mom can be stubborn sometimes.
  413. >”I think were getting a little off topic.”
  414. >”No, I think were right on topic! This is what you wanted to talk about right? How our little girl is gonna be a failure!”
  415. >What?
  416. >“Twilight you've had enough.”
  417. >”I know when I have had enough!”
  418. >You suddenly heard a loud thunk sound followed by something heavy hitting the ground.
  419. “Mom? Dad? Dad!”
  420. >Rounding the corner you see your dad on the ground and a trickle of blood coming from his head.
  421. >Your mom is standing over him.
  422. >What did she do to dad!?
  423.
  424. >You are Twilight Sparkle.
  425. >And in your drunken state you just lost control of your magic.
  426. >You threw a wine bottle at your husband and hit him in the eye.
  427. >Anon fell back and hit his head on the table that was behind him.
  428. >Oh Celestia,you're an abusive spouse now!
  429. >Anon is bleeding!
  430. >No no no! This isn't what you wanted!
  431. >Running over to Anon you stand over him and try to see where he hit his head.
  432. “Oh Celestia, Anon! Say something!”
  433. >As you look over Anon you hear someone shout behind you.
  434. >Turning around you see Glimmer standing there with a panicked look on her face.
  435. >No! This makes things even worse.
  436. >Your daughter just watched you hit your husband.
  437. >Glimmer comes running to Anon's side.
  438. >”Mom what did you do!?”
  439. “I just...I didn't mean to!”
  440. >”Mean to do what!?”
  441. “I lost control of my magic and hit him.”
  442. >”Why in Tartarus did you hit dad!?”
  443. “I said I didn't mean to Glimmer!”
  444. >An angry expression comes over Glimmers face.
  445. >”Oh so you didn't mean to lose control of your magic! What is wrong with you!?”
  446. >The wine, still doing its job and this outburst of hers starts to get you going.
  447. “Wrong with me!? You're the one who started all this!”
  448. >Glimmer stands up.
  449. >”Me!? You're the one that just hit dad!”
  450. >Standing up yourself, you can't take it anymore.
  451. >All the anger you held down comes back and boils over.
  452. “Well if you wouldn't have just said those terrible things today and actually studied like your supposed to then I wouldn't be drinking and none of this would have happened!”
  453. >”You're drunk mom! Well that's just perfect!”
  454. >You interrupt her yelling with your own yelling.
  455. “Don't you DARE criticize me for what I'm doing! All you had to do was be a good little girl and everything would have been fine! You could have already been mastering your magic by now but NO! All you want to fucking do is goof around with your friends and after all I've done for you! You should be grateful to have my lessons!”
  456. >Seems like your husbands words are rubbing off on you.
  457. >The sounds of a twig snapping could be heard.
  458. >Glimmer looks at you with a fury you've never seen before.
  459. >Through gritted teeth you hear Glimmer say “All you've done for me!? All you've done for me is teach me a bunch of garbage that done nothing but make my life worse!”
  460. >Worse!? How dare she say that!
  461. “Worse! Magic birthed you, you stupid child! Magic is everything!”
  462. >”No it's not! Ever since I found out I could do magic you changed! Do you even know how much my life has changed since then!”
  463. >What!
  464. “Change? You don't even know the meaning of change! My life changed once I had you! Do you even know what I had to sacrifice and deal with in my life because of you and your father! How often I was called the mother of a mutant creature! How often the nobles in Canterlot ridicule me for loving my husband! Even telling my own mother that I was marrying a creature not even from this planet!”
  465. >Glimmer take a step back as a surprised expression washes over her.
  466. >But you're not going to let up. Not this time!
  467. “I could have been so much more then just this but after fell in love with your father we decided to have you! I said goodbye to all that I could have been!”
  468. >A mix of sadness and anger comes over Glimmer's face.
  469. >”Well I'm sorry I fucked up your life you stupid horse!”
  470. >THAT'S IT!
  471. “You fucked it up the second you were born! I wish I never drank that potion!”
  472. >A few seconds of silence pass and only your breathing could be heard from yelling so much.
  473. >Wait...what did you just say?
  474. >A realization hits you.
  475. >Looking up at Glimmer you see tears strolling down her cheeks.
  476. >You just told your daughter you wish she was never born.
  477. >Oh Celestia...
  478. >”I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!”
  479. >Tears of your own are starting to form.
  480. “No! I just...”
  481. >Suddenly a hand comes across your face.
  482. >Whirling around you hit the floor.
  483. >Bringing a hoof up to your stinging face.
  484. >Glimmer just slapped you.
  485. >Turning around you see Glimmer running out the door as fast as she could run.
  486. >No...this isn't what you meant at all.
  487. >Tears now falling from your eyes.
  488. “I'm a terrible mother.”
  489. >You gasp as you remember Anon.
  490. “Anon!”
  491. >Running over to him you cup his face in your hooves.
  492. “I'm so sorry Anon! Please be ok.”
  493. >Spinning around you stand up and run to the door.
  494. “Guards! Guards! Guards!”
  495. >First is Anon and making sure he's ok.
  496. >Then you'll find Glimmer.
  497. >That is if she ever talks to you again.
  498. >As the guards come running down the hall you can feel your tears falling again.
  499. >One of the guards asks “What is it princess!”
  500. “My husband!” you say as you point your hoof to Anon who's still on the floor.
  501. >The guard yells back to the other ones “Get a carriage quick! You grab the stretcher!”
  502. >”Don't worry princess well get the prince to the hospital right away!”
  503. >You fall to your knees by the door still crying as the guards run into the study.
  504. >You're a terrible mother.
  505. >What will Anon say?
  506.
  507. >Bursting from the castle as fast as you could, you ran down the street as fast as your hooves would carry you.
  508. >Your obviously Glimmer.
  509. >And your tears wont stop.
  510. >That's how she actually felt.
  511. >All this time you thought she loved you she really hated you.
  512. >Ever since you were born.
  513. >Ever since you got magic.
  514. >All those times you spent with her.
  515. >Staying up late reading together.
  516. >All the times she comforted you.
  517. >Everything.
  518. >The tears wont stop.
  519. >It was all a lie.
  520. >Running through Ponyville is all you could do.
  521. >Run, run and run some more.
  522. >That's all you wanted to do, you had to get away.
  523. >Before you realize it you're standing on the edge of town.
  524. >The Everfree forest in the distance and Luna's moon high in the sky.
  525. >Staring up at the moon you feel empty.
  526. >Like everything that you were was ripped out of you.
  527. >Falling to your knees all you can do is cry more.
  528. >'Worthless, failure, garbage, unwanted.' are the only words that come to you.
  529. >You realize you're breathing heavily.
  530. >Another trait you picked up from your mom was hyper ventilating under stress.
  531. >Your mom...
  532. >Anger begins to fill you.
  533. >That fucking bitch!
  534. >How could she!
  535. >As you think about it the anger subsides again as sadness returns.
  536. >If only you didn't have magic.
  537. >Back when you didn't have it mom was mom.
  538. >She was always happy then.
  539. >You feel your eyes start to sting.
  540. >Holding your face in your hands you sob.
  541. “I just want my old mom back.”
  542. “I don't want magic.”
  543. >Crying...it seems that's all you can do.
  544. >After a few minutes of sitting on the road you look and see Sweet Apple Acres in the distance.
  545. >Applebloom should be at the get together.
  546. >Maybe she can help or at least you can talk to her.
  547. >You need someone to talk to.
  548. >You would always talk to dad.
  549. >Hope he is ok.
  550. ….........................................
  551. >Be a terribly worried Twilight in the hospital.
  552. >After you called the guards they rushed Anon here.
  553. >After the doctor inspected the injury it turned out it wasn't that bad.
  554. >Anon had a gash on the back of his head from where he hit the table edge.
  555. >He's also going to have a black eye from where the bottle struck him.
  556. >No signs of concussion but the blow from the table hit him hard enough to knock him out.
  557. >The doctor said he would be fine but they'll do some tests once he recovers consciousness.
  558. >Sitting next to his bed you can't help but feel terrible.
  559. >You drank almost two bottles of wine and ended up hurting your husband.
  560. >But that is nothing compared to what you said to Glimmer.
  561. >You told her everything.
  562. >It wasn't just the nobles that talked down to you for having such a weird family.
  563. >A lot of ponies freaked out once they learned a princess was marrying outside their species.
  564. >You remember ponies saying all manner of terrible things about you and Anon.
  565. >But you didn't care about what they said.
  566. >You love your family and nothing will ever change that.
  567. >But you might have just changed it for Glimmer.
  568. >You said the worst thing possible to her.
  569. >Fresh tears start to form.
  570. >You didn't mean it.
  571. >You love Glimmer more then anything in this world yet you told her the opposite.
  572. >What will you say to her when you see her next.
  573. >Where is she now?
  574. >You have to fix this.
  575. >As your thoughts race through your head a grunting sound brings you back to reality.
  576. >Anon is starting to stir.
  577. >You gasp in surprise.
  578. “Anon!”
  579. >Leaning over him you bring your hooves his face.
  580. “Anon please wake up. I'm so sorry!”
  581. >Anon's eyes begin to flutter open.
  582. >“Ugh, Twi? What?”
  583. “Anon! Oh thank Celestia your ok!”
  584. You throw yourself into his chest as he slowly brings his arms up to return your embrace.
  585. >”Twi, what happened? My head is killing me.” he says as he rubs his head with one hand.
  586. >Bringing your face up from his chest, you look into his eyes.
  587. >You can feel yourself crying once more.
  588. >Anon gives you a worried look.
  589. “I messed up Anon.”
  590. >You start to choke on your own words.
  591. “I messed up badly Anon.”
  592. >You have to tell him what happened.
  593. >You start from the beginning.
  594. ….................................................
  595. >Be Nurse Redheart.
  596. >After Prince Anon was rushed into the hospital by the Royal Guards, what was supposed to be an easy night turned into more work then you wanted.
  597. >Apparently the Prince bashed his head on a table and somehow got hit in the face.
  598. >Nothing too serious but it just means more paperwork cause it's royalty.
  599. >It didn't stop some from freaking out.
  600. >You even thought you heard one of the guards that came in with them talk about attempted assassination.
  601. >The princess was the worst of them.
  602. >So now you're on your way to go check on them before you take your break.
  603. >Walking down the hallway you spot the pair of guards standing outside the door.
  604. >As you neared the door a violent voice rang out from behind it.
  605. >”You fucking told her WHAT!”
  606. >You wanted some coffee anyway.
  607. >Break first then you'll deal with those two.
  608.
  609. >Be Glimmer
  610. >Crossing just past the south field of Sweet Apple Acres you spot what you were looking for.
  611. >Off in the distance a bonfire could be seen and a number of ponies around it.
  612. >Guessing around twenty to thirty of them.
  613. >Applebloom has to be one of them and all you can think of is talking to her.
  614. >Getting closer to the gathering you start to notice a few ponies.
  615. >Dinky is by some kind of cooler talking with some pony you've never seen before.
  616. >Rumble is talking to Snips and Snails by a tree.
  617. >There's actually quite a few ponies here that you don't recognize.
  618. >Oh no.
  619. >Looking back past Dinky you spot Diamond Tiara talking with her friend Silver Spoon.
  620. >Anything but those two.
  621. >They were some of the worst bullies growing up.
  622. >For a while when you were young, it seemed they always had something terrible to say about you.
  623. >'Freak, monster, disgusting.' You've heard them all before.
  624. >They even tried to beat you up one time but luckily mom stopped them before it got bad.
  625. >Looking by the bonfire pit you see what you came for.
  626. >Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle are all sitting by the fire talking and drinking cider.
  627. >As you approach them they take notice.
  628. >Applebloom is the first to speak up “Glimmer ya made it! Glimmer? Ya'll ok?”
  629. >Tears are flowing again.
  630. >Without realizing it you've thrown yourself into her chest.
  631. “Applebloom can I talk to you?”
  632. >Applebloom begins stroke your head with her hoof.
  633. >”Sure ya can Glimmer. That's what being a sister is for.”
  634. >You feel two other bodies press against yours.
  635. >Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle have joined you in a hug.
  636. >All you can manage to choke out is a muffled “Thank you.”
  637. >Breaking the hug you set yourself down on the grass, wiping the tears away from your eyes.
  638. >”So what happened Glimmer? Somepony pick on you again?” asks Scootaloo.
  639. “No...things got bad at home. Things got really bad.” you say with a sniffle.
  640. >”Was it your mom again? Get into another fight?” Sweetie Belle asks with a worried look.
  641. >”Well Ah'm sure it wasn't nothing that can't be fixed right?” asks Applebloom.
  642. >Bringing your knees up you hug them to your chest and look down.
  643. “I don't know. I'm scared.”
  644. >Applebloom places her hoof on your shoulder.
  645. >She gives you a serious look and asks ”What happened Glimmer?”
  646. >Looking up at her you go over what happened.
  647. >The fight.
  648. >What you said, what your mom said.
  649. >You might have left out the part about dad.
  650. >After a few minutes of explaining all three of them seemed shocked.
  651. >Scootaloo is the first to speak up.
  652. >”Twilight said that? Our Twilight? That's just terrible! Why in Tartarus would she say that!”
  653. >Sweetie Belle is now shedding tears of her own. “Oh Glimmer!”
  654. >Applebloom hasn't let go of you since the explanation started.
  655. “I don't know what to do. I just ran after I said I hated her.”
  656. >”It's alright Glimmer.” says Applebloom “Ah'm sure she didn't mean it.”
  657. >”Didn't mean it!? What mother says that to her child!”
  658. >Applebloom looks up at Scootaloo with a glare. ”As I said Ah'm sure she didn't MEAN it Scootaloo.”
  659. >Scootaloo takes notice of your sad look. “Oh! Eh heh...sorry Glimmer.”
  660. >”Tell ya what Glimmer. Why don't ya come stay at the farm for a little while? Let things cool down for a bit?”
  661. >This catches your attention.
  662. “Are you sure that's ok? I don't want to be a bother.”
  663. >”Shoot Glimmer, you've been family since you were born. Mah Sis would love to have ya around, sides I could always use those hands of yours in the fields. Work will do ya some good and get your mind off all this.”
  664. >You feel a smile creep across your face as you wipe another tear from your eye.
  665. “Thanks Applebloom, I'd love to.”
  666. >Sweetie Belle finally speaks up “Then it's settled! Lets forget about all this bad stuff for now.”
  667. >”Yeah! Here, I'll go get us some ciders and we can enjoy an awesome night!” Scootaloo says as she flies off.
  668. >Wait ciders? You promised you wouldn't drink.
  669. >As if on key Applebloom puts her hoof on your shoulder.
  670. >”Don't you worry Glimmer, a cider will probably do ya some good at this point.”
  671. “Uh...I don't know Applebloom, I'm still not old enough to drink.”
  672. >She gives you a reassuring smile.
  673. >”Nopony needs to find out about this, and after tellin us about what happened I'm pretty sure you need to unwind a little.”
  674. >Looking around the area you still see a lot of ponies.
  675. “But what if somepony says something?”
  676. >”Shoot, a lot of these ponies are from out of town. Couple of 'em came down from Canterlot. Most will be gone by the end of the week.”
  677. >Applebloom brings you in for another hug.
  678. >”Don't worry little sis. If anyone finds out I'll be happy to take the blame. I just don't like seeing you sad.”
  679. >Feeling her warmth has she holds you, you can't help but return it.
  680. >Wrapping your arms around her, you nuzzle the side of her head.
  681. “Maybe one wouldn't hurt.”
  682. >”That's the spirit.”
  683. >You break the hug with Applebloom to see Scootaloo flying back over with four bottles.
  684. >She hands you one and the four of you toast beside the warm fire.
  685. >Looking over you notice a dark gray pegasus looking over at you.
  686. >He seems to be staring but just as he seems to notice he looks away.
  687. >Another pony who thinks you're a freak probably, but who cares.
  688. >Time to forget about all the bad things that have happened today.
  689.
  690. >”You fucking told her WHAT!”
  691. >You are Anon and the amount of stupidity that just came out of your wife's mouth in the form of words is enough to kill a man.
  692. >Apparently she lost control of her magic and hit you in the eye with a wine bottle.
  693. >However this is the least of your worries.
  694. >Following the event, she got into another fight with Glimmer.
  695. >The fact they fought was not the issue but what was said, and what was said made your blood boil.
  696. >Now here you sit on a hospital bed after hearing about what happened.
  697. >With a headache the size of the planet, the situation was already adding more then enough stress to it.
  698. >Twilight looks down at the floor, her eyes still red from crying.
  699. >”I didn't mean it Anon.”
  700. “No fucking shit you didn't mean it!”
  701. >Twilight flinches at this.
  702. >You might have yelled that a bit louder then intended.
  703. >Bringing your hand to the bridge of your nose, you begin to apply pressure.
  704. >Closing your eyes you do everything in your power to stay calm.
  705. >Papa Anon wouldn't be proud if you beat and killed your wife.
  706. “So now you've gone and said something so fucking stupid I can't even wrap my head around it right now.”
  707. >”I know, I just couldn't stop myself.”
  708. “Yeah two bottles of fucking wine will do that to you!”
  709. >Taking in a deep breath to keep calm, you return your gaze to your wife.
  710. >She likes to do lectures all the time, well now it's her turn to get fucking lectured.
  711. “I told you to calm down on her! I told you this would escalate but no! I'm just a stupid fucking human who doesn't know his own flesh and blood!”
  712. >The increasing headache isn't helping your temper.
  713. “Apparently you're so repressed about all this shit and care so much about what others have to say, you no longer love your own family! Hell you even beat your own husband!”
  714. >A look of horror comes over her.
  715. >”NO! I just!”
  716. >You cut her off by raising your hand.
  717. “I'm not done yet! You WILL listen this time!”
  718. >Her ears flop down against her head.
  719. “You think your the only one Twi? You think that ponies only talk shit about you? I've heard every insult in the book since I first came to Equestria! For fucks sake within the first week I arrived three guards beat me down in the street thinking I was a monster!”
  720. >Twilight remains silent.
  721. “You think you have it so bad? Glimmer had it way fucking worse then you did! You should know!”
  722. >Something seems to click with her finally.
  723. “How many times did Glimmer come home crying? How many times did we have to comfort her after a day of school? How many times did we have to go talk to other parents about their kids bullying her? How many times did you have to stop me from beating some arrogant pony in the street for saying something?”
  724. >Seems like she's finally getting it.
  725. >You can clearly see the guilt just building up.
  726. >You're not done with her yet.
  727. “You're not the only one that had to deal with the bullshit Twi! I thought after all we've been through we'd be a much stronger family but I guess fucking not! We've had to deal with racists, activists, radicals, and fucking xenophobics galore and we've been fine! But NOW you're saying you regret it!? Over twenty years later!”
  728. >”No! I didn't mean it Anon!”
  729. >Head really starting to hurt now.
  730. “Well now it's your fucking turn to prove it Twilight Sparkle!”
  731. >Grabbing Twilight by the shoulders, you bring her face to yours.
  732. “You're gonna ease up on Glimmers lessons! You're gonna listen to what your daughter and I have to say! And NOW you're gonna take your god damn sparkle magic ass and go find your fucking daughter!”
  733. >”But...what do I say to her?”
  734. >You can feel your rage about to hit critical.
  735. “Say what a mother is supposed to say! BE A MOM!”
  736. >With that the world starts to spin for a second.
  737. >Suddenly becoming incredibly light headed you grab the waste bin by the bed and vomit.
  738. >Twilight rubs her hoof on your back to ease the pain.
  739. >”Alright that's enough out of you two.”
  740. >Looking up to the door, Nurse Redheart walks in.
  741. >”I don't need you making your condition worse. I have enough work already.”
  742. “Thanks Nurse Redheart but I'll be fine.”
  743. >Suddenly a white hoof presses against your chest, pushing you back into the bed.
  744. >”Let me put it this way. If you don't lay back down and rest your gonna have two black eyes to deal with or maybe I'll give you something to calm down using our biggest gauge of needle.”
  745. >Guess you're not going anywhere.
  746. >Looking back over to Twilight who's still seems worried.
  747. “Twilight, go find our little girl.”
  748. >”I will Anon. I'll fix this, all of it.”
  749. >As Twilight starts heading to the door you call out to her one last time.
  750. “Twilight.”
  751. >She looks back at you.
  752. “I love you.”
  753. >A smile comes across her face as she says “I love you too.”
  754. “But you better find her or else.”
  755. >Her eyes widen a bit.
  756. >That should scare her.
  757. >”I will.”
  758. >Twilight heads out the door and you lay back down into the pillow.
  759. >Thought only Earth had this level of stupid drama.
  760. >Stupid racist ponies.
  761.
  762. >Be Twilight.
  763. >You've seen Anon get angry but not that angry.
  764. >Worst part it was at you.
  765. >Stepping outside the hospital room you glance at the two guards who were watching the door.
  766. >Might as well make use of them.
  767. “You two, help me find my daughter.”
  768. >”What about your husband princess?”
  769. “He'll be fine. Finding Glimmer takes priority.”
  770. >”Yes princess.”
  771. >With a salute they take off down the hallway.
  772. >With a quick teleport to the outside, you extend your wings and take to the sky.
  773. >You bucked up today but it doesn't mean you can't unbuck it.
  774. >Find Glimmer and apologize.
  775. >You'll do whatever it takes to get your happy family back.
  776. “Don't worry sweetie, mommy is gonna fix this.”
  777. >Now where could she be?
  778. >Just hope nothing bad has happened to her.
  779.
  780. >The bonfire cuts away at the darkness of night.
  781. >Laughing, talking, and even some singing can be heard.
  782. >You are Glimmer and you might have had a little too much cider.
  783. >Sitting contently by the bonfire Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo chat with one another.
  784. >After drinking your first cider Scootaloo brought you another one and then another...and another.
  785. >All your friends are as cheerful as ever but you can't help but sigh.
  786. >Getting into a fight with your mother and on top of that breaking the promise with your father.
  787. >You really must be a worthless child.
  788. >Looking up the stars shine brightly in the night but the light from the fire obstructs your view.
  789. >Dad always loved looking up at the stars with you.
  790. >When you were growing up you would find him on one of the balconies or out back looking up.
  791. >Whenever you asked why he was looking at the stars, he would say 'My home is out there somewhere.'
  792. >Dad never really talked about where he came from a lot.
  793. >Before mom took up all your time with lessons you used to asked about 'Earth'.
  794. >He said it was an amazing place.
  795. >Towers that rose high enough to touch the sky, flight without being able to fly yourself, that its technology, as he called it, could achieve the greatest and most terrible of goals.
  796. >The cradle of humanity, Earth.
  797. >Dad always said that it is possible that among the stars somewhere was his home.
  798. >Because of that you got into astronomy a little.
  799. >You could point out the Equestrian constellations however due to the fire you can't really see.
  800. >Looking over to your three friends they are still chatting away.
  801. >Your sis did her best to make you feel better might as well not bother her.
  802. >Standing up you grab your cider and walk off to the treeline of the Everfree where it was darker.
  803. >After walking for a few minutes you found a nice spot on the grass to gaze.
  804. >Stargazing was always relaxing and enjoyable for you.
  805. >After dad went into all these crazy theories about how the universe came to be and how stars work you couldn't help but think about it.
  806. >You borrowed quite a few books from mom back then.
  807. >Though nothing you read was related to what your dad said.
  808. >Looking up you can clearly see now the night sky.
  809. >Luna's moon was in the sky but not enough to hinder the light from the stars.
  810. >You could point out a number of constellations.
  811. >'The Rock Bear' the stars of strength.
  812. >'The Phoenix of Light' the stars of life.
  813. >'The Hydra of Six' the stars of water.
  814. >There were a lot of nights mom and dad would sit out on the balcony with you looking through the telescope and reading star charts.
  815. >Things were always more fun back then.
  816. >Things were always more...happy.
  817. >A tear rolls down your cheek.
  818. >Remembering the events again from today, you bring your knees to your chest.
  819. >Why did you have to get these powers.
  820. >Things were fine without them.
  821. >Mom hates you.
  822. >Dad was hurt because of you.
  823. >Why did things have to turn out this way.
  824. >You just want your old family back.
  825. >Do you even deserve to have it back?
  826. >Grabbing your cider bottle you point to the stars and take a good long drink.
  827. >Tears flowing once again from your eyes.
  828. “What should I do?”
  829. >Once again your crying.
  830. >Seems that's all your good for.
  831. >Apart from your crying you can hear the rustling of grass.
  832. >Looking up to the noise you see...
  833. >No, please not now!
  834. >“Well well, is the freak of nature crying?”
  835. >”It's probably because she is so disgusting.”
  836.
  837. >You are Twilight and you are flying over Ponyville looking for your daughter.
  838. >So far you haven't seen any sign of her.
  839. >You checked back home at the castle but the maids there said she hasn't returned yet.
  840. >Sugercube corner closed a hour ago and when you caught Pinkie she said she hasn't seen her all day.
  841. >Now she's out helping look for her.
  842. >Looking down in the town square you can see a few of the guards, one of them you recognize as the Sergeant.
  843. >As you land they take notice of you and give a small bow.
  844. “Sergeant any signs of Glimmer?”
  845. >The Sergeant gives a shake of his head and answers “No Princess. No sign of her in the town as of yet.”
  846. >Dammit!
  847. >Where could she be?
  848. “Thank you Sergeant, please continue the search.”
  849. >Turning around you take off back to the sky again.
  850. >All of Ponyville must have been searched by now.
  851. >Flying past Rarity's boutique the amount of worry you're feeling is getting worse by the minute.
  852. >Why did you have to say those horrible things!
  853. >Why couldn't you just let it go!
  854. >What if something happened to her.
  855. >What if she's hurt?
  856. >What if she ran away from Ponyville?
  857. >Thoughts begin to race through your head.
  858. >You realize your starting to hyper ventilate.
  859. >No, you have to stop.
  860. >Landing down on one of the houses you start to take deep breaths to calm down.
  861. “She couldn't have gone far. Oh Glimmer where are you?”
  862. >Looking around from the roof you can see a few lights from the windows of the town.
  863. >The hospital can be seen in the distance where Anon is.
  864. >Anon...
  865. >You found her today so why can't you, even with the help of the guards.
  866. >You really are a terrible mother.
  867. >Thinking back to Anon you remember his words.
  868. >”Say what a mother is supposed to say! BE A MOM!”
  869. >Be a mom...
  870. “I wish it was that easy Anon.”
  871. >Ugh you have to stop thinking like this!
  872. >Smacking yourself in the head with your hoof, you recompose yourself.
  873. >Okay, if I were Glimmer where would I be?
  874. >What would Glimmer do?
  875. >She's your daughter so what would you do?
  876. >Well if you got into an incredibly unstable emotional state you would delve into your studies.
  877. >But Glimmer hates studying.
  878. >So if you didn't study you would...
  879. >Be with your friends?
  880. >That's it!
  881. >You always had your friends to depend on.
  882. >So that means Glimmer is with her friends.
  883. >So she must be with Applebloom, Sweetie and Scootaloo!
  884. >Extending your wings you take off from the roof with renewed vigor.
  885. >Sweet Apple Acres is the obvious choice.
  886. >She was nowhere in town so she must be outside of town.
  887. “I'll fix this Anon.”
  888. >You'll bring her home.
