Stuck on the roof

> You know. At one point Lina knew she used to be cool. At least from school popularity stand point. Having a band will do that.
> But as soon as she got kicked out of it. She noticed that people werent hanging out with her anymore or giving her attention when she walked into a room.

> Got a haircut, got a new outfit and with it new friends came along.

> Which is how Lina ended up being carried up to the school roof and locked up there. Banging on the door and screaming every insult she could think of.
> "Open this door you cheeto skinned skank!" That line could have used some work.
> Lina punched the door again. Not to hard, she didnt want to damage her strumming hand.
> Realizing she was stuck up here, she slid down against the door let out irritated grown.
> " Cheeto skank?" Lina looked up to see a familiar pale skinned girl sitting atop the roof door. "That was weak. I would have gone with Carrot Cunt."
> "They threw you up here too?"
> "Nobody throws me." Lupa said blowing a puff of smoke.

> Lina took a second to observe her new home. It was roof. Not much to describe. It had roof stuff like those generator things, antennae, Some extra supplies the school didnt have room for. The roof was paved with tiny little rocks which which would suck to walk on.
> She had only been up here for a minute and alreadt she was sick of it.
> So she figured she talk to the close to human contact she had at the moment.
> "Okay so why are you up here?" Lina walked around the door to get a better view of Lupa nest.
> "Because im an anti-social recluse." The white haired girl had a mad quite the spot for herself. She had a thermose, a bagged lunch, a small radio playing a weird techno song and sitting on a blanket with a moon it. "That and no one gives a shit if I smoke here." Lupa said taking another drag.
> Lina climbed up to Lupa's nest and took a seat. If she was stuck here, might as well kill some time until someone comes looking for her. If anyone does.
> "So how does feel to be unpopular?"
> "Not great." In fact it sucked balls.
> "Well if it makes you feel any better. You werent really popular anyway."
> "Im pretty sure I was." She had enough people to tell her she was to know that for a fact.
> "Is that why your up here now? See you might have been cool at onr point but now your just another girl with a dike haircut."
> "Screw you." Lina shot back.
> "Not interested."
> "The thing that bugs me is like everything I did while i was in the band didnt mean anything. Like the second I got kicked out everyone just bailed on me."
> "Exactly. The second you stop doing a thing people like. You dont matter."
> " I can still play the shit out of a bass. And im making a new band."
> "And then you'll get some new band mates, make some songs, break the band up over a fight and get thrown back up here so i have to listen to half ass excuses again." Lupa said blowing a ring of smoke at Lina's face. "And so the cycle begins a new".

> Now at this moment Lina would have either stormed off or smacked this fish lipped bitch. But she didnt have anywhere and kinda desperate to talk to someone.

> " So what? Should I just give up on being a musician and work in some record store and talk about how I used to be in band?"
> "Well theres only one record store in town. And their not hiring."
> "Good because im not gonna cheese out of this. I put too much time into getting good to not get something out of it."
> Lina vented but when she looked to Lupa she saw her just texting on her phone. Not sure why she expected her to care.
> She wished she had her bass right now. Just calm herself down.
> "Head up Skater girl." Lina felt a piece of plastic hir her head. She was about read to throw it back when she looked at it. It was a ham sandwhich. "Eat it. I hate ham and it lunch time."
> "wow. Uh thanks." Lina unwrapped it and waa about to take a bite when thought crossed her mind. "You didnt put like hot sauce or something in this?" Lupa paused for a moment.
> "No. But I wish i did. That would have been hilarious." Lupa snickered making Lina a bit uneasy as she nibbled at the sandwhich.

> "Alright now that ive fed you. Now you owe me."
> "I dont have any cash." She did. She jusf disnt wanna pay.
> "I dont want your pocket lint. But i do want to know something. Why did you get kicked out of your old band."
> "Because their dicks."
> "Alright lets try that again. Who got you kicked out and why?
> "Can we not do this." She was just getting better. She did need a refresher on her failures.
> "What? You dont want to talk about Nathan."
> "Shut up."
> "From what I heard he was some no name musician who wanted to be apart of a band."
> "I said, Shut up."
> "Took him under your wing. Got smitten with him and made a lovely little garage band." Lina stood up and gave her the coldest star she could manage.
> "You dont know shit!"
> "I know he dumped you. Because as good as you are at the bass. You cant sing. You cant write music. But you still wanted be the lead." Lupa might have been shorter then Lina but she was feeling small right. "Now you tell me. In this new band? How is it going be any different?"
> Lina couldnt answer that. Becuase she didnt know. She never knew. She had a goal in mind and a plan to get back to where she was before but this time securely on her terms.
> But she didnt know if it was going to be any different and that scared her. But she tried to play it straight.
> "So is this your motivational way of telling me to get over myself?"
> "That and to tell you to either make the damn band or shut the fuck up."

> They both jumped at the sound something smack against the roof door.
> Figuring this was her chance to get off the roof. Lina jumped down from atop the door and tried to pull it open. Only for it open itself and be greeted by Gordon.
> "Sup' were here to rescue you."
> "We?" Gordon pointed over his shoulder to their mutual friend Lemy who was laying at the bottom of the stairs. "Lemy got a text saying you were stuck on the roof. He dragged me here and tried to kick open the door."
> "Augh crap man what is that thing made of?" Lemy yelled upstairs clutching his foot.
> "Metal. Its made of Metal man." Gordon said knocking against the door.
> "Smooth move Lemuel." Lupa laughed taking a picture of Lemy to remember the moment.
> She had gathered up her stuff and the three made their way downstairs. Gordon was the first to help Lemy up.
> "Thanks for coming to save me." Lina gave the metal head a quick hug. "You alright?"
> "Yeah im cool. Not the first time i fell down some stairs."
> "Its the second time today." Gordon added. "Now lets get going. We got class." Lina was about to follow her friends before turning back to lupa.
> "Hey, Thanks for the talk."
> "Yeah lets not make a habit out of that. Im not your shrink."
> "Fine by me. You'd make a shitty one anyway."
