    ⤷ han hyemi was the third and final daughter born to a pair on jeju island. her parents were both still relatively young at the time, and were both taking the time to raise their three daughters. being the youngest, hyemi was fussed over a lot. sure, she was never really the first to do anything, because most of what she'd done her older sisters had probably done before her, but her parents and older sisters did everything that they could to make sure she was loved. growing up, hyemi was lucky to have a childhood surrounded by people that loved her. she didn't come from the richest family on the block, and if anything, her parents were more on the poor side. hyemi never had fancy toys or clothes, but it had never mattered to her. her family survived on a relatively low income, but it was enough to get by, and for hyemi, that was enough. it wasn't until she was older did she actually understand why her parents often seemed to look for alternatives, and why she never seemed to have cool toys like all of her school friends. at school, she was never treated any differently. during her early childhood years, the other kids didn't care whether or not she had money, they just cared whether or not she could make sandcastles in the sandbox with them. it was only when she got to high school that people started to look down on her due to being poorer than most people. however, despite this, hyemi never let it bother her. she continued to be friendly and talk to everyone she bumped into, trying to become acquainted with everyone she at school regardless of what they thought of her. her friendly and social nature was something that she'd picked up from her parents, both of which had raised her to be kind and passionate, and were friends with their entire street, and the type of neighbours that were always ready to stop for a chat when you bumped into them on the street. when hyemi turned fifteen, she began applying for jobs in an attempt to help out her family. she managed to get a few jobs working in various cafes and fast food joints, none of which lasted very long, seeing as she was rather clumsy, and didn't really seem to be good at being a waitress, and often spent too long talking to customers which caused long queues in the shop. she was eventually fired before she had the chance to earn much, and was extremely disappointed, until she found an advertisement for a tourist guide of jeju, deciding that it was the perfect job for her. hyemi had always been interested in the history and landmarks of her hometown, and what better job for her than one that required her to talk to people all day and share her knowledge. admittedly, they weren't very keen on hiring a fifteen year old with little experience before, but hyemi was desperate for the job, and begged them for a trail. eventually, they gave in, and let her go around with another tourist guide for a few sessions, with the intention of turning her down after a week. however, hyemi turned out to be better than they expected, as several tourists had given positive feedback on her, liking her positive and cheery nature, as well as her knowledge about jeju. not to mention, she was extremely good with kids, and could easily keep them interested, which made her tours family friendly. genuinely surprised at how well hyemi was, they gave her to job, much to her delight, and she's been working there ever since.

      - he's a jeju boy too, so hyemi's known him for quite a long time, and they get along pretty well, as they have a similar sense of humour. their families are also close friends, so hyemi pretty much grew up with each other, and he's like the little brother hyemi never had. (he's also lowkey the type to suspiciously eye her love interest and try and figure out his intentions)

      - the resident popular and good looking boy that almost every girl in her class has a crush on, except for hyemi (but she will admit that thinks he's just really good looking and is overall a pretty good guy, even is she wouldn't date him herself). they've been seat mates in class for years, so they are relatively close, and hyemi thinks he's pretty good company - plus he works at a pizza shop so hyemi uses him to get free pizza all the time

      - hyemi's best female friend, and the person that she can go to to talk about anything (usually things she can't tell donghyuck, if she's totally honest). they get along really well, and have a really cute friendship where they can always rely on each other, even though they don't always hang out, because they have a lot of other friends too.

✿ | PERSONALITY :
    ⤷ if there is one way that you can describe han hyemi, it is a ball of constant positive energy. there is never a time where you will see hyemi sit still, as she oozes energy every minute of the day, and never seems to get tired. it can honestly be exhausting just trying to keep up with her, from the way she talks a thousand miles per minute, or the way she always seems to walk with a bounce in her step, and her thousand kilowatt smile plastered to her face 24/7. she is honestly a massive handful to those who don't know her very well, but really, her biggest mission in life is to make friends. she talks and talks and talks all the time, to the point where you feel the need to physically tape her mouth closed just to get her to shut up, and she is fully capable of holding a conversation with a wall. hyemi is a happy go lucky person, who walks around with her glass half full. she is extremely positive to the point where it is endearing to those around her. not one negative thought ever seems to cross her mind, and even in dark or difficult times, she can still be counted upon to wear a smile and thinks of all the good things, looking on the positive side. she has an ability to make you feel better about everything, and always find a bright side. just lost you job? don't worry, hyemi's got a list of businesses hiring. just broken up with your latest boyfriend? hyemi's there to show you the joys of being single, and within a few hours, you'll have forgotten why you were upset in the first place. because of her happy and friendly nature, she finds it very easy to talk to people, even if she's never met or spoken to them before. she loves making new friends, and is the type of person who can just strike up a casual conversation with every person she meets on the street. she is  a social butterfly, and wants to make friends with everyone.
    ⤷ hyemi is also an extremely enthusiastic person, especially about the things she loves. she could talk for hours and hours about jeju island, which is why her job is a perfect fit for her. she's literally a walking dictionary of the town she grew up in, and can answer any question you were to shoot at her, from the spot height of a mountain to the best beach for family holidays. she has a love for jokes and pranks, and is actually pretty mischievous. while she doesn't often pull pranks herself, she has a pretty good sense of humour, and loves watching pranks being pulled out (unless they're pulled on her, in which case she doesn't like them as much). she can also be relatively clumsy, and doesn't often look where she's going. hyemi always has scrapes and cuts and bruises on her elbows and knees from where she's managed to trip over on the pavement from not paying attention to where she's walking, or knocked into door handles because she got a bit too excited and misjudged the space to fit through the door. it's a running joke between her and her family to see how long she go can go without managing to injure herself (her longest record was 3hrs and 12mins, before she tripped over the living room couch while bragging about how well she was doing at being not clumsy. her family got a good laugh out of it). hyemi is just an all around cutie, from her looks to her attitude. she fits the direction of a cinnamon roll, and people often want to protect her innocence, because she never understands sexual jokes of any kind (they usually just fly straight over her head and she'll be standing there wide-eyed, trying to figure out why everyone else is sniggering). she loves being babied by other people (not that she'll admit it), despite the fact that she doesn't need to be protected. she's fully capable of standing up for herself and whooping ass, but she likes it when people fuss over her, and it gives her an excuse to be all clingy to them. and while she likes to be babied, she also loves babying other people as well, and absolutely loves little kids and babysitting (probably because she's always wanted a younger sibling).
 ⤷ however, with her friendliness comes her ability to be the slightest bit clingy and pushy. she just wants to make friends, but her over the top and loud nature tends to put people who aren't used to her off. she doesn't mean to come off as so strong, and she doesn't often realise that she's doing it. she is a very loud person, and doesn't really know the meaning of an inside voice. she can also be a very indecisive person, and hates making decisions on her own. she tends to rely on other people to make her decisions for her, because she has a habit of second guessing herself and changing her mind very often. she also has a lack of a filter sometimes, and tends to let things slip a lot, usually without meaning to. she's not very good at keeping secrets, so if you want something to be kept on the down low, it is not a good idea to hyemi. if you tell hyemi, the whole of jeju will know within the week, as she has a talent for spreading news like wildfire without intentionally meaning to. with her lack of filter comes the trait of always saying what is on her mind, whether it is appropriate or not, something that she's had to try and bite down while on her job. if you continue to push her to her limits, don't be surprised if she snaps back, because while she might be small and cute, she can snap back harsh retorts without a second thought. and while she is usually the type to avoid arguments and drama, she can protect herself, and she knows how to whoop ass. she looks like she needs to walk around with about five body guards at all times, but this couldn't be further from the truth. trained in the art of taekwondo, hyemi can pull you into a chokehold before you can even finish your rude retorts, and trust me, it's not a good look to be seen held in a chokehold by a seventeen year old girl who's barely over 160 cm. just because she's small, doesn't mean she can't do a lot of damage.

    ⤷ hyemi honestly loves her job to the moon and back. it combines two of her favourite things in the world - talking, and her love for her home town. she literally gets paid to go on and on and on about what she likes about jeju island, plus, she gets to go around to see all these tourist attractions for free. surprisingly, she's not bored of it at all, and is always enthusiastic about her job, regardless of the fact that she's seen these attractions over one hundred times, and she's given this information to millions of people. she loves her job a lot, and people tend to like her a lot because of her happy go lucky and smiley attitude. however, working with people does come with its downsides, and hyemi doesn't really like dealing with grumpy customers who are straight up rude and try to contradict everything she says (which pisses her off a lot because she knows she's right), especially since she knows she has to keep her mouth shut and she can't go and yell or swear at them unless she wants to be reported and risk loosing her job.

    ⤷ compared to the other boys, woojin is a lot more quiet and reserved. he honestly looks like he's really intimidating from the calm and collected way that he holds himself, but honestly, he's just a confused baby that often has trouble opening up to people. his friends will all tell you that he's a blast to hang around, but it takes ages for him to completely opening up to you, and he can often be really quiet, especially around people he doesn't know that well. he is the type of person to quietly observe what is going on around him before he makes his move, and always thinks things through before he does them. he's not exactly the most confident person out there, and tends to blush a lot whenever he receives compliments (especially if they're from hyemi), and doesn't really know how to function around the opposite sex.

    ⤷ well, he ended up on one of hyemi's tours, which is how they first met. of course, hyemi being the friendly person she is, walked straight up to him and started talking to him, because he looked around her age (and she thought he was good looking), and struck up a casual conversation. he had absolutely no idea what to do because "there's a random girl talking to me what do i do help", which hyemi didn't really notice, seeing how she's fully capable of keeping a conversation going on her own. she thought he seemed like a nice person, so after that when they continued to bump into each other more often, she decided that she was going to make him her friend and she was determined to get him to open up to her (something that hyemi's an expert at, given the amount of friends she has).

       - highkey confused on why she was talking to him, because he was pretty sure he'd never met her before and he wasn't used to people just randomly coming up and talking to him (he's been told it's because he looks mildly intimidating)

       - she thought he was good looking, but otherwise treated him like all her other customers (because after all, she's seen plenty of good looking guys anyway), and deceded to just go over and say hello, being the friendly person she is

✿ | HOW HE ACTS AROUND HER :
    ⤷ BEG - he honestly has no idea what to do because he's never really been good with girls. he's a shy and awkward smol bean around people he doesn't know, especially teenage girls who seem to want nothing more than to be his friend. he's only ever really had one girlfriend, and he was a stumbling mess throughout most of the relationship until it ended, so he doesn't really have much experience in that department. he's awkward, and doesn't really know how to hold conversations with her, and relies most on her to keep the conversation going because he honestly really wants to talk with her, but he's just not sure how.
    ⤷ MID - he's slowly started coming out of his shell a bit and talks to her now, and can keep conversations going. he's lowkey got a crush on her, which is obvious to all of his friends from the way he blushes whenever she initiates skinship or compliments him on just about anything. he will do almost anything that she asks him to - hell, he'd probably rob a bank if she asked (cue seongwoo calling him "whipped"), and literally just wants to see her smile. he's still an awkward bean, but he's slowly become a lot more comfortable in her presence, and doesn't overthink being in her company as much anymore.
    ⤷ END - highkey crushing on her, but oblivious to any of her attempts at flirting. he's completely clueless, and stuck in the whole "what if she doesn't like me" boat, despite all of his friends (and all of hers) insisting that she likes him. again, he doesn't really know how to ask her out, despite the fact that they already act as if they're dating (he's been told this multiple times by the other boys). eventually it gets to the point where hyemi has to ask him out instead, and he goes bright red and flustered, before he says yes.

✿ | HOW SHE ACTS AROUND HIM :
    ⤷ BEG - she acts the same way around him as she does anyone else. that is to say, a massive ball of energy. she just wants to make a new friend, and it doesn't really cross her mind to act any different. she's chatty, invites herself into his personal space, and literally talks to him whenever she gets the chance. she's quick to convince him to exchange numbers, and often spams up his phone with random messages and emojis, but he never really yells at her for it. she notices that he awkward, and she's determined to bring him out of his shell.
    ⤷ MID - she notices that he's slowly opening up to her, and actually starts talking to her more (the first time he started a conversation with her, she almost had a heart attack but was also really pleased that he was finally coming out of his shell around her). she's also aware that she's kind of crushing on him, which is new for her, because she hasn't really had many crushes before in the past, mostly just finding guys good looking. she's sort of starts flirting with him, but tries to keep it very lowkey, because he's only just started opening up to her and she doesn't really want to scare him off again.
    ⤷ END - her flirting his high key obvious, and just about everyone on a five mile radius can tell that she likes him, but she's not really sure if he knows or not. she thinks he might, because he tends to blush whenever she compliments him or flirts with him, but she doesn't want to say anything about unless she's wrong. until it gets to the point where it is really bothering her, and she cannot take it anymore and decides to just straight up ask him out (though asking might be a bit of a understatement, considering she sort of yelled it at him because she was a little bit frustrated. she blames it on the rude tourist she had to deal with not twenty minutes earlier)
