  10. >REPRINTS WHEN?!
  11. Keep checking your local LGSs, resupply is in progress. BT-05 is now officially released in the West!
  12. If you can't wait and have no other options, your best bet to get cards right now is singles from places like TCGplayer (see links section).
  13.
  14. Never buy precon decks for over $15 (MSRP $10), boosters for over $6 (MSRP $4), or boxes for over $120 (MSRP $92). Don't feed scalper faggots.
  15.
  16. >ROTATION WHEN??
  17. Never, the best you can hope for is Block Constructed tournaments once there are enough sets in that block.

  19. QRD colour overview:
  20.
  21. >Red:
  22. Unga bunga. Better DP gain and Security Attack than other colours.
  23. Unique-ish mechanic is Advance
  24. Removal: DP-based
  25.
  26. >Blue:
  27. Advantage. Gains memory, draws cards, multiple attacks, and Jamming.
  28. Unique mechanics are evolution source removal and playing Digimon from the evolution stack.
  29. Removal: bounce and tuck, and sometimes "can't attack or block"
  30.
  31. >Yellow:
  32. Control and recovery. Lots of cards that debuff enemy Digimon.
  33. Unique mechanic is Security Recovery/ Manipulation.
  34. Removal: reducing DP
  35.
  36. >Green:
  37. Fast and cheap evolution; control through battle. Also has the most Digi-Burst.
  38. Unique mechanic is Digisorption.
  39. Removal: suspending and attacking direct
  40.
  41. >Purple:
  42. Digimon sacrifice, Graveyard, and Option card synergy.
  43. Unique mechanic is Retaliation. Unique-ish mechanic is revival.
  44. Removal: level-based direct destruction
  45.
  46. >Black:
  47. Defence, and weird gimmicks. Higher than average access to level 7s. Security "trap" Digimon. The devs are apparently aware and working to better define this colour.
  48. Unique mechanics are Reboot and Decoy.
  49. Removal: De-Digivolve and cost-based direct destruction
  50.
  51. >White:
  52. Not quite a real colour yet. Mostly level 7s and their support, and some gimmick Digimon.

  55.
  56. >THE BASICS:
  57.
  58. Decent beginner skeleton:
  59. >15 Rookies
  60. >12 Champions (4 of which are blockers minimum)
  61. >8 Ultimates
  62. >4 primary Megas, 2 secondary Megas
  63. >3 Tamers
  64. >4 powerful Option cards
  65. >2 card wiggle room for techs or higher ratios of something you want
  66. >4 of the better egg, 1 of the less good egg
  67.
  68. Noob traps:
  69. >multi colour decks (difficult to build right and pilot)
  70. >starter deck WarGreymon
  71. >running too many option cards
  72. >stuffing too many different cards into your deck at low ratios (aka no consistency)
  73. >not picking a strategy and sticking to it when building which leads to unfocused decks
  74. >using only effect Digimon because you think vanillas don't do anything
  75. >shotgunning Hammer Spark as soon as you draw it
  76. >being overly conservative with memory even when it isn't beneficial to do so
  77. >attacking the stack without a followup plan if you die to security
  78. >playing roughly equal numbers of Rookies/Champions/Ultimates/Megas
  79.
  80. Multicolour meme shit:
  81. >If you want to run "honest" multicolour, the best way to hybridize is to have one main colour and one ancillary colour. The main colour forms the core of the deck and provides the necessary draw power through evolution, and the ancillary colour grants access to other techs. Tamers and on-plays are the main things you should be looking at for ancillary colours. Or, if the core of your deck doesn't really need its eggs a la Purple D-Brigade, you can use an off colour egg to give you access to tech cards.
  82.
  83. >Colour splits CAN work, but aren't easy to build. You have to be very purposeful with them. Generally speaking you have to be willing to "hard cast" higher level off-colour Digimon a la Purple D-Brigade, or only play tamers and options in your secondary colour.
