Four Fates Under the Southern Sun PF, Session 15

Start: 8 pm, Foreautumn 2, 401 GA

The party finish the combat with the cultists. They collect the strange rod the cultist in charge was using. It appeared unequivocally evil, and its only purpose was to create ghouls. Vasileios collected his armor as well, which seemed to serve as a potent weapon in its own right.

They bury the bodies and Tzara looks into the history of the rod. She unravels the following.

It had had two previous owners. The most recent owner was named Hrathi Neuhoffer, The previous owner is not contained in the Akashic Record. These rods are created by a cult named the Despoilers of Gisarlarinzee and are for one purpose - to sow chaos by animating ghouls. They serve no other purpose than to promote mayhem and instability, and foster misery and bloodshed wherever they are found. A scant number of these rods exist. Hrathi Neuhoffer is a foreign name.

They continue on their way and gather noble bloodwort along the way.

Nearing Izzero, Vasileios checks in on Alcaeus one more time and breaks down emotionally, revealing the situation he is in to the party. He describes the cell his brother is being held in and his regret and feeling of helplessness, and how focused he is on rescuing his brother.

They move on to Izzero and find it terribly dirty and poverty stricken. They are directed to the inn, where they speak with a man named Yunus. He cordially speaks with Vasileios, and seems decidedly off to him. Although friendly and charismatic, Vasileios understands a bit of the man's true intentions. He requests the party meet with his patron, Jucika Philamnos, at the bathhouses, and refers to them as 'foreign mercenaries', incidentally.

Before they comply, Mira, with Luna's aid, convince one of the bar patrons who seemed nervous with their presence to speak with them upstairs. She does so very reluctantly.

The woman, who is named Daphne, and is visiting from Gol-galoon, reveals the man, Yunus, is a Vatatzes agent who has wrapped other foreigners into the schemes of the Vatatzes. They do not have a good reputation in Izzero, but have almost sole dominion over it. House Koshkas is diminished to the point of almost having no presence in Izzero. Daphne warned Mira about this, and departed.

The party continued on to the bathhouse. There, an ageless blind woman, who evidently was the head of the Vatatzes family, a woman named Adriana, made a strange show in front of them, after loudly mocking a man named Giancarlo. The other woman, a foreigner and warrior of immense stature, beckoned them over.
