  1. <Luminous Sky>
  2. >Hikari wakes up
  3. >has no memories
  4. >doesn't even know her name
  5. >finds floating pieces of glass around
  6. >'how nice'
  7. >somehow knows that they're called Arcaea
  8. >plays with the shards and enjoys them
  9. >one day, she decides to start collecting them, because it made her feel happy
  10. >as she collected them, she created a sky above her
  11. >commanding the shards she found to move up above her
  12. >hence creating a sky of light Arcaea of some sort
  13. >one day, on her journey of collecting light arcaea, she does the usual collecting, except she looks at them with indifference
  14. >different happy scenes are ones she's seen so many times already
  15. >it's dull
  16. (at this point two things can happy, if the anomaly fracture ray doesn't happen, this happens)
  17. >she looks up in the sky
  18. >it's bright and blinding
  19. >she hasn't thought much in awhile, or at all
  20. >she couldn't feel happiness anymore
  21. >she didn't feel sadness either
  22. >she was empty
  23. >and so was her mind
  24. >her mind ended
  25. >and so did the rest of her story along with it
  26. (this is if Fracture Ray happens)
  27. >while the sky was beginning to blind her
  28. >one different looking shard stands out from the rest
  29. >it floats down to her
  30. >a special shard, it was dyed in a tinge of red
  31. >she looks into it and is shocked
  32. >it's a memory of herself, when she first woke up in the world of Arcaea, happily playing with the fragments
  33. >Hikari realises that she's no longer happy
  34. >she was pointlessly collecting these shards now
  35. >with that realisation, the sky above her breaks apart and falls
  36. >a waterfall or a tornado of falling arcaea
  37. >a beautiful sight but Hikari was too busy despairing over the anomalous shard
  38. >she grips it tightly and begins to cry
  39. >and from then on, she sets herself off to understand the world of Arcaea, because it's mysterious that happiness almost killed her
  40.
  41. (Hikari goes from default Hikari at the start, to Zero Hikari while she builds the sky, to Fracture Hikari after seeing the red fragment)
  42.
  43. <Vicious Labyrinth>
  44. >Tairitsu wakes up
  45. >she has no memories
  46. >she can't even remember her name
  47. >she notices fragments floating around her
  48. >she looks into them and winces
  49. >horrible memories
  50. >although, she knows their name is Arcaea
  51. >she looks around her
  52. >a ton of fragments that were drawn to her were conflict Arcaea
  53. >disgusting
  54. >she decides to begin collecting these fragments
  55. >they're awful, so they're better off gone and destroyed
  56. >hence began her journey to destroy all the conflict arcaea she collected
  57. >one day she stumbles across a labyrinth
  58. >had a bad aura emitting from it
  59. >she decides to go in anyway
  60. >an avalanche of preeetty dang shitty conflict arcaea was present in there
  61. >it was also a maze
  62. >and deep down inside of her, she could feel that there was something terrible in the middle of it
  63. >eventually she does reach the middle of the maze
  64. >the most heartbreaking arcaea floated ominously before her
  65.
  66. >it was the memory of a world ending
  67. >she winces but gulps down the feeling of dread, and puts the world end arcaea along with the rest of her collection
  68. >however, the tower around her begins to collapse as she took it
  69. >normally anyone would feel extremely afraid while falling off a building, but she only felt confusion
  70. >she could see better arcaea in a distance
  71. >she had just overcome the worst possible memory, there was no way she couldn't take anything else on
  72. >but as she was about to hit the waters below, all the glass fragments she collected formed a sphere around her and took the shock of the fall
  73. >she was alive, but now her surroundings was eventually filling up with conflict arcaea
  74. >they shrouded her
  75. >the world around her now black
  76. >the worst arcaea floated before her
  77. >her resolve broke
  78. >there wasn't a point to anything since nothing but awful things happen in the end
  79. >she didn't feel anything anymore
  80. >she couldn't feel happy
  81. >she didn't feel sad
  82. >she didn't anything
  83. >she emerged from the fragment cage as a different person
  84. >she changed
  85. >she was apathetic to everything
  86. >but when she did feel something
  87. >it was anger
  88. >she wanted to hurt someone, something alive, something breathing
  89.
  90. >she could form tools from conflict arcaea, she created ravens and sent them to look for anything in the world
  91. >they came back saying there was nothing
  92. >she exploded the creature
  93. >and continued travelling, before stopping in front of a giant ruined church
  94. >she leans against a wall and closes her eyes
  95.
  96. (She starts off as default Tairitsu, and then becomes Axium Tairitsu during the labyrinth, then Grievous Lady after getting broken)
  97.
  98. <Meeting Scene>
  99. >Hikari continues her journey to understand arcaea
  100. >while travelling
  101. >she notices someone standing against a wall, asleep
  102. >she was surprised
  103. >she didn't know if what she was looking at was a memory, or something else
  104. >but the girl she was looking at opens her eyes, and looks back at her
  105. >the girl smiles
  106. >it was a real person she had just met
  107.
  108. <Adverse Prelude>
  109. >Hikari suppresses the urge to smile or speak up too quickly
  110. >wouldn't know if this person was friendly or not
  111. >but seeing the other girl smile at her, she beams back
  112. >Tairitsu asks her for her name
  113. >Hikari doesn't know
  114. >Tairitsu doesn't know either
  115. >Awkward
  116. >Hikari began to feel her enthusiasm sink to Tairitsu's levels
  117. >Hikari looks around, normally light shards would be attracted to her, but all fragments were frozen into place
  118. >"Maybe... Maybe we could work together?" She asks
  119. >"Maybe." A half hearted answer from Tairitsu
  120. >Tairitsu felt a small bit of hope shimmer in her
  121. >maybe the old Tairitsu was alive after all, she was still fighting for a second chance, against giving up
  122. >"Do you know the name for these glass?" Hikari asks again (boi she's going in hard)
  123. >"Yeah, for some reason I know they're called Arcaea"
  124. >"I'm the same"
  125. >"What memories do you see in these Arcaea?"
  126. >"Almost only pleasant ones"
  127. >"So we're opposites huh"
  128. >Tairitsu points out that if they're opposites, maybe their meeting is a bad thing because they're on the ends of the spectrum
  129. >Hikari leans slightly towards Tairitsu, "You only see bad stuff? I'm sorry..."
  130. >"It's alright. But from what you're saying, even happy memories didn't give you a good life here, did it?"
  131. >Hikari shook her head and began explaining her story
  132. >Sure she didn't start off terribly, but she was this close to her demise, out of just happy memories
  133. >They decide being honest with each other was best
  134. >They began sharing their journeys with each other
  135. >Tairitsu interestingly admits that she had always wanted to meet another person in this place, but except now, she wanted to meet someone else to take her frustrations out on
  136. >she admits that during this entire conversation, she wanted to hurt Hikari
  137. >Hikari replies, "That's fine. I think if I went through what you did, I might've been the same too."
  138. >Tairitsu is shocked
  139. >she then feels something brew in her
  140. >Hikari could be her very last ray of hope
  141. >there might be better things out there
  142. >and so, she decides, she should work with Hikari
  143.
  144. >but at that moment, something strange happens
  145. >an anomalous shard floats between them
  146. >a one way shard, a vision only Tairitsu could see
  147. >it was the vision of the future
  148. >a vision of herself, impaled by a long glass pillar
  149. >on the other end of the pillar, was hands grasped onto it
  150. >those hands belonged to the girl that she just met
  151. >although from the angle of the memory, her expression was obscured
  152. >Tairitsu reeled back in shock
  153. >of course this would happen
  154. >there's nothing good
  155. >she was almost too naive to trust this girl
  156. >Hikari suddenly sensed the change in atmosphere around them
  157. >she felt danger
  158. >she looked at Tairitsu with anxiety
  159. >on the other hand, Tairitsu looked at her anxious face with the thought 'oh, shocked that your plans have been exposed and foiled?'
  160. >at this moment, Hikari makes a damning mistake
  161. >the lone red shard that quietly follows her around, the reminder to her current resolve
  162. >Hikari grabs the shard and pulls it to her chest
  163. >Tairitsu eyes widen, before she scrunching into a glare
  164. >she plunges at Hikari
  165. (end. yep. a cliffhanger)
