1. A tall muscular wanikame asks: Now, what do you three know about Hand to hand combat as of now?
2. Kaguya, Irugi says: Taijutsu involves awareness. You have to be conscious of things as broad as positioning to details like how much weight and energy you're putting into what parts of your body.
3. Kaguya, Irugi says: Not only on yourself, but on your opponent.
4. A tall muscular wanikame says: That is quite the insight you have.
5. Kaguya, Irugi shrugs.
6. A tall muscular wanikame says: Yes, but at its core, it is using your body as a tool, however you may need to do so depends on how you wish to fight, or what you are willing to do to succeed.
7. A tall muscular wanikame says: The idea of Taijutsu is simple enough, but it will be a personal goal for each of you to be able to disarm a peer of yours who wields a Bokken.
8. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. A tall muscular wanikame would straighten up as he looked to everyone in the class, his voice stern, but in a sense of a military training, obviously. "I want all of you to repeat what I do until you get a solid feel on the motions you will be doing." With things said he would slide his left leg back just about half a step from his right, then with a raise of both of his fists towards his face, he would send his left fist forwards, turning it from his thumb from facing sideways to facing towards the ground. "A left straight, something that seems simple, but without adding your wheight, the punch is less than full. Everyone, take a stand in the middle of the room, and preform a left Straight for me."
10. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. This particular instructor didn't seem completely caught up in the Will of the Stone, which was immediately a plus in Irugi's book. The teen stood up from his chair to follow instructions, taking care to move far away enough to not hit anything. He slides his left leg back about a half step from his right. He raises both his fists towards his face, and hurls his left first forward - twisting his arm just as the muscular Wanikame did. He slowly brings his arm back, resetting his position. And he repeats. Irugi takes notice of how his weight shifts around with each motion, and adjusts himself accordingly with each jab. He strives to make sure every strike is more potent than the last.
12. (Kaguya, Irugi)
13. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. A tall muscular wanikame says: Impressive.
15. A tall muscular wanikame asks: Everyopne feel as if they have it down?
16. Kaguya, Irugi says: Yes sir. If you twist your body to the right, you put more weight into the strike.
17. A tall muscular wanikame says: Indeed, but I chose not to specificaly put the motion into place, as if you twist too far, you are innacurate and leave yourself wide open.
18. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
19. A tall muscular wanikame placed his feet back together evenly as he seemed to mentally go to the next page in his mental book of basics, and within moments he would speak again. "Next is a simple kick. In the basis of combat your legs act as your longest range without the use of jutsu or weaponry of any kind, thus even the simple kicks such as what I'm about to show you are important." With those words the Wanikame would turn his body to the side, with his right foot forwards and the left angled farther behind. With a quick step forwards he would lean back ever so slightly and send his right foot forwards at an area against average sized shinobi would be a couple inches above their Kneecap. The force behind this one seemed more fierce than the one before for the fact of when the kick was finished, those who paid attention would see his left extended just to where there was only a slight bend in it at all. With amoment of pause after his kick, he would place his leg down and return to his normal position. "Preform this Kick as I demonstrated." it seemed rtather basic at this point, but all classes started dull.
20. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
21. It was only natural to perfect kicks after punches, Irugi figured. Having scrutinized the sensei's demonstration, he did not hesitate to try it out for himself. Turned body, right foot forward. A quick step, and a kick with the right leg darted forward from him. It definitely felt like it'd to more damage than a left straight. Like before, Irugi repeated the kick several times, getting used to it. Not unlike his clan mates, behind him, the youngest Kaguya lacked more than half the fundamentals the instructor demonstrated. If there was anything to show for himself, however, was the strength, knowledge, and conviction brought on due to his upbringing. Every other kick seemed much more potent and well executed than the last. His stern gaze was dead set towards the wall as he practiced. He looked like he wanted really bad to kick a hole into the wall, if his leg extended that far.
22. (Kaguya, Irugi)
23. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
24. A tall muscular wanikame asks: You all seem to be doing well with the basics, now can I assume you all understand the idea of a block to each the punch and the kicks?
25. Kaguya, Irugi says: It wouldn't be a bad idea to go over them quickly.
26. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
27. A tall muscular wanikame would pause, and then return to the fists up position. "When blocking the Straight, use your forearms as a shield as it comes towards the chest or head, and for the kick." he stopped talking to shift towards the original position of the kick, placing both hands together as if preparing to catch the kick in its completion. "Aim to catch the foot if possible, using your elbows to help reduce the force against your body like you would a spring. If you don't catch it, then that's fine, but catching the opponent will give a specific advantage as it momentarily allows you to control the battle." his voice was rather calm still, he was preparing them for something other than just a normal Taijutsu class.
28. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
29. Kaguya, Irugi nodded, mimicking the movements despite not being told to. It was good to become accustomed to them, he thought, regardless of how ridiculous he'd probably look to his peers. It was a quick observation before returning to his neutral position again.
30. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
31. A tall muscular wanikame says: Now, each of you, will be partnered up with someone to practice the kick, Straight and Blocks. a small spar.
32. A tall muscular wanikame says: Find a partner with a number like yours. If there are multiples, and no pairs, then those without pairs, make a pair.
33. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
34. "Three," the boy announced, and glanced around the classroom for the first time in the lesson.
35. (Kaguya, Irugi)
36. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
37. Kageyama exhales heavily. There probably wasn't any point to lying, everyone was equally bad. "Three." he monotoned, facing Irugi with his usual detached stare.

47. Irugi's eyes turned to Kageyama before his head did. The Kaguya's stern, stoic gaze met with the blonde's own. Everyone else had announced their numbers, none of them matched. "Right," stated the youngest Kaguya, straightening up and pocketing his hands. His eyes glimmered with anticipation, in stark contrast to his everything else. Thsi was the part he was waiting for. He was eager to get down to punching and kicking, yet... It didn't seem personal. It was a sight everyone familiar with the clan was aware of. "Right here? Or do you want to go outside?" he gave the smaller teen an offer.
48. (Kaguya, Irugi)
49. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
50. Kageyama sticks his hands in his pockets and starts outside. "Let's go to the hallway, at least. It'll be a pain if we bump into anyone."
51. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
52. Kaguya, Irugi is quick to follow the blonde out of the classroom and into more open space, which he silently appreciated. They didn't have to travel very far. Both combatants now positioned a distance from each other, Irugi gave his opponent a silent, piercing and scrutinizing glare. He raised a pair of tightly clenched fists and spread his legs apart before even saying anything. "If you're so fixed in calling me by my surname," he stated, "it's only fair you tell me yours." Aside from the boy's general... intensity, for lack of a better term, his voice came out in such a calm, collected tone that it made it seem like this was a perfectly ordinary day for the Kaguya. Was it?
53. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
54. Kageyama breathed out through his nose as he stopped, turning to face Irugi. His demeanor hadn't changed - in response to the other's scrutiny, the boy's own expression was defiantly blank. He could already tell that this was going to be someone he didn't get along with...family name aside. Uselessly hot-blooded people were the worst. "It's Kageyama." he replied, flatly. "We're not friends, after all, and I don't particularly plan on changing that." Blinking for a moment at Irugi's demeanor, he sighed, almost halfheartedly throwing up both of his fists before his face and spreading his legs. His head tilted to the side, and a smile came to his face - An obviously insincere, condescending one. "Let's not get so worked up about it...It's just a class, after all. Let's have fun."
55. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
56. "I'm glad you got that out of the way quickly," replied the teen, neither his expression nor demeanor shifting in response to Kageyama's attitude. There was one thing Irugi had the realization to take care of before starting. From his kunai holster, he withdrew the single kunai he carried around with him. He gently tossed it at Ryo on the sidelines. A quick glance in return to Kageyama. Without even readying up or uttering another word, the Kaguya took the initiative - charging straight at Kageyama, his left fist winded and ready to go for an incredibly obvious strike to the face.
57. (Kaguya, Irugi)
58. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
59. Kageyama might have taken a few moments to throw some mockery his opponent's way (mind games cost nothing, after all) but he hadn't taken his eyes off of him for a moment. After the other day, he wasn't taking any chances around anyone whose last name was Kaguya. His eyebrow did lift in response to the other boy ditching his kunai...Whatever was going on there, he was certain he didn't want to know. And here came the strike. Frustratingly eager, this one. Well, that was just fine. The blonde boy preferred to be second to act, all things considered... His motions were blatant. If this were a more freeform spar, this was where he'd probably attack his footing - But there was no point in showing off and trying his best to win this straightforward exercise. He wasn't going to get all worked up over it. So his response was orthodox and by-the-book - He raised his arm and blocked. Kageyama winced, gritting his teeth. The jolt was unpleasant...And that's how it felt BLOCKING it. With Irugi's motion still carrying forward, he opted to straighten out his left leg and send his right foot flying forward to strike his upper leg.
60. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
61. Hints of a grin flashed upon the Kaguya's face for a split second the moment his fist connected with Kageyama's forearm. The adrenaline, the pain of the strike, the feeling and the weight... The thrill of battle contributed to the fact that his plan had worked, for the most part. He had aimed to make the blonde block and occupy him enough to immediately retaliate with a kick. Irugi did not, however, expect Kageyama to reply with one of his own. What ensued was a less-than pleasurable meeting of their calves, causing Irugi to recoil and leave a sharp gasp where he once stood. It was probably too obvious, or maybe he underestimated the boy a tad much. Gritting his teeth as pain shot through his leg, the Kaguya did not relent. He immediately went for another punch, this time to the chest with his right fist. He twisted his body and his arm, just as he had practiced in the classroom.
62. (Kaguya, Irugi)
63. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
64. Kageyama had been expecting his counter to work - as a result, he received an unpleasant shock to his foot, and almost immediately a strong right to the center of his torso - causing him to cough out and grimace. Yeah, no doubt about it, he didn't enjoy pain, one bit. He had basically the opposite expression to Irugi's glee. His reflexes weren't exactly spot on. But he was different in his use of his energy. Kageyama seemed determined to expend as little as possible. Without missing a beat, he counterattacked with a one-two - Forgoing a twist of his body in order to try and catch the other boy off guard, one blow going for his shoulder, the other aimed slightly higher at his face. It wasn't until the attacks were flying that he remembered they hadn't exactly covered that one yet. What was he doing? He refused to believe getting hit had actually aggravated him...
65. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
66. The strike to his shin had shocked Irugi more than he expected it would. Even if he managed to strike Kageyama, the pain in his leg that had yet to die down distracted the Kaguya - enough so that he was a tad late in stopping the blonde's one-two counterattack. He received the blow on the shoulder flat out, pushing him back and away. He only just barely< managed to smack the second strike away from his face, which still managed to soundly connect with the tip of his chin. Another sharp gasp escaped him - the child's way of externalizing pain. He hoped his attempt had been enough, because even in his daze Irugi prepped up for a classroom-practiced kick to Kageyama's stomach. If there was one thing Irugi got out of growing up in the Kaguya household, it was moderate resistance to pain. Even if he lacked more proper form and technique, and even if it didn't seem effortless, he was somewhat quick to recover from Kageyama's equally inexperienced blows.
67. (Kaguya, Irugi)
68. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
69. Kageyama looked more and more irritated as this spar carried on. Predictably, it looked like he was pretty resistant to strikes, given how much he seemed to enjoy fighting...Irugi was a bad matchup for Kageyama, who would rather be fighting anyone from several yards further away than this. Still, he was watching him, observing - Ready for any surprises, using the few moments he was granted from the other boy recoiling away to catch his breath and think about his next move. Straight ahead again, huh. "You're not very creative, are you?" he deadpanned, stepping back one pace and lifting up his hand - attempting to catch his foot as it came as per the instructions, stiffening his elbows to give his joint more stability.
70. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
71. Emotions flew more freely during battle, even if Irugi didn't have many to demonstrate. Kageyama's comment along with the blocking of his kick prompted a twitch of the eye from the Kaguya - - who immediately jumped up the moment his foot was caught, aiming to strike at the blonde's head with full force and bring them both to the ground.
72. (Kaguya, Irugi)
73. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
74. This time, he was ready. While Irugi's first follow-up attack had caught him off guard, he knew to expect it from him now. Although, he wasn't quite prepared for the Kaguya to abandon his footing completely like that. With a startled intake of breath, he released Irugi's foot and stepped to the side, ready to let him fall - The other boy's kick giving the side of his head more than a graze, though just short of the full impact. He staggers, a hand flying up to the hit spot, face screwed up in pain.
75. (Kageyama)
76. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
77. Kaguya, Irugi lands on the ground with a less than graceful thud to his side, but is quick to push himself back up in the slightest of staggers. He adopted a different fighting stance... His palms were open, and his body much more hunched. "Maybe, maybe not," he finally replied to the blonde boy's jest. It was demostrative. Mocking. He quickly adopted the stance the instructor had taught them again. "You don't deserve to find out, though. Not yet." Aina was given the quickest of glances, her presence not gone unnoticed. Irugi couldn't dedicate too much time to that, though. He was in the middle of something. However, he did not attack first this time. He skirted around Kageyama to face him once more, waiting for the shorter boy to both recompose himself and strike first. "Come on, then" he urged. "Show me how you approach."
78. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
79. Kageyama slowly lowered his hand, confirming there was no blood on it - yet. That smug amusement had left his face, and there was a narrow-eyed, burning stare shooting its way across at his opponent. What was that stance? So they were giving up the lesson, huh? He supposed he'd asked for that. "I guess not..." he replied, voice drawling. "After all, I should be honored an elite from a prestigious clan, taught all sorts of special techniques, is daining to spar a commoner like myself." Kageyama's eye twitched. His head lowered, gaze darkening. "Well, alright. I'll do my best not to disappoint you, Kaguya-san." With overt motions utterly unlike before, he started forward, face twisted with clear anger - it might well seem that Irugi had truly touched a nerve. Kageyama's left fist jabbed forward toward Irugi's ribs, his body starting to twist as if to put that same motion behind the blow - ...Which fell short the same instant the anger vanished from his expression. That twisting motion completed with his leg sticking out - ducking down, Kageyama attempted to sweep his lanky leg under Irugi's feet and plant him on the ground for the second time in as many mintutes
80. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
81. Irugi's fists tightened considerably, his gaze trying its best to pierce right through Kageyama's skull. It didn't seem like the Kaguya was the only one capable of spouting out stinging words. But Irugi had most definitely been in more fights than his opponent, and he knew he had to keep a steady head. He knew, but didn't practice it well. He did expect Kageyama to mix up his approach, especially after his own obvious strikes were so easily read and countered. He just didn't know how. He prepared a barried for a punch that never connected and was a tad too slow to completely dodge away from from the sweep, which caught a foot and prompted the Kaguya to fall onto a knee. They had both given up too much with their openings. Irugi took a risky gamble in leaning forward and attempting to land an uppercut on Kageyama's face the moment he regained his bearings, unsure if his opponent had recovered from the sweep in time.
82. (Kaguya, Irugi)
83. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
84. Kageyama knew it was there. There was a moment in which the dazed and unprepared Irugi could've been finished off. But his body couldn't keep up with his mind. Even as he urged himself to punch forward and strike the Kaguya square in the middle of his face, he was a step too late. That blow connected, and it connected solidly. Everything spun, his vision going blurry as he staggered backward, shouting out with pain. It was a miracle he didn't bite his tongue. Regardless, his teeth had clacked together something awful - the entire lower half of his head was aching horribly. Still. Worse at taking a punch he might've been, but he wondered if he could find his bearings anyway, work through the pain... ...But the moment he took that punch, his irritation and apathy at the situation overtook his abrupt, prideful refusal to back down. Kageyama let out a deep breath and held up a hand, glaring off to the side. "Hh. I pass."
85. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
86. It felt good. Finally being able to land a solid fist on Kageyama's face felt really good, especially after that short, seemingly inconsecuential exchange. Recalling his fist, Irugi looked down at the defeated Kageyama - who held a palm up in surrender. The Kaguya teen pushed it away and dove in for an even stronger, solid, and definitely unfair sock to the face. Only then would he deem their battle over. He leaned over the blonde's face and grasped his chin with with hand. His eyes were wide trembling, barely managing to contain the boy's anger. "My name's Irugi," he hissed. "And I'm not better than you because of the two dots on my forehead." He let go, and he stood up. He had definitely felt his own share of blows - Irugi limped, and his breathing was heavy. A lot of his face was also swollen. "I just am."
87. (Kaguya, Irugi)
88. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
89. Kageyama took the punch with a quiet "oof," turning his head with it to at least lessen the impact. The young man's eyes were filled with a intense dislike. A few moments passed, before his hand moved up to slap at the one grasping his chin - regardless, his head got released. Kageyama didn't look great, either. Coupled with that fresh blow, the lower part of his face was looking to develop some new bruises...as were his arms, under his long sleeves. Stoically, he looked to the side at Irugi - placing his arms in his pockets and starting past him. "Ah, I see." he replied, flat, unimpressed. He came to a halt, several paces by. "It may seem that way to you, but nobody else holds that opinion. The house in which you live, the prestige of the name that you carry...The natural talent for the life of a shinobi that's flowing through your veins all tell a different story." Kageyama turned his head, and a slow, quiet smirk spread across his face, in spite of his beaten stature. "And just because you out-muscled a 'commoner' like me won't change anything. Well...Glad to be working with you - Kaguya."
90. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
91. I suppose you're right," he replied, unclenching an angry fist that was hard to hide. "I'll say the same. For a 'commoner'." He repeated the word with Kageyama's exact same entonation. He did not, however, have anything else to say to his opponent. The battle was done, and he managed to drain most of his anger. He instead limped over to Ryo and his cousin.
92. (Kaguya, Irugi)
93. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
94. The moment Irugi's back was turned, Kageyama turned his head forward and winced, face twisted up, jaw clenched to contain the aching pain those blows had given him. He didn't want the other boy to have the satisfaction of seeing how furious and hurt he was.
95. (Kageyama)
