  1. 14:15] Emily cos Salis says, "I trust she is. I'll be having a private meeting inside the house. Carry on."
  2. [14:15] Momo says, "Mhm."
  3. [14:15] Emily cos Salis asks, "--Did she just 'Mhm' at me..?"
  4. [14:15] Emily cos Salis says, "Anyways."
  5. [14:15] Revan orn Task says, "No respect."
  6. [14:20] "Hmph."
  7.
  8. Emily led Revan into the Salis library, sitting down in her exceptionally tailored chair.
  9.
  10. "..."
  11.
  12. There was an issue. No Tea. And both her maids were occupied. This would turn into a problem, if it wasn't for.. "Frankly!! Tea!" the trusty butler of her house. And promptly, he'd rush over and set one cup of tea down on the table. His eyes briefly met Revan's through the helmet, the butler hastily delivering an apologetic bow to the young girl as he brought a second for the Overlord of Theria.
  13.
  14. "--Well then, what is it?" she'd ask, taking a small sip from the Sinka spiced tea before the ruddy blue hues fell on Revan.
  15. (Emily cos Salis)
  16. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  17.
  18. [14:31] Following the young noble to her library, the Overlord would take his seat in the comfortable crafted chair. He was silent as she shouted for tea, the butler meeting his sharp glare before retreating back. Revan was never one to partake in the food offerings of another.. But he would make an exception in this one case, given their history.
  19.
  20. "You're one of the best Alchemists I know.. And the youngest at that.. But I do not see that as a hindrance.. Infact, I think it is a boon.. You haven't had your passion tempered yet by too many hardships.. I can see your ambition is still bright.. I wish to commission a potion from you."
  21.
  22. Lifting the tea cup, he wouldn't bother blowing on the steaming liquid as he took a quick sip, letting the searing water sit in his mouth for a moment before swallowing. He'd reach into his sleeve, and in it would be a vial and a jar.
  23.
  24. Placing the jar before it, it contained something that looked like a salamander's leg, quite large infact, and perfectly preserved in a solution.
  25.
  26. "This is an axolotl leg.. It came from a creature known to spread luck and good fortune.. However.. They were hunted to near extinction.. because they possess natural regenerative properties.."
  27.
  28. It was a trophy from his first mission, given to him by his now departed older brother. He had asked for the leg for his research, but it seems he had too many projects to work on to dedicate himself to using it. Then the vial that contained a white, viscous fluid.
  29.
  30. "And this.. Is some kind of mucus I collected from.. A crellus that grew too old.. It started consuming all biomass around it.. And it grew into a mountain sized monster.. I think it could be some kind of binding agent.. However.. I am unsure.. I thought you could determine how to use it best.. However.. I was hoping to.. Be made whole.. Once again.."
  31.
  32. Rolling his right sleeve up, he would show an ornately crafted gauntlet that had dragon-like claws for fingers, and three glowing gems on the back. Continuing up, he would show the mithril prosthetic that now replaced his flesh in blood.
  33.
  34. "Is this.. Something you believe you could do?"
  35. (Revan orn Task)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [14:54] The young noble quietly sipped away at the tea and listened. How Revan managed to do so without removing his helmet remained a mystery. One out of many surrounding the Overlord of Theria. And while Emily was, indeed, one of the youngest alchemists out there, she didn't feel like one. She practiced the arts for years, being taught by the most renown brewers alive such as her father or the black Lupin, Atilus Rosier.
  39.
  40. And her curiosity was sparked. Eyes lit up. The tea was quickly set onto the saucer before she opened her mouth.
  41.
  42. "I have read about the Axolotl. Mythical beasts from the spirit realm.. And they possess unnatural regenerative capabilities.. Fitting for the purpose of such a creation." she'd say, eyeing the salamander's remains.
  43.
  44. This would be a challenge. A challenge that was long sought for the alchemic prodigy of the house Salis. Under the guidance of the most renown alchemists of Esshar, her father and Atilus Rosier, she hadnever felt challenged, having mastered alchemy before she could even properly pronounce the word 'Poppylus'. Emily was likely one of the youngest in history to master the art. But.. how does one master?
  45.
  46. Ambition. And being born to do so, of course.
  47.
  48. "So.. the mucus would be likely to retain that factor. Of consuming the biomass around it, that is. I do have an idea of how we could use such an ingredient.."
  49.
  50. Ruddy blue eyes would drift over the Task's prosthetic. 'A cripple?' she thought to herself. All those ingredients.. and he simply wishes to be made whole again?
  51.
  52. Possible? Definitely. Likely so. And.. what was more likely?
  53.
  54. It will make him more whole than ever.
  55.
  56. "Now.. binding those two ingredients would certainly work. There are healing properties to cosmic magic too. A potion infused with such.. or perhaps a balm even. It wouldn't even matter what it is. It will restore you, and will likely make you more whole than ever. If this mucus would allow you to absorb biomass to a certain degree..."
  57.
  58. Emily grinned at the idea. A chance to gain renown for her house. With the Overlord of Theria, even. And more importantly.. A challenge worthy of a noble.
  59.
  60. "You are a nature magi. Do you know what that means?"
  61. (Emily cos Salis)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [15:13] Theria's Overlord was a man of MANY talents, being able to drink while wearing the Helm of The First Flame was simply one a rare few were ever graced to witness. Yet the young cos Salis would get quite the display as he would take several long sips as he listened to her.
  65.
  66. He saw how the other youth flocked to her, already having a healthy enterprise under her belt at this age. As she eyed the ingredients and shared her thoughts, Revan knew that he had made the right choice. Where the girl had probably learned the principals of alchemy and memorized recipes, this would be pure experimentation.
  67.
  68. The Patriarch dabbled in alchemy himself, but he never decided to delve into anything more than levitation potions and lumberjack aids. His information of the reagents came from the master alchemist Hades himself, so Revan would share the information.
  69.
  70. However, Emily was very knowledgeable in her field, even having just the kind of magic necessary to get the desired result.
  71.
  72. Will likely make you more whole than ever.
  73.
  74. "That is.. Exactly what I wished to hear.. I gave my leg to save the life of a friend.. My arm to defend Starfall against the demons and witches.. However.. My chest.. My chest was taken from me.. And though it has crippled me quite a bit.. I refuse to let it put me down for good."
  75.
  76. Every piece of him he lost, something new was gained, respect for life and those around him. However, with his chest taken by Walter? It would only throw a heavy log onto his raging fire to strike back against Barsburg. However, when she notes him being a nature magi, he would furrow his brows.
  77.
  78. ".. No.. What does it mean?"
  79.
  80. He may have been attuned to nature, however, he was not classically trained as a druid. Revan's affinity for life was something that grew from his desire to better himself, and he found what he thought to be a harmonious balance as he balanced the give and take of survival of the fittest.
  81. (Revan orn Task)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [15:28] Revan.. defended Starfall tower at the cost of his arm. Something a knight would do. A knight of Nysea. Why the Overlord of Theria would give so much to defend a foreign country would remain a mystery to the young girl. But that taken aside, she'd simply listen and watch the man pour some more of the tea through a hole in his helmet.
  85.
  86. An explanation of the properties of an Axolotl leg wasn't needed. The noble would likely only take insult in that, given that she was as educated as one can be. Naturally. She was expected to know more than a child could handle. And while she wasn't a medic herself, she watched Anastasia's treatments and read books and scripts about anatomy enough to gauge the possibility of success.
  87.
  88. Success in restoring the Warlord to more than full. And the chances? More than full.
  89.
  90. "This mucus right here.. Think about it. The crellus absorbed biomass around it. What are the vines you summon?" she said, reaching for the vial on the table and eyeing it with a healthy dose of curiosity.
  91.
  92. The ruddy blue eyes quickly locked onto the Task once more. Overtaken with ambition, even showing an astral glimmer residing on her lids as Biblos itself clarified: Emily was overtaken with joy and anticipation. She hadn't even mentioned the price for such an endeavour. Something that many would see as impossible for the shrewd businesswoman.
  93.
  94. "Biomass. With this mixed into the potion, you will be able to regenerate your limbs yourself. If the sheer power of the healing properties won't do it for you."
  95.
  96. (Emily cos Salis)
  97. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  98.
  99. [15:44] One of his duties as Patriarch of the Fireblooded was to always kindle the youth held, that young flame that held so much potential. Revan only wished to be whole again, complete, however, her sights were set far higher than that as she sought to make him more than whole.
  100.
  101. She would remind him of the Elder Crellus that became so large he crawled through it's bowels and fought his way out before finally squaring up against it proper. She would remind him of the vines and plants he could empower to grow within an instant, and then she would connect the two with a flawless thread.
  102.
  103. His jaw would drop as he was quite literally speechless from the little cos Salis' observation and theory. Revan was a doctor, and had even used his plants to regrow patches of skin after burns or other mean injuries, he knew it could be done.
  104.
  105. ".. I.. Think you're on to something there.. Between the reagents we have here.. Your cosmic magic.. And my nature.. I certainly don't see why this isn't feasible."
  106.
  107. Nothing came for free, and growing flesh and tissue would take resources from somewhere why not integrate the environment into his own body? He disliked the metal of his prosthetics, they were stagnant, incapable of growth.. Why not integrate the every changing land into him so he can also continue to grow?
  108.
  109. "We.. may need another ingredient.. If this isn't enough.. But I believe we have enough to work on from here to move forward.. let me know if there is anything I can help you with."
  110.
  111. It is then he would adjust in his chair, she was a business woman, and he was a Dragon, and as he just thought.. Nothing came for free. There'd be a hum as he thought.
  112.
  113. "If I remembered.. our agreement was as long as I remained in Myllenoris.. I'd tend your garden.. I suspect I will have to visit you often to check on the progress.. So.. I imagine offering some of my work in exchange for yours will be suitable? I.. Can also cook for you, should you have the ingredients.. I am.. Quite the chef, I've been told."
  114. (Revan orn Task)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [16:14]
  118. {LOAD GAME}
  119.
  120. [16:15] Emily would have loved to see the Overlord's jaw drop from her idea. It was a mystery to the young noble how Biblos chose her over Neoi sometimes. But it was one out of many things she held pride in. And.. Revan's payment made her question something.
  121.
  122. Why does everyone want to become her maid all of a sudden?
  123.
  124. The second one today to offer that.. Clearly, being in Emily's service was quite popular these days. A shake of her head.
  125.
  126. "I have no doubts that it'll work. However.. My maids have taken up the service of gardening and cooking already. You'd be helpful with your nature magic in assisting them, but.."
  127.
  128. Business woman engaged.
  129.
  130. "Five thousand additional coins would be enough, seeing as most of the services aren't too much needed." The noble would proclaim, raising her index. "At least in the cooking terms."
  131.
  132. But then, the finger would wander towards her face, tapping her chin a couple times as she thought some more.
  133.
  134. "I will provide some fairy powder as another binding reagent. It is an important ingredient for healing elixirs. Water crystals would, of course, be mandatory. Along with a couple earth crystals, maybe- Oh hello mother! I'm doing business at the moment."
  135.
  136. The pondering about the additional ingredients to be used would be halted by none other than Astrid, joining the two in the room. A wave of the noble's hand and another sip on her tea as she waited for Revan to speak up again.
  137. (Emily cos Salis)
  138. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  139.
  140. [16:19] There would be a squint, he knew that her employ had recently grown quite a bit, however, he hoped with his ability to provide reagents instantly as well as food that gave more energy than most, yet it seemed she had that covered. A low growl would come from him at the mention of gold.
  141.
  142. "Mmh.. very well then.."
  143.
  144. It was an agreeable price, especially with the additional resources she was adding, her time, and the promise to make him whole again.. Yes, five thousand was more than agreeable.
  145.
  146. "I'll begin collecting the funds then.. I'll pay half when I have it.. And the other half when the remedy is finished."
  147.
  148. With that, he would rise, extending a hand to the girl.
  149.
  150. "I look forward to seeing what you make.. And of course.. if you ever need my help with any step of the process.. Simply ask."
  151. (Revan orn Task)
