  16. The Modern era of Sonic gaming is an interesting one. To stand there and watch Sonic do his thing as a bystander, that was pretty entertaining, I have to admit. Almost drowning when Chaos decided to raise the sea level around Station Square by fifty feet, not so crazy about that. Up to that point I was satisfied to just be in the audience, but that kick in the pants was enough for me to start getting more active.
  17.
  18. By "more active" I mean equipping my armor, taking up the identity of Sovereign again, and stirring up trouble wherever I could. Selling space-age gear to GUN? Sure. Profiting off the back of an alien invasion? No problem. Sabotaging a space station so that when it charges up to blow a chunk out of the moon, it ends up shorting out the weapon system and leaves the heroes free to power-up and beat the tar out of an egg-shaped lunatic? Oh my, yes.
  19.
  20. Getting in the middle of the more idiotic plots, kicking them in the teeth, and stealing the show a couple of times? Well, that's half the fun, isn't it? Even if I AM playing the villain of the piece when it suits me.
  21.
  22. Watching the bad guy finally manage to win and capture Sonic, then signing on with the Resistance?
  23.
  24. Pffft, no.
  25.
  26. I'm just going to harass the bad guys for a while as a convenient distraction for the Resistance at appropriate times, then make my own play to snag the Phantom Ruby for myself.
  27.
  28. ...
  29.
  30. You know, you'd think I'd have learned that doing these things to cap off my stay when I reach the decade point would have unexpected effects...
