Beam

Link opened the wooden box to find a one-handed sword inside. Link grabbed it by its handle and held it out in front of him. He noticed that its blade shone brightly like clear ice. It was a steel blade, the finest Link had ever held.

"That's the White Sword, Link!" Fanny said while flapping her clear wings.

The old man grinned. "Yes, that's it. The White Sword. It is the best of its kind and made of white steel. Meant for slaying demons, it was forged by the most well-known swordsmith in the land.

"Slaying demons?"

"That's right. Its sharpness is in a league of its own, and the magic sealed within it allows the wielder to unleash a flurry of beams a hot as the sun. See the button on the hilt? Push it and..."

"This, right?" Link questioned, wasting no time in trying it out. "Wagh!"

The blade shone a bright white before firing off a beam of light. It fired off toward a surprised Kashim, grazing his head before hurtling toward the rock wall. On impact, the blast was grand and ugly.

"That's one powerful beam," Link said. His voice had to fight through the rain of bricks falling from the point of impact.
