BACKGROUND ; (i hope this isn't too depressing)
    » mina was conceived before her parents were married, and because of this, her father freaked out and bolted before she was born. both her parents were young, and not ready to start a family, and her father panicked from the pressure of being a dad. as a result of this, mina was never really close to him, and doesn't know who he his, too scared to bring it up in case it upsets her mother. she sometimes blames herself for the breakup of her family, which can really eat away at her sometimes, but she will always try and cover it up with a smile. she was born and raised in japan with her mother, and grandmother as her only family. when she was ten, they moved over to korea when her mother was transferred for her job. with her job being the only source of income the family had, they had no choice but to pack up everything and leave japan. never having lived in korea, mina struggled with the language, which put a lot of pressure on her to do well at school when she began failing all her subjects because she was having trouble understanding. this led to a lack of sleep, which only got worse. it wasn't until she was fourteen did her mother begin to notice her irregular sleeping pattern and go and get her checked out. she still bears the guilt of splitting her family up, which can cause occasional periods of depression. when she was fifteen, she took a liking to photography, because photos were stable, and they would never ever change. because of this, she wants to go and study photography courses when she goes to university.

PERSONALITY ;
    » when she is around other people, mina is never seen without a smile on her face. she is the type of person who will go all out to make others smile, even if it means embarrassing herself. she is also extremely chatty, and never seems to shut up, often mixing japanese into a lot of her sentences, because she can sometimes be a bit self conscious of her language skills, even though her pronunciation is fine, it's just the reading and writing that causes her to stumble. she talks with her hands a lot, to add emphasis to things (which can sometimes be dangerous for those standing around her because she has accidentally hit people before when she's gotten too excited). however, her excessive talking is her way of pushing her darker thoughts away, and she feels that if she pretends hard enough, eventually they won't affect her any more, because she hates confrontation, and likes to ignore her problems until they go away. however, because of this, she is a brilliant liar, and can fool people into thinking anything she wants them to believe. even though she isn't the youngest, she has a lot of aegyo up her sleeve, and is not afraid to use it as a weapon to get whatever she wants, along with her killer smile. she absolutely hates seeing other people upset, and doesn't want people to have to suffer like she does. which is why she goes all out when it comes to cheering people up. she knows just about every 'dad joke' out there, and is full of puns and perverted remarks. she can act really immature sometimes, but she is actually very responsible, and knows where to draw the line. because of this, she is sort of like the mother of the group, who is always making sure the others are okay, constantly putting them before herself. despite this, she is also very fussy about she will or won't eat or wear. if something bothers her, she absolutely has to do something about it, or it will eat away at her for a really long time.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ; i wrote one for her backup interest too, because some of it wouldn't fit
    » MINGHAO | the first time they met was at the hotel, when she had snuck into the kitchen to complain because someone had put tomatoes in her order when she had specifically said not to. she walked in on him arguing with mingyu, she sort of stood there awkwardly for a bit because neither of them noticed her standing there, until she said something corny like "you should turn your frowns upside-down", then sat on the counter and started to lecture them about arguing. he kind of just stood there staring at her wondering a) what she was doing in his kitchen, b) how long had she been listening in and why was she bothering to lecture them, and c) why was she just helping herself to the marshmallow stash next to the desserts. in all honesty, he was really confused and kind of shocked, because none of the guests had ever done that before. she was just sitting there casually and thought he was really cute, but she was also lowkey hoping that she'd be able to finish off the packet of marshmallows before he kicked her out.
    » SEUNGKWAN | they first met when mina went down to the front desk to ask for more pillows (because she really likes fluffy pillows, and her friends wouldn't let her steal theirs). he ended up sassing her, and mina got pissed off, but instead of ignoring it, she started going on about how he should be a bit politer to some of the guests, and that he was going to get frown lines if he kept looking at her like that. then she went on to ask him again for more pillows, this time pulling out her aegyo to get him to agree. he gave in (telling himself that no, it was /not/ because of her aegyo) and gave her the pillows, but he couldn't stop himself from making a sassy comment about her height as she walked off with a stack of pillows in her arms (which looked as if it was taller than her). she responded by giving him the finger, but dropped the pillows while doing it, and he just sat there laughing while she tried to pick them up, and eventually had to get the help of one of the other workers who was in the lobby at the time


HOW HE/SHE ACTS AROUND YOUR CHARACTER ; (this only works for minghao, but i'm too lazy to write both, so just let me know if you want me to change it to suit the backup love interest)
    » BEG | he's sort of wary around her at first, because she did just invite herself into the kitchen and start stealing their marshmallows, while lecturing him on how she shouldn't be arguing. he did find her cute, but he starts blushing whenever she comes near him after that, because he doesn't really know how to act around girls because he's just a really innocent smol bean.
    » MID | towards the middle, he's not so wary, because he realises that she's just a really chatty and happy person (and that she is not just some psycho marshmallow stealer). he does however realise that her smiles don't quite reach her eyes, and that she is hiding something, and tries to slowly press her about it, which doesn't really end well because she starts to avoid him, and he worries that he's pissed her off.
    » END | he fells like shit because he likes her, but now she won't talk to him, and he keeps trying to talk to her, but she just gives him moody one word answers until he blurts out that he kind of sort of likes her.


HOW YOUR CHARACTER ACTS AROUND HIM/HER ; ^
    » BEG | she's her normal happy self, and doesn't act any different despite the fact that she broke into the kitchen when guests aren't really supposed to go in there. she doesn't seem to notice that he is kind of wary of her. she's very shameless, and has no problems in asking him for more marshmallows, then laughing at the face he give hers
    » MID | she's still her normal self, but then she starts realising that he seems to be able to see through her happy act, which only leads to her trying to be overly happy to try and throw him off, but it doesn't work. when he does start to question him, she starts to avoid him, because she hates confrontation and doesn't want to have to talk about it.
    » END | she still avoids him until he blurts out that he kind of sort of likes her, and then she kind of stops avoiding him and she's not really sure why. she slowly opens up to him about her insomnia and other stuff and he listens. after this, she is even more relaxed around him because she feels like she doesn't have to hide anything, then kisses him as a way to thank him for listening (this is cliche i'M SORRY)
