Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting on the couch with his computer resting on the chair next to him, his body turned in toward Anna who was sitting on the couch beside him showing him pictures on her phone. "Right, I know what you mean. Like sort of surrealism, right?" He confirmed, jotting a few notes into his notebook he held in his lap. // Anna nodded, tossing her stupidly long ponytail over her shoulder only to pull the hair back onto her shoulder thirty seconds later so she could rake her fingers through it. "Exactly. I want it to be like... a work of art. Like just superrrrr artistic, ya' know?"-
Covet: Kelsey had been in the office with Nancy and Anna's dad going over the details for the release at the end of the month. She walked out to see Brad and Anna talking, standing there a moment to listen to them about her next video. She couldn't help but feel that pull of jealousy because dammit he was her director, even though she told him no more of that.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, so..." He paused, reaching for his computer to open some of the concepts he'd researched to show her. "For each scene, I was thinking these sort of colors and lighting themes to set this powerful tone." // "Oh my god yes, totally just like that!" She said excitedly, tossing her hair over her shoulder yet again and smiling widely. "Okay so can you like, email me those so I can look at other stuff too?" When she noticed Kelsey standing and watching them, she waved with a warm smile. "Kels oh my god you have to see the visuals for my new video."-
Covet: Kelsey forced a smile on her face and her feet to move, walking over to the couch so that she could see what they had put together. "What do you guys have put together so far?" She asked politely not wanting to convey how salty she felt.
Alexithymiaa: "Mostly concept images right now." He said, turning his computer so she could see what he had open. "This really artsy feel. Like renaissance (sp? Im lazy) sort of feeling." // Anna nodded, gesturing to Brad's computer as she spoke. "But I'm going to like... Covet: "Wow, that's going to be pretty over the top." Kelsey said with a nod of her head. "I'm sure it will turn out really cool." She bit the inside of her cheek as she glanced at Brad, realizing she might be failing at this whole keeping her cool thing.
Alexithymiaa: "I thought so. We have a lot of work to do yet, so we're just making sure we have the idea down for now so we can really hash out all the details." He turned his computer back around, saving a few more images he wanted to reference later. // "Right? I'm super excited for this. Like... I totally can't wait to start asap. Brad was saying it might be like an all week shoot because of how much I want to do so that's definitely like the longest shoot I've ever done. Isn't that crazy?"-
Covet: Forcing another smile on her face she nodded her head, "Yeah definitely, sounds like that's going to be .... a busy week. But I'm sure it will be well worth the effort." She said in that kind of obnoxious annoying patronizing way that bitchy girls do, where it almost sounds genuine but it isn't.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad did not know of the girl rule and therefore was completely oblivious to Kelsey's attitude. "Yeah, but I think it'll at least be an interesting shoot even if it's a little chaotic." // Anna smiled back at Kelsey, picking up on the small bitchiness in her voice. "Hard work pays off though, right Kels?"-
Covet: Kelsey looked at Brad, and nodded her head, "Mhhm, sometimes Chaos isn't a bad thing." She heard Anna and had to bite her tongue because of her experience with working hard lately. " We hope at least." She said with a laugh, trying to brush it all off.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad smirked and rubbed the back of his beanie, pushing up from the couch so he could walk over to his bag across the room. Slipping his computer inside, he turned to face the girls again. "I think we've all got big dreams and you can only accomplish them by working hard. Which we've all done, so good on us." // "Right? We're just like a bunch of busy bees." Anna giggled, crossing one leg over the other. "Oh my gosh, Kels would you want to make a cameo appearance in my video?"-
Covet: "Some of us harder than others, but yes good on us. We're successful and all that." She said to Brad then looked over at Anna, "Oh, I..I'm flattered, and I'd love to, but I don't know how good of an idea that is." Kelsey said looking over at Brad. "I've been trying to be a little less busy, to ease up on the stress lately."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah.... we're trying to make sure no one is spread too thin and Kelsey already has a pretty full plate. It's sweet of you to ask though." He commended her because he thought she was just a peach. // "Oh, no worries, I understand. I just thought it might be fun to have you be a part of all the fun. It's okay though, you should totalllyyyy stay home and rest if you need to."-
Covet: "It's not so much rest.. it's just... complicated." Kelsey said with a shrug, feeling that humbling guilt hit her again, causing a shift in her mood. "But I'm sure you guys will have a great time and it will be a fantastic video. Thank you for asking, it would be fun, but maybe next one?" She asked looking at her with a more sincere smile.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad smiled and walked over to kelsey, giving her shoulder a rub. "Next video, definitely. We'll even figure in a good little cameo for you to make up for missing this one." // Anna popped up from the couch so she could shift over and give Kelsey a big hug. "Oh my gosh yes. Oh next time you come out to LA we should def go out. We found this super cute club where everything is all brightly colored and pastel. Even their drinks."-
Covet: "Thanks guys." She said with a softer smile, then looked at Anna, "That could be fun. We could probably do that, it sounds like that club is really fun. I missed the last pastel event I could have gone to in LA." She said in reference to the Victoria Secret halloween party because Brad had found out about her coke issue the thursday before and she'd stayed home that weekend with Connor instead.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh yeah, you were telling me about that. We could do that, it sounds good." He said with a nod, slipping his hands into his pockets. "I could use a good night out." // "Aw no pastel event should go missed like... ever." She giggled, shaking her head. "They have cute names for their drinks, too. It's a little gimmicky, but I totally love it. It makes it more fun."-
Covet: "I don't mind gimmicky, I'm terribly cliche like that myself. A night out could be good for us all, Maybe after the shoot if we can't get it in before?" Kelsey suggested to them.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah as long as it's fun I really don't care what they call their drinks." He walked back over and sat back on the couch, looking to Anna. "So does this mean you'll be going solo for a while?" // Anna's usual bubbly upbeat attitude sank, pursing her lips and getting a little quiet. "Yeah... I think so."-
Covet: "Solo?" Kelsey asked looking over at Anna seeing her mood change now.
Alexithymiaa: "Sorry...." He said softly when Anna flipped, sinking in on himself a little because he felt like an asshole now. // Anna nodded, stroking her hands over her hair. "Yeah... Peter and me broke up. So I'll just be going out by myself for a while."-
Covet: "Oh, I'm sorry Anna. If I'm being honest, that all happened pretty quick. And you can do a lot better, you need to make those boys work for your affection and hand if they really want it." Kelsey said with a nod, then gave her a hug. "This just means that you have a variety of options now, and don't have to settle for anything more than what makes you happy."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, see. You deserve the best in the world and maybe he just wasn't the best. If you ask me, it seemed like he wasnt nearly as cool as you are. You'll find someone that lives up to your sparkling reputation." // Anna forced a smile and nodded at their kind words, leaning in to give Kelsey a hug back. "Aw thanks. You're so sweet. It's just hard to recover after a break up. I really thought he was like.... you know... a forever love."-
Covet: "Really? I think he was trying way to hard." Kelsey said with a shrug, "Plus, after he kind of made fun of a Marine vet who only has one eye, on SNL...it's probably best that you distanced yourself from him when you did. You don't need that kind of drama in your life."
Alexithymiaa: "Exactly. You only want good exposure and to surround yourself with good people that will only complement and make you look better. You don't want any of that. That's why you've got us." He said with a smile, swinging his arm around Kelsey's shoulders. // Anna nodded her head, pushing up to her feet. "I know, but still. It's just something I'll have to get used to now." She let out a sigh, glancing at her father in the office and seeing him wave her in. "Sorry, it looks like they're ready for me. Excuse me." She ducked away from them, stepping into the office and sliding the door shut behind her.-
Covet: "You'll be alright. And you'll be stronger because of this." Kelsey said giving her another hug, before she got up and left, then looked at Brad, "Home?"
Alexithymiaa: -Brad watched Anna go into the office with her dad and Nancy and then looked to Kelsey. "Yeah, home. I feel bad for her. She seems so depressed about it even though he was kind of a jerk." He walked over to grab his backpack with his things, swinging it up onto his back. "We should see when she goes back and invite her to hangout. No work stuff, just fun."-
Covet: "I think we can do that." Kelsey said, because she felt bad too, but a single Anna was a mild threat to her because she still is under the impression that Anna has a thing for Brad. She got up and started to head for the door so they could head back to the dorms.
