  1. Day 14: Kaleidoscope
  2. I was dreaming of a strange place. I was in a room made of nothing but mirrors, strangely. Initially, there was enough light to see the faint outline of myself, but soon enough it got bright enough to actually distinguish colors.
  3.
  4. All I could see were the infinitely made reflections of myself, as if I had entered a portal to the infinite. The people around me were the same person, yet potentially completely different.
  5. Each different copy of myself could be from different universes; the one in front of me could be a political activist in his world, another a world-renowned musician.
  6.
  7. That one over there probably has a completely different identity and name, and the one right next to him was probably the perfect version of me, doing the exact same things as I would, but just better in literally every way.
  8.
  9. Some of them might be happier than me. Some of them might be more upset. Some more weird, some normal. In the end though, these are all reflections of myself, just with a few key differences.
  10.
  11. I looked at the mirror image of myself, maintaining perfect eye contact, and started talking to him.
  12.
  13. "It's easy to lose track of who you are with how much you do, and sometimes parts of yourself become exaggerated and you start blowing things out of proportion. What you need to remember is that these reflections of yourself are just that: reflections. They might look like you, and they may do the same things, but what they do is ultimately not their decision; it's yours.
  14.
  15. Only I am me."
  16.
  17. As I said that last part, the mirrors around me started cracking, before shattering completely; it was about then when I woke up and found myself in a completely different place.
